New Moon in Cancer July 28: Time for Protection

Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about the new moon, which happens July 28. This new moon will occur Cancer. And the Nakshatra it's going to be in is Pusha. This is probably one of the best Nakshatras. It deals with nourishment. But the moon in cancer, even though, can be very, very temperamental. And I've got to clue you in on what this new moon that happens July 28th is going to be all about. We're starting a new semester this month of July. So that is universityofbedicastrology.com now let's talk about this new moon. New moon is the beginning of something new. But usually it's because the moon is so dark, because it's actually when the sun and the moon are conjunct. But you don't ever see it rise in the sky at night because the sun obliterates it and it's just not able to be seen. Then all of a sudden you see the sliver the next day and we have what's called the waxing moon for the next two weeks till it culminates to its brightness and the full moon. So the new moon is when it's in the gestation period of something that's just about to begin. This is huge in the moon being in Cancer. Cancer is the most sensitive sign of the zodiac. They sense, they feel, they know, absorb energies from all. This is the most feeling sign. And because of that, it can be the most insecure sign because it feels and knows everything to such an extent. It's over powering. Now, let me talk a little bit too about this new moon because being in Cancer, Saturn has backed up into Capricorn as of around the time of the full moon, around July 13th. And so now we have Saturn back in Capricorn. But that means it's aspecting the Moon by opposition. This means a heavy, heavy time. Something is weighing heavy on the world. Big changes are happening.

And you see Mars, Uranus and Rahu are all together in the sign of Aries, and they're about to make their exact conjunction by 31 July, just two days from this point. So they are in orb of almost their exact conjunction. It doesn't have to be the exact conjunction to have an event. They are close enough where things are pivotal and things will be happening. This is a dark new Moon. And darkness in the terms of heaviness so heavy during this time, very, very difficult.

Cancer, Capricorn. Capricorn's about government. Cancer is about feelings and the threat of will we be secure.

Because remember, this is the sign that deals with security and Saturn's aspect to it, plus Pluto in Capricorn aspecting these two planets deal with the threats of insecurity, threats that could be liable to happen. Now, this moon in Cancer will be pretty much about in a square to Mars. And so we're feeling very tense right now. We know something's about to give and something's about to happen. And in the darkness we can't see it. That's what's actually occurring at this time. But I think by the time we come to.

The 31st, we will know. We will know exactly what we're facing. But many, many more events are likely before it's all over.

And this will entail between now to the end of the year. But.

Jupiter being in Pisces is actually casting a trine to this moon. So this means there are opportunities for many to come forth and, and offer help wherever it's needed in this world.

And it's mainly about compassion. I think from the water signs that we're looking at right now, Jupiter and the New Moon being in water signs, it's time to come forth with compassion.

And a true sense of healing and helping others. That's what I think needs to come out of this.

Time period. But.

There are so many forces of anger and violence out there. Too much is happening all at one time. And this new Moon puts it in the perspective that yes, it's in the Nakshatra Pusha, which deals with nourishment and probably we're looking at a time when we all need more nourishment and that goes physically. So maybe there's like problems with food shortages that are coming about at this time. Saturn is aspecting this new moon, there is a threat of this. But at the same time, since it does deal with nourishment, this can also be nourishment of the mind and the spirit. And I'm going to take it for that because we have to find the silver lining in everything that we're looking at. And, and this new moon in Cancer starts a new beginning of emotional compassion and helping people because we're going to need it. I am seeing things on the horizon that are going to heat up our world, reveal things we didn't know that will make us angry.

When these things come up that we didn't know, that's what spurs on the anger. And of course, security. What does that deal with? Financial security. This is all very threatening and I know that this is affecting the United States chart from a deep perspective. Cancer is the eighth house in the US Chart that I use. So everything is coming up where we have to pay attention and find security. And that doesn't mean being so fearful that you go into a cave. No, it means being helpful to others and being in the light. Being coming from a place of positive knowingness that you are protected by the divine and that you by being positive and from the light energy and I mean looking at how you can help others in the world, this will make a difference. And this is what the world needs right now. And this is what this new moon is indicating is a start. Because what I see is everything's being purged and coming out. And that is a healing.
