Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Today I'd like to talk about Jupiter Guru, which is the great perceptor. Jupiter represents philosophy teachers of a high nature because it represents spirituality and likewise at the same time it is relative to luck and fortune. And Jupiter is this power of expansion. Anything that Jupiter aspects or wherever it is, it will expand things. So it represents expansion and also freedom. Jupiter will give us the freedom that we need. And it is also called the Great Protector. So it's almost like it represents the protection of God. Because Jupiter is the great source of luck, of happiness. And Jupiter is fun. Jupiter because of its jovial qualities, beautiful people have fun when Jupiter is aspecting certain planets and they have a great deal of optimism and confidence when Jupiter aspects other planets. But because it is expansion, sometimes it can deal with weight gain and overly expanded things such as Jupiter rules the liver. And sometimes if it's not placed well on the chart, it can represent over expansion in terms of excess in dealing with problems with the liver. So that's what Jupiter is prone to, extremes, excesses. It's big, but it's jovial and it's spiritual. So it can deal with spiritual teachers. That's, you know, the name is guru, the spiritual teacher. And it can sometimes have reference to the father because the father in terms of being a spiritual teacher, so it rules religion and it deals with opinions and how we believe. It also deals with higher education because it deals with professors and teachers, philosophers and long distance travels. So it deals with this long distance. It's big. Everything about Jupiter is big. And that's what you're going to have to remember with it. Jupiter in terms of what planets it could be next to can really have a variation because Jupiter with Rahu can sometimes be over the top too expanded and can cause some major problems. But for the most part it can bring in wealth when it is with Rahu, but it can cause problems for children because Jupiter is the Karaka indicator of children. A chart. And Jupiter's aspect or Rahu's aspect to Jupiter can cause issues or problems with children, but it will bring wealth and money. So it's sort of like this double edged sword. Jupiter with the sun will be very optimistic, but too close to the sun, it can be burnt somewhat combust Jupiter with Venus. Remember these two planets are enemies to each other and it causes some type of contention. There will be some good that comes out of it. Jupiter being with Mercury, that's someone who travels a lot. They're both indicators for travel short and long. And it will represent an optimistic type attitude in life.
Jupiter's day of the week is Thursday and its gemstone is a yellow sapphire. So to wear yellow or gold on a Thursday is how you would pay homage to Jupiter. And it's sign of rulership. Jupiter rules Sagittarius and Pisces, so it rules those two signs. So if Jupiter's in those signs, it's very strong and great. Its sign of exaltation is cancer. And I would imagine with Jupiter and Cancer, this would expand and give happiness to the family, to a sense of security, because that's what cancer is about. But its sign of debilitation is Capricorn. Now people with Jupiter in Capricorn can do very well in business matters. But I believe the reason why it's debilitated in Capricorn, some people may be over consumed with the materialistic world and not care about the spiritual side of life. This is a generality, it's not always true, but this can be the cause and reason why Jupiter is weak, the sign of Capricorn. So Jupiter, if it's in the first house, can sometimes expand the body, make it big.
Sometimes it's sort of like you retain water. It's like problems with weight, but very optimistic and sometimes very opinionated. Jupiter in, but lucky, I gotta say. Jupiter in the first is just luck. You always land on your feet. Jupiter in the second could of course bring money and good experiences in early childhood. In the third house, maybe you are the youngest or you have many brothers or sisters. Jupiter in the fourth house, a very jovial, protective mother. Jupiter in the fifth house, remember it is the karaka for the fifth house. And sometimes this can.
Have less children than you would think. But that's not always true because Jupiter in the fifth can make one very, very creative. Jupiter in the sixth house can make one strong and healthy. But sometimes if it's over the top, too powerful, it can deal with excess and problems in health and healing. Jupiter rules the liver, so, so this could be over extreme with the liver if Jupiter is not placed well and Jupiter in the seventh house could make a well intentioned partner. Or they could be a teacher, philosopher, and sometimes more than one partner. Jupiter in the 8th House can bring inheritances and wealth through other people. Jupiter in the ninth house could be a father, that is spiritual, teacher, traveler. Jupiter in the tenth house can bring great opportunities in work and career and wealth through the purpose and career in life. Jupiter in the 11th, many friends and associates. Jupiter in the 12th.
When Jupiter's in the 12th because Jupiter represents generosity and giving. People with displacement are extremely generous and give to causes and they believe in charities and organizations. So Jupiter, the Great Benefit Guru I want you to always remember deals with freedom, opportunities, fun loving and optimism.
