Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about the new moon that actually occurs December 1st. So this is a new beginning for the month of December. But this new moon is really powerful because it sits exactly on the fixed star Antares. Antares sits at 15, 16 degrees of Scorpio. And here is the new moon, 15 degrees of Scorpio.
Antares is the star of war. It is a star of violence, deals with weapons, war, all of these negative things, but all at the same time. It is a very, very powerful star for leadership and for warriors. So we're going to find a lot of things are heating up and, and becoming dangerous, I guess I might say, in this world during this last month of the year. Now, the good news is, is while this, this new moon sits here in Scorpio, Jupiter is aspecting it, which can bring out some positive and good events concerning this. So it's not all negative and terrible. The fact that Rahu and Ketu, well, Rahu is actually in a trinal aspect to this new moon which can intensify things a lot.
So what that means is intensity and power. Now let's talk a minute about the Nakshatra that this moon is in. It's called Anuradha. In Anuradha is a Nakshatra that deals specifically, specifically with friendship and honor. So with it being on this star in Anuradha, there's something about a coming together for people, coming together with a purpose, with meaning, connection and friendship. But it's probably going to deal a lot with people that are becoming in alliance with one another in order for protection. That is what I'm seeing with all of this coming together. This is an amazing moon in Scorpio. Scorpio is the most passionate, the most intense and probably deeply emotional sign of the zodiac. And when I say deeply emotional, that's all this, this deep, gut wrenching emotion. The problem with Scorpio is it has a hard time expressing its emotion but feels it so profoundly. And I think that's because it is a physical fixed water sign. Water dealing with emotion, fixed dealing with. Well, I used to call Scorpio like ice. It's like this emotion that's frozen up and can't be expressed. This is what we're going to be feeling now. What is opposite the star of Antares is the star that sits at 15 degrees of Taurus, which is Aldebaran. This polar axis in Taurus and Scorpio is one of the most powerful points in the Zodiac, I am serious. This is monumental and this is bringing about some incredible changes at this time. And right here December 1st, we still have Mercury retrograde. Mercury went retrograde on the 25th of November and it will be here all the way. Mercury will turn direct, but it won't be till, let me see here.
December 6th. That's what I thought. So at this time Mercury is still retrograde, but it's slowing down, preparing to go forward. But Mercury being with the new moon in Scorpio, it is all about media. And also this can have some major effects on traveling because these are. There could be some occurrences of major blow ups or problems with airlines or, or mechanicals or even somehow attacks on airplanes because we've got this star with the retrograde Mercury. So this is a time to be cautious about travel. But I will say it is a blessing that Jupiter is aspecting this new moon in Mercury. But you know what I will say sometimes Jupiter simply makes things bigger. Be aware of that. But I really do think something good will come out of something bad. That's what I usually see with Jupiter aspects when you have some difficulty. But Jupiter's there. So Jupiter will be the reversal of events and things. But let me just say that this new moon is the start of something new that could be dealing with anger, the undercurrents of anger, war, violence.
But what it's doing is it brings things to the surface so that now we know what we're dealing with. It's not hidden anymore. And let me just say Scorpio is the sign that can deal with hidden agendas.
But being in the Nakshatra of Anuradha can mean hidden agendas where people come together with an alliance. And this could definitely be concerning war. So maybe certain countries will align and come together which may not be so good for world peace. Let me put it that way. That's what I see happening with this extreme aspect. Now another thing that's happening is Saturn is.
Aspecting this degree, but Jupiter's aspecting it. So it is a point of manifestation. When you have both Jupiter and Saturn aspecting a point, it brings manifestation. Jupiter gives opportunities while Saturn gives the discipline and the focus to make things happen. So here's what I think will be the outcome that's positive. Because of the threat of war and violence.
There will be a building of protection and building of armed forces to protect. Therefore this alliance coming together will help in terms of protection and what I'm going to say future peace. Because this is the building of war, building of violence and anger. But eventually what will come of this? Something good will come out of it and it will be the building of armies that will.
Keep things at peace. So not that they're going to have to use the armies, but they will build them for protection. I pray we don't have to use them, but that's what I see here. So be ready. This is a very violent new moon, and new moons are usually the planting the seed of what will come two weeks later.
