This is a spoken YouTube lecture by astrologer Joni Patry describing how natal Jupiter manifests when placed in each of the 12 houses in Vedic astrology. The video explains Jupiter's general qualities (growth, abundance, spirituality, expansion), gives house-by-house interpretations (effects on health, wealth, relationships, career, creativity, travel, psychic ability), and includes promotional mentions of Patry's University of Vedic Astrology, website (GalacticCenter.org), and related products (textbook, jewelry). The tone is instructional, personal, and promotional.

Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about Jupiter as it's placed in all 12 houses, what that could mean for you. So. So if you don't have your Vedic chart and you want to know what house Jupiter is in, please go to my website, which is GalacticCenter.org and pull up the free chart calculator to see where your natal Jupiter is in your birth chart. So Jupiter is the planet that deals with growth, abundance, opportunities. It's the great natural benefic. And we always look for Jupiter in chart because Jupiter is going to give money, it's going to give wealth, it's going to give bring success. It expands wherever it is. So whatever house it's in, it's going to bring good things too. Generally as a whole I know that there's some ascendants such as Taurus, that Jupiter is going to bring more difficult things than most. But overall, Jupiter is Jupiter. And Jupiter is always about learning information, travel, about philosophy, spirituality. These are all the Jupiterian things that can deal with teachers. And in Vedic astrology it's called guru. So what is that? That is the teacher, the wise one, the spiritual one. So that's what Jupiter basically can portray. And just remember this, it expands and it gives more. If it's conjunct other planets, it will give more of something to that planet. It's bigger than life. And sometimes Jupiter can even expand things too much, like your waistline. So this is the power of Jupiter and Jupiter. Jupiter makes us laugh. Jupiter gives us a sense of optimism and freedom. Don't forget Jupiter is freedom. So let's place Jupiter through all of the houses. And before I go there, I want to inform everyone that I'm starting the University of Vedic Astrology. A brand new beginning of new students for the first six semester this January of 2021. So don't miss out. If you've been wanting to learn Vedic astrology this new year, now's the time. And this is my textbook for the university. You can purchase this. This is also Eastern astrology for Western minds. All on Amazon. Check it out. This, this will further your studies. But looking at Jupiter in the first house, as I said, sometimes Jupiter in the first house, first house is you. It's your physical constitution and body. Jupiter here can make you, you know, could not always. I've seen some really thin people with Jupiter in the first house. It's amazing, but sometimes it expands the physical body so you hold on to weight, you hold on to water retention, those type of things. But aside from that, Jupiter being in the first house makes one very optimistic, very fun to be around. Because you're always looking at the bright side of life. You always look at the glass of water as being half full, not half empty. And there's just a joy and exuberance around life and who you are and confidence. Such a great deal of confidence. When you have Jupiter in the first house, you're happy and you're free. You're free of troubles and worries. This is Jupiter primarily talking about. Only Jupiter's there in the first house. Now Jupiter in the second house. Everybody wants Jupiter in the second house. This means you've got money, or money will come at some point in your life. It's expansion around your finances can also denote something some happy experiences. Growing up as a child, it gave you a sense of who you are, your confidence, your ability to earn, your sense of self worth is very high. With Jupiter being in the second house.
Just be careful you don't overdo things at times, especially when it comes to eating. With Jupiter in the second house, it does deal with what we eat. Jupiter in the third house, love of travel, love of learning, and an entertainer for the most part, but incredible. Usually good skills with communication. So therefore writing skills are usually very good or even an aptitude with Jupiter in the third and the second to learn a language. Now, Jupiter in the third house can many times mean you're the youngest one. And if that's not the case, then that can also mean that you have siblings that you will have a good relationship with. I actually have Jupiter in my third house. And when you consider what I do for a living, I write, I teach, I travel, and I used to be a flight attendant with Jupiter in the third house. And I'm the youngest, one of three girls. I'm the youngest, so that's all. Jupiter in the third house and Jupiter in the third house means that there's just so much exuberance towards anything to do with the arts too. Don't forget the third house. The arts and creativity and Yes, I was a studio art major for a while in college before I shifted to psychology, eventually astrology, but they didn't have that in the university.
And then Jupiter in the third house. Oh, I used to dance. I used to be in a ballet company when I was in high school. School. So that's all the proponents of what Jupiter can do in the third house. And let's go to the fourth house. Jupiter being in the fourth house. This can mean a love of real estate. The home you live in is very spacious and big or either you have a lot of land around you, there's a connection to your mother, there's a connection to family. You love family, you love your home. You want to, you know you're happy when you're home. That's when you feel the safest and the happiest and you just have a sense of well being with family and.
Real estate and property. You may even go into the business of real estate and property with Jupiter being in the fourth house. Real estate agent or even decorating or renovating homes. Jupiter in the fifth house. Remember the fifth house is children. Jupiter represents children. Sometimes Jupiter in the fifth house. It's the karika in the house that it represents. It could cause some issues or problems sometimes getting pregnant. But I've known many people with Jupiter in the fifth house and they have many children and very happy children. They are highly creative, inventive and they're entrepreneurs. They want to start their own businesses with Jupiter in the fifth house. And they're very fortunate with investing in investments with Jupiter being in the fifth house and extraordinarily bright minded. They just have a love of learning and can learn very quickly, have a sharp intelligence, natural intelligence, common sense, just they get it, they get it and they get it quickly. That's Jupiter in the fifth house. Now Jupiter in the sixth house would denote a healthy strong body, usually strength with the physical constant constitution. But sometimes I've seen Jupiter, especially if it rules the 12th house or the 8th house, it can bring health issues especially with the digestive tract or with guess what? Jupiter rules. The liver can have liver disease and problems. If Jupiter is a malefic for the chart in terms of what houses it rules. So Jupiter also being in the sixth house, you get along well with your co workers and employees and you have a love of animals and pets and you may even go into a field of health and healing or service. You want to really help other people. Jupiter being in the seventh house. This can be more than one marriage sometimes or that you have A very close connection with your marriage partner. And it's not always more than one marriage. It can definitely mean a closeness in marriage. And actually my husband has Jupiter in the seventh house, and we met in high school and it's our only marriage. So. But Jupiter being also in the seventh house can represent.
Just this, relationships being, going deep. And relationships, they give a sense of freedom to each other where there's no, you know, hoarding or constantly having to know where the other person is.
Jupiter in the 8th House. This is a deep interest in investigation and detective work and psychology. You love psychology. Learning more about why and how people do what they do. Jupiter, also in the eighth house, can give incredible psychic ability, intuition, but it gives us really need to dig deep and find the answers to things scientifically as well. So that's Jupiter in the eighth house. Let's talk about Jupiter in the ninth house. The ninth house, dealing with the father. There's usually a good connection with the father and a love of travel, philosophy, teaching, all of the above. And actually Jupiter in the ninth house will travel far and wide, foreign places, love it, and.
Possibly even become a professor or be very involved in your spirituality and belief systems, be very, very strong in what you believe in religion or spirituality, and always been what you really love and what you're a part of. Extremely spiritual. Jupiter being in the 10th House, opportunities with work and career, having your own business, expansion and success in your career in business. And possibly if you do work for other people, you have a nice, good boss that you honor and respect, because that's what Jupiter is all about.
So if Jupiter is in the 11th house, you have many friends, many associates and connections, and you probably know some very influential and powerful people. If you have an older sibling, you could be very close to them, or it may even mean that you're the oldest. If you have a very strong Jupiter in the 11th House, and the mother's depth, personality and psychology goes deep as well, because the 11th house is the 8th from the 4th.
If Jupiter is in the 12th house, you're extraordinarily psychic, intuitive and connected to many people and things from the past. You always hold.
Reverence for people, your old friends and old associates from the past. And people come into your life from the past unexpectedly, all the time. It's also foreign lands and countries, and you will travel far and wide, many countries. When Jupiter is in the 12th house. Jupiter in the 12th house also means you're incredibly generous to a T, always giving, and usually there's a love of animals.
And doing wonderful things for charitable organizations that you can help out because you're always.
In the line of giving and generosity and helping people. So with that, that covers all 12 of the houses that Jupiter can be in in your birth chart. I'm sure that you've gained some type of insight and into yourself and into your friends by knowing what house natal Jupiter's in. So with that, I'd like to close.
