Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today we're going to talk about the new moon, which happens June 18, and it happens at 2 degrees of Gemini, which is in the Nakshatra Murugashira. What does this mean for this new beginning? New start? A new moon, remember, is where the seed is planted. Therefore it means something's going to grow of this. Well, I gotta just say Gemini is always about how we learn, how we communicate to people. And really and truly, communications is one of the most important essence of what we truly desire in this world. Why do I say that? I mean, think about how important your phone has come to you over the course of the recent past. We all carry our phone because we all want to stay in communication. We need each other. We need to connect. So Gemini is the sign of communications and connections. And on top of that, the Nakshatra where this occurs, Muragashira is, is the star of searching. So it deals with always searching to find our answers. There's a new beginning into these new findings with this new moon here. And I want to say that it will deal with the media, it will deal with how we communicate. It deals with everything and how we're connected to others in the world. This is what this Nakshatra and this new moon is all about. And we all need to feel connected. But there's also a new learning, a new type of learning. People are interested in finding new ways to expand our consciousness, our mind, our intelligence. And there's going to be all sorts of new technologies coming about this month. By the fact that the Rahu Jupiter that we've been talking about, they've been in connection, conjunction, and they're coming together with Uranus. This is like big explosive events that are going to lead us to new discoveries and breakthroughs in the world. This is a positive tone. And I feel like there's going to be new learning and teachers and a new way of learning. Spirituality is going to be a quest that's going to be more and more popular. And I do mean spirituality, not religion. What is the difference? I always tell my students, spirituality is where we find that essence of the divine or God essence within ourselves. Whereas religion can be more or less where you're searching for it outside of yourself. And now I know that part of that is where, you know, different religions, they pray, you go within. But I'm talking spirituality. This is more of a divine connection.
By ourselves, within, not coming together, it's within. And that's what's going to be the future of where we're all headed. Looking more within for our spiritual truths. What connects us, what, what makes us feel secure, what makes us feel happy inside. And that is our divine connection to the spirit of oneness. That's what we're all going to be seeking more and more. It's going to start making sense now. During this time of this new Moon, we have Mars and Venus coming together in Cancer. They will be all of a sudden very tight in the sign of cancer, which is the sign of protection. And what we're looking at while those two planets are in Cancer, Mars and Venus relationships become important. How we relate, how we love, our passion, our drive, our ambition too with Mars. Coming together with Venus is a beautiful thing. Even though they're not in harmony together.
Still at the same time, remember this, Mars is passion and Venus is love. So we're looking for that love and passion. That's what we all want. That's what moves our soul, our destiny forward when we are in a place of love with passion and intensity. So.
Actually Murikashira, that Nakshatra, is ruled by Mars. So we're passionately seeking, seeking the spiritual truth. That's where I feel like this Nakshatra could go. But I want to say the Mars and Venus are very important. While they're together, Mars can represent conflict and Venus is peace. So we're trying to find our balance between war and peace essentially. And I think this is going to come together. We have to find a bridge, we have to find a way to connect these two. And this is what we're working on. And remember, I always say this is a monumental time historically because we have Rahu Jupiter coming together. They're in Aries, which is ruled by Mars. And then opposing that, we have Ketu in Libra, ruled by Venus. This is a time of incredible shifts. Karmically, the world is changing. It's a great time to be alive. Now, Mercury, which is the planet that rules Gemini, so while the sun and Moon are in Gemini, a new Moon is when the sun and Moon come together. Mercury is really important. And Mercury being in Taurus represents we're finding our way to find peace, to find happiness, to find connection to others, to find love and purpose in life. This is what this new moon is going to start. And I know that during this time we have really been talking things out and finding ways to bring harmony and peace instead of the polarization that has been so prominent and dominant in the world over the course of the past two to three years. So we're going to get serious about things. Because really around this time, June 18th of the new moon, Saturn is retrograde.
It turns retrograde on June 17th. So we have the stationary Saturn, which Saturn brings focus, discipline and structure. And that will be what we're focusing in on for the whole next phase till we have another new moon in July. The focus and what we're really looking for are ways to communicate where we're going to feel like we're bringing ourselves together to find peace.
And remember, with this new moon in Murugashira, we're searching for something. What are we searching for? What makes us feel whole and complete. Because right now we don't feel whole and complete. So they're searching for ways of completion that will come through our sense of security and that will come through our bringing together our sense of communication and how we need to feel a sense of protection and come together.
