Planets in Higher Degrees

Today I want to talk about planets being strengthened or weakened, depending on if they are very high and a siderical degree or very low in the siderical degree in a chart. So what I'm basically talking about is when you have planets at 29 or 28 degrees of a sign, this is considered old age. And it's like it's not at its full capacity or its greatest power when it is that late in a degree of a sign. But my take on this is quite different, because a planet that is at its highest satirical degree in your chart is going to be the Atma Karaka planet. In Jaimini astrology, the Atma Karka planet is the planet of who you are. It's like from other lifetimes what you have developed, what is your strongest point as to what you've come into this lifetime to be. So you are the planet that is at its highest sideerical degree, and that generally is a planet that will be around 28 or 29 degrees in your chart. So this becomes a very strong planet, Ahma Karaka. But then I've also made reference to the fact that when a planet is in a mutable sign and it's in the last 3 degrees, 20 minutes of a sign, what signs are mutable signs? That's going to be Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces. If you have a planet that is in the last 3 degrees, 20 minutes of these mutable signs, then guess what? It's Virgo Tema in the Navamsha chart. Virgo Tema planets are that when a planet is in one sign in your birth chart and it stays in the same sign in the Navamsha, that planet becomes extraordinarily strong. It becomes like it is in its own sign. It has strength. Even though you can't see it in the birth chart. You've got to know that it's Virgotama in the Navamsha chart. So a planet that's Virgotama is hardly weak. This represents that this planet is extraordinarily strong. And here we are a planet in its last degrees, representing that it is weakened. But this is not really the case. Now let's talk about planets that are 0 degrees, 0 or 1 degree at being weak, because it hasn't gotten its footing yet in the sign. So they say it's weak. But let me remind you, if you have a planet that is between 0 and 3 degrees 20 minutes of a cardinal sign. This is going to be Virgotima. It's going to be Virgoma in the navamsa. So what are the cardinal signs? We have Aries, Cancer, Libra, and last but not least, Capricorn. So those are the four cardinal signs. And if you have a planet that is 0 to 3 degrees, 20 minutes in your birth chart, look in your navamsa, it's Virgotama, which is a strong indication of a very, very powerful planet. So that is my take on it. It cannot be weakened by being at early degrees. But what is a planet that's at its early degrees? It's going to act like a child. It's very rambunctious, it's very enlivened, it loves life. That's what I find Planets in early degrees are all about. They're excitable, they're fresh, they're new, new beginnings. But they can sometimes be rather immature. So watch for that. Planets in their late degrees have a great deal of wisdom and knowledge and this is the elders. But the younger planets are fresh, new and vivacious, full of life, but very immature. One more thing I might add. If you have a planet that is in its last degrees of water, last few degrees of water, and sometimes it is said the first degrees of fire, very early, very late of water or fire, and the water signs being Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces, and the fire signs being Leo, Aries and Sagittarius. If you have planets very late or very early, they're called Gandanta. Gandanta means literally drowning. And people with these planets can sometimes literally have experiences where they have drowned early and. And were revived early in life, almost drowned. But it's not always the case. And sometimes this can involve people that have experiences where they just feel like they're drowning in life. They can't get a grasp on things, they can't get control. So that's my take on planets that are very late or very early in the signs. They're very significant and they represent something very powerful and profound and meaningful in your chart.
