Hello, my friends, John Peterson from the Arlington Institute here. And thank you for joining us on a sun snowy morning here in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, just down the road from Baltimore. And from Washington.
We'Re doing a postscript interview today. And our guest is Joni Petrie. Hi, Joanie, how are you?
Hi, John. Thank you for having me.
Well, it's great to have you, Joni. You're here in town because you're our guest at transition talks tomorrow. And we've got a couple hundred people almost that are all looking forward to what you have to say. But what we thought we'd do here today is try to just talk a little bit kind of informally about how you work and what astrology is all about. I mean, you're internationally known as an astrologer and you have been very accurate at the kinds of predictions that you've produced. That's how we first got familiar with you, because starting back before Donald Trump of 2015 or something like that, you were starting to see that Trump was going to get elected.
Quite differently than anybody else who was kind of following the polling at the time. And so it's been very interesting to follow you as you go here. So talk to me a little bit about kind of astrology in general. How does that work?
Okay, well, astrology, as we all know, is it's the patterns of the planets in the heavens and as they relate to each other, they really do cause events globally. And I've studied this for 40 years. And what I've noticed is, well, first of all, everyone wants to know the future. That's why I got into astrology. And you can definitely forecast where the trends are going to go with astrology. But, but most of all, when I'm looking at an individual's chart, I always chart where the planets are and where they're continuing to move in relationship to their birth chart for when they were born. Because that is like your blueprint of your life, the birth chart. But it's where the planets continue to move relative to that that we can make our predictions.
Yeah, well, astrology was, as I understand it, kind of like the first science, wasn't it?
I mean, I think so, yeah.
I mean, it was before astronomy for sure, and it was before any kind of medicine as we understand it. And.
It continues to be followed and studied because it works right at some level. And.
You know, I'm an electrical engineer. And so when I first got into this and began to think about.
Didn'T quite make sense to me. I mean, I could see on One level that it really worked and that there was some correlation and compatibility with what you see around you. But it was strange. And then I ran into this book. I listened to Robert Becker. Robert Becker is a rather famous guy who wrote this book, Body Electric, which is kind of the basis for a lot of energy medicines and energy therapies. And what Robert Becker said one day at a scientific conference that I was at, he said that everything is electric. The whole universe is electric, and so the planets are electric. And as they relate to the Earth and so on, and as they move, then what it effectively does is change the configuration, the local configuration.
On a constant basis, because all of these variables are all moving. And so for the first time, I kind of understood the basic kind of notion that there was this, how this interaction kind of worked, and that when somebody's born, that it effectively builds a box that says, you operate within this kind of signature. Everybody's got a different box. Does that make sense to you?
Well, I find it kind of funny that you use the term box because. Because most astrologers have the wheel, but I actually use the box because that's Vedic astrology. And let me just say I started with Western astrology.
Okay, tell us the difference.
So I was a western astrologer for 20 years. And basically, when you're looking at the angles of the planets, it works. It's great. But to really go deep, to look at the soul of a person, Vedic astrology is far deeper because it's so mathematical.
You would love this. India, right?
Yes, exactly. Because the most ancient representation of astrology that we find is in the Vedas. So we pretty much named it Vedic astrology. And in the Vedas, it talks about something called the nakshatras. And there's 27 of these nakshatras. What it does is it takes the heavens and. And divides it up into 27 portions. And each of these portions are relative to the meanings of the fixed stars that are in there. And I love that because it takes into account the stars, not only the planets. Because when you're talking about a horoscope and, you know a planet's in a particular sign, well, it's also in an Akshatra that the meanings of those stars in that portion are what flavor it. And when I think about the stars, I think about something that's eternal and something that's lasting. Actually, Nakshatra means that which never decays. And Vedic astrology is actually.
Exact, according to astronomy. Did you know that Western astrology is off by almost a Full sign. And here's another thing that convinced me. Did you. Did you know that Edgar Cayce in one of his trance medium sessions said that Western astrology was off by almost a full sign? And that takes into account the true astronomical placements of where the planets are relative to the signs. And that's Vedic astrology. So when we go out with our phones and we look up at the night sky, that tells us where the planets are according to the signs. It's the placements that I use. And Vedic astrology, which we actually call it sidereal astrology. And Western astrology is tropical. Tropical is based on the seasons and the sun, whereas sidereal astrology is based on the stars. Sidereal means star. So I started studying Vedic astrology. And the profound realization of actually how mathematical it was is what really convinced me. When one, we look at all these divisional charts and yes, we can look back at somebody's past lives with these divisional charts. And another thing that convinced me is twins. When you have a twin that's born minutes apart, their charts are the same. Why are their lives so different? And what I discovered is these divisional charts, you can have a different divisional chart by a half of a minute, and that's what makes their life so different. So there's all these charts within charts, and we are so complex. We are not just what you see, this flat, there's all these different layers of our lives and how you can even see in a chart every person in your life, your children, your spouse, your parents, it's all there. And you can look at the chart from different angles in terms of these different people in your life. And these charts really do predict the future. As a matter of fact, I even use astrology for the stock market because there's certain charts that we can look at for their first trade ever on the stock market. So I use astrology for literally everything that you need to know what's going to be going well.
You were telling me about the Super Bowl.
Oh, I forgot about that too. Well, my husband, who, you know, Daniel, is so into sports and I have three sons, so sports is all over our house, even though I could care less, to be honest. But so right before super bowl, he comes to me with the charts of the two quarterbacks and he says, tell me who's going to win. I looked at, I said, tom Brady. No, no doubt. He has an aspect which, for those of you that know astrology, Jupiter was exactly opposed to sun to the degree this only happens once every 12 years, this is rare. And that Is like always going to depict a win. And the other quarterback had nothing like that. I just said, hands down, he's going to win. And he wasn't even the one that was favored. Yeah, yeah. So, I mean, not that I want to use astrology for this.
I won a lot of money.
Well, he didn't, because I'm not too big on Gary. But that's okay. It's really fun to see how astrology really works. It does.
So what does it say in big general terms about this period of time? I mean, what is it that makes this so fluid?
Okay, well, this is the way that I really look at how the future is going to go in terms of the big picture. And that's what I'm going to be talking about tomorrow is we look at where the outer planets are because they represent generations and they represent the mass consciousness. And what's amazing is these outer planets, they stay in a sign for a long time because they move so slow. Right. Pluto, Uranus, and Neptune. And they really do depict the collective unconsciousness of the world. So as they move into different signs, as they make different angles to the other outer planets, they create the big changes that we see happening globally over a period of 20 years, possibly or seven years. Uranus stays in a sign for seven years, Neptune for about 12 or 13, and Pluto stays in a sign. Right now, it's about 13 years. But because of its elliptical orbit, it can stay in a sign for 30 years. At some time. This really does form generations of people.
So what are the general characteristics of the outer. That the outer planets kind of manifest? Because what you're saying is that these are slow, long period kind of cycles. And then as you move in toward the sun, then you get a lot more daily activity.
What's going on on a daily basis, or as I call it, the triggers of events. Because I always look at from year to year, the eclipses, and I say eclipses. I mean, the ancients always talked about the eclipses. Yes, because the eclipses are when you just. The sun and the moon come together. A solar eclipse is when the sun and the moon are conjunct. A lunar eclipse is when you have a full moon when they're opposed. But when they come into the orbit around the nodes. And the nodes are. They're not a planet. They're actually these points in space where the Moon intersects the ecliptic. The ecliptic is the parent path of the sun. So where the moon hits it going upwards, it's called the north node, where it hits it going downward. It's called the south node and we call them in Vedic astrology, the north node is Rahu and Ketu is the south node. But when they come together with the sun and the moon, realize that on Earth everything's about the sun and the moon because we have day, night, male, female and mother, father. It's all about that duality of the male, female, or the negative and positive forces, as you mentioned, with the electricity. So this is the poles. So when you get the sun and the moon coming together with those nodal axes, that's when events are formed. So there's two solar eclipses every year. I study those in terms of what each year is going to bring in relationship to what those outer planets are doing. Because those outer planets are everywhere.
What do they describe? What did the outer planets kind of describe?
So Uranus is all about change, unexpected changes, rate of change. And whenever those outer planets were discovered, that's what they brought into being on the planet. So Uranus rules electricity. It rules not only electricity, but the revolutionary change of using electronics. That was actually when the cotton gin was invented. So it created the whole revolution of machinery. That's what Uranus did. Neptune is spirituality, but it can also deal with illusion. And when Neptune was discovered, we came into photography. So photography came about at that time in silent movies. And Neptune is very important during this age that we're in right now because it's going to bring the illusion to the light. The things that we thought were real, we're going to find out are not real. And that's where I always talk about the deception of, of what's been going on globally throughout the world. What's been kept from us. So Pluto is massive change. When Pluto was discovered, brought in atomic energy. This was in the 30s, World War II plus it dealt with all the dictatorship around the world. That's when even the mafias were big time, around the 30s. Then we had Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, all of that. So Pluto rules power. And Pluto just shifted signs, which is a huge big deal astrologically. Now I am talking about the sidereal zodiac, not tropical western. But I find this works. I can go back to every time Pluto shifted signs. Let me explain something else. Pluto was conjunct Uranus. Remember Uranus? That conjunction was when they come together in the same sign very close to one another. And actually I'm talking about longitude, not latitude. That's another whole thing. And since you're a scientist, that's why I'm explaining this.
I'm an engineer.
Okay, well You.
But I'm a navigator.
You understand what I'm saying? With the longitude, latitude. Because really, when we talk about a conjunction, it's not lined up in latitude, but it is longitude. But when they come together, remember what I said? Uranus is sudden, unexpected changes. It actually rules revolutions and rebelliousness, whereas Pluto is that dramatic, major explosive stuff, such as atomic energy, dealing with power. So throughout the whole 1960s, they were conjunct. Look at how there was a revolution and so much change went on. And that's so important.
And so it's coming back that way now.
Maybe it's not conjunct. No, that'll be a long, long time. But the fact that Pluto just shifted into Capricorn. Capricorn is one of what we call the cardinal axes. The cardinal signs are action.
Yeah. Now, the cardinal signs are related to the stars.
Yes. Right, yes.
And so that's kind of the fixed background of this whole thing. And then you get all of this fluctuation within this sector, which is our local time, kind of.
Right, yeah. Well, let me explain something else. Why Vedic astrology has different placements than Western astrology? Because it takes into account the movement of the stars. They move. Western astrology does not take slowly, but they do move. Yes, Very slowly. I'll explain. So with Western astrology, it's always the same. They look at Aries as the beginning of the zodiac, but it shifted. And the way that it shifts is through precession of the equinoxes and procession is slowly moving. In other words, the stars are slowly moving backwards. And the stars are pretty much what constitutes what signs we're talking about or not. But what I love about this is the Nakshatras always stay true to the stars. The Nakshatras are the stars. They are the stars. So we're smaller groupings of stars. They stay true to the stars. Because the way that I see it is a particular fixed star, such as Regulus. Regulus is the heart of the lion. Right. And it's always in Leo.
Leo. Right, the lion.
Well, Western astrologers think it's in Virgo now. And I'm like, that doesn't make any sense. This is the heart of the line. But going back to precession. So precession is the star groupings are moving, and for them to go through all 12 signs of the zodiac as it moves backwards, it'll take 26,000 years. But the fixed stars move one degree every 72 years. Remember, it's backwards in the zodiac. And when we talk about the Age of Aquarius coming. That's what this is all about.
What does that mean?
Okay, so remember that the western astrologers and the tropical system, nothing moves according to the stars. Okay, well, their fixed stars move, but they don't. The way that they're gauging it is not the way we gauge it. So if we think about how it's moving. So if they say the beginning of the zodiac is always zero aries, we say it's been moving. And at this point in time, our beginning reference point of the Zodiac, about 6 degrees of Pisces right now. So it's moved 2,000 years ago.
How much distance is that from what?
Okay, so each sign is 30 degrees. So if it came from 0 Aries and remember, it follows backwards. So we're going Aries 29 Pisces, 28 Pisces all the way down. To see, 2,000 years ago, the zodiacs lined up. Okay, that was the beginning. Both of them lined up. But because the stars are moving, it separates.
So how far off are they in time?
And we call this the Ionumptia, that the difference is 24 degrees, which is how much time. So about 2,000 years, it's moved. So in another 400 years, we'll be in the age of Aquarius. To give you an idea, because remember, each degree we got six, six degrees to go.
They got the song wrong.
They got the song wrong and the.
60S and everything and screwed it all up.
Yeah, but that, but you think about it.
I always, you know, it's real interesting. I've been asked to go speak to some high school schools about what astrology is, and they were actually Christian schools. So I always tell them, I say, you know, 2,000 years ago is when, you know, the beginning of the zodiac was right there and it shifted 29 degrees of Pisces. And I always ask them now what happened 2,000 years ago? And they're all, I said, aren't we in a Christian school? And they always say the birth of Christ. And you think about the age of Pisces began. And the age of Pisces is all about all the churches were built, all the religions. Think about the symbol for Pisces.
I don't know, what does it mean?
It's a fish.
A fish.
And when you think about the fish, the symbols for Christianity.
Yeah, right.
So my point is they you all of this interrelates. Did you know that the Vatican has more, has a bigger astrological archive of books than any place in the world? Yeah. So anyway, I think that's interesting they're not telling us. I know.
And Neptune is affiliated with Pisces too. So this is the time we can't see the truth until we reach the age of Aquarius, which is quite surprising.
So we got to wait 2000 years?
No, not at all.
How long do we have to wait?
I think it's coming out now and that's what I want.
Well, you told me it was 2000 years old. Off.
I know. No, but I'm saying Neptune is bringing in by its placements right now. Here's something very interesting. In the year of 2022 to 2023, Neptune's going to be in Pisces, which that when Neptune changes signs, this is going to change our awareness and the illusion. And there's so much that's being.
In what way? What do you think? I mean, what does that mean?
Well, it's coming out now. You and I both know we've been conversing. There's so much that's coming out. It's just people don't want to believe it because they're afraid of it.
So is there. I mean, if you conventionally kind of looked at this, you could look around and you'd say everything's coming unglued. All of these traditional legacy kind of systems and relationships are all collapsing or imploding or coming apart or blowing up or whatever kind of imagery that you want to use. And.
From a futurist point of view, what you would look at and say, well, then there's an emergence of a new world that is going to come out of the back end of that because it's going to reconfigure itself. I mean, is there anything in Vedic astrology that says it talks about the emergence of a new world?
Well, I think exactly. Neptune going into the new sign will be a new world. That's a whole new way of viewing aspects of religion and spirituality. That's what's really going to change when Neptune shifts.
Well, then what's that mean about the future religion?
Well, I mean, let me put it this way. If we find out, which I think we're going to find out a lot in the next couple of years, that there is alien life form, of course. What is that going to do to religion?
Well, it's going to do the same thing. It's not going to blow up religion the same way. It's going to mess with all kinds of history and science and on and on and on. I mean, it's not necessarily going to blow it up, but it's going to call it in the question. All of these things.
I know.
I think the whole disclosure business related to extraterrestrial life is. I can't think of anything else in big terms that could be as reconfiguring as massive in terms of changing who we are and who we think we are and how we understand. To say nothing about, like I say, the underlying science and things. Because, I mean, they've been around looking at this for a lot longer than we have. And so it's a kind of an amazing period of time.
It is.
Excuse me. No matter how you kind of look at it.
Well, I think the reason why we're here on the planet at this point in time is because this is the unveiling of the truth. It's coming. But I don't think most of the planet's ready for it.
Well, how do they get. I mean, when do you think they will be here? How does that work? You don't think they rise to the occasion? What happens?
You know, the way humans are, Their reality is what they believe, of course. And even though they have the facts, they still don't believe a certain way.
A lot of them. New York, Right. You're right about that.
That's what I'm seeing. But a lot of the world is going to start waking up. Yeah.
But the information is there for everybody.
Right.
And the question is, do you access it? Do you, Are you curious? Are you interested? Because it's about the evolution of humanity, of the species. And that means that you change from where you've been. I mean, and so you can't stay the way that you were. You have to start to become something different. And that means you think differently and so on. So you.
So, so there is a big change coming for all of us, conscious, wise, because the outer planets are shifting signs in the next. And remember I said the outer planets deal with the collective unconscious and it deals with our subconscious mind. And when they change signs, our subconscious mind starts to change.
So how wide or how narrow is that kind of transition period?
Okay, so what I'm going to be talking about tomorrow is that in around 2022, in 2023, Neptune changes. Yeah. Which will be a whole new spirituality that people will have the opportunity to look into because we're going to have more proof of things. Then Pluto just shifted signs, which Pluto shifted into the sign Capricorn, which is all about government. That's the big trans. And here's another thing about this big transformation. Pluto takes about 244 years to go through all 12 signs of the zodiac. And if you go back to 244 years ago, signing of the Constitution of the USA, and so that means the whole United States is going to go through a transformational change.
Well, I mentioned to you in passing, I think, yesterday about a gentleman that I follow rather closely, Martin Armstrong, who's an economist down in Florida, who has amazing kind of computer program that he's built, all based upon cyclical relationship, which of course is what this is astrology. Yeah. But in his particular case, he has been able, he says for the last 40 years that his program has, which by the way, has never been wrong.
Has predicted that by 2032 there will be no United States in the terms that we understand, there will be no European Union, that there will be a reconfiguration. And you're almost saying something like that.
Yeah, it's going to, it's going to change drastically. And here is the cusp of the beginning of it all. And you can see everyone's so confused and they don't know what to believe politically because we're not given all the truth right now. I mean, it's just really a bizarre what we see happening right now. People are so confused.
Well, we want to talk about that truth, but we're out of time right now. So we'll come back in the second segment and we'll do that.
All right. Thank you.
Thank you. So thanks for being with us. We always appreciate you coming to be with us. And we hope that you'll take a chance to check out transition talks.org where you'll find out what our other speakers are who come to Berkeley Springs here and you'll see all about Future Edition or newsletter and Postscript, this interview process program that we do. And there'll be a whole lot of things that you can capture there and about. But what we're all about is trying to anticipate how this big change happens and how you facilitate this transition to a new world. And so we thank you for being with us and we'll look forward to the next time.
Hi and welcome back. It's John Peterson from the Arlington Institute. And we've caught you here in Postscript interview where our guest is Joni Petrie, the noted internationally known Vedic astrologer. And what we've been talking about is some marvelous kind of things about the future that's coming up in this time of amazing kind of change and upheaval. So it's great to have you with us here in Berkeley Springs.
My pleasure.
So, I mean, so you got this. This is an amazing time in history. I mean, what is it in kind of astrological terms that characterizes or describes why this kind of decade or two is so extraordinary?
Well, here's one thing I always love to talk about because it is so accurate. When I talk about the eclipses, I'm talking about where Rahu and Ketu are relative to the sun and the moon. But really what I like to talk about is that these nodes of the moon take 18 and a half years to go through all 12 signs of the zodiac. And there's a particular portion in the heavens that every time they go into these portions, there's always a huge event that changes everything. And you may think, well, what is she talking about? Well, I charted that that portion of the zodiac would be activated. And when I talk about the portion of the Zodiac, I talk about the Nakshatras. Remember, those are those portions. There's 27 of them. And their meanings come from the stars that are in those portions. Okay, so I'm talking about there's a portion in Gemini and the opposite, because, remember, Rahu and Ketu, the nodal axis, are always exactly opposite. So as they go through all 12 signs, when they come to a certain point in the zodiac, they're going to create an event. So every 18 and a half years, they go into this Gemini, Sagittarius, and actually the Nakshatra is Ardra and Mula, Ardra's symbol is a teardrop, and Mula is the Nakshatra of destruction. So when am I talking about? Every 18 and a half years. And it just happened last February. I knew something was going to happen. February of 2020. 20 or no, 2019. Excuse me, when we. No, it was 2020. When everything happened. Yeah. And then going back 18 and a half years prior to that, we had nine, 11. Going back 18 and a half years ago from that we had the assassination of Kennedy.
Wow.
And going back 18 and a half years from that, we had the bombing of Hiroshima. Always there's this catastrophic event that changes the world.
Wow.
And gives us the opportunity to reset everything.
Well, it gives you the opportunity as a species to rise to the occasion and recefine yourself, reconstitute yourself so that you begin to operate at a different, increasingly different, you know, level. And so you see yourself and everything from a different kind of perspective.
Exactly.
Einsteinian. The old Einsteinian thing that says that you can't solve a problem from the same level that it was generated. And so you have to get to Another level. And these amazing kind of events in our lives and the threats, or the. You call them whatever you want, are essentially catalytic events.
Allow us the opportunity to see ourselves and find ourselves in a different kind of way.
Exactly. And here's another really interesting thing. As an astrologer, we always go back in historical times, such as we see a configuration happening what happened before, and we have to do tons of research. So there was a particular aspect that happened January of 2020 that I went back to. The last time there was the same exact configuration. It was the year of 1889. Yes. And during that time was the discovery of electromagnetic energy. Okay. So I knew there was something about energy and healing. And there was also a pandemic, I think. I can't remember if it was the Russian or the Asian flu, but it was another big pandemic during that year. But I thought that was real interesting that they discovered electromagnetic energy, which to me, and the aspect I'm talking about, for those that know a little astrology, was that Jupiter aligned with Ketu, the south node of the moon, in the sign of Sagittarius. That exact conjunction has not happened since 1889. And so I knew something was coming by what happened before. And what actually I think is going to come of this coronavirus and the whole pandemic is the discovery of a certain kind of healing with energy. I know it's coming from that.
Wow. So how long is the transition?
Do you have any ideas about what's at the end of the transition and what's in the. How long this transition?
Yes, because always we have the opportunity for growth. Always. And I don't think that things are always predestined because we have free will.
Yeah, right.
So I said to everyone, this whole pandemic is an opportunity to bring ourselves together because that's what really it's all about. I don't think it worked, though. I think it pretty much separated us more. And I have to tell you, John, I think there's another event coming because there has to be something to bring us together.
Well, you have to hit the threshold that reconfig it. I've always said that these big kind of threats to the system.
If they're not big enough, what you do is you go back to the way you used to do it before.
Yeah, that's a good.
And there is a threshold that you have to at least reach or. Or go over that.
Reconfigures the way people think and the way they understand things such that they see themselves different. There's another threshold up above that is so great that it collapses the whole system. And you don't want to go that high, but you need.
Kind of a force threat to the system enough that it kind of breaks, brings everybody to a stop and says, hey, we don't want to do that anymore.
Yeah, yeah. And so a lot of this for people that are aware and conscious, they can see what happened before in these different cyclic patterns and think outside the box to change your life and change yourself. Because the only thing we have control over is ourselves, right? And when we do change ourselves, it is a reflection out there. Because if we change ourselves, well, whatever within us will always be mirrored back to us. So people that have anger and resentments, guess what? Keeps coming to them. And they blame the outside world. Like, oh, no, you know, I'm not the reason. They are the reason.
So how long is this transition going to be? I mean, how long?
Okay, well, I think we're going to really start waking up When Neptune moves into Pisces, which actually comes April. The very first transit of it in there will be April of 2022. It's going to go back and forth. So we're going to go back and forth somewhat, but it's going to come together with Jupiter. And that's amazing. Jupiter expands everything it's next to, so it expands this opportunity for spiritual growth on the deepest level. But some people will be deluded because, remember I said Neptune can be illusions. And really Neptune is that picture of illusions. And what I always remind myself of when things get really crazy, it's all a dream. I know that sounds outrageous.
No, I agree. Or a play or whatever.
And that's Neptune. That's what it's all about. It's going to go into one of the most powerful signs, Pisces, because it's affiliated with Pisces. So it becomes stronger, this ability and opportunity for us to go more of a spiritual path and a realization of the truth. That's what we're going to have the opportunity. Remember, Neptune's going to be in this sign for about 13 years, maybe 14. So that's. It's like nothing happens right away.
This decade is kind of seminal in terms of.
So you're going to see there's a trend. People start to wake up, and slowly but surely over this course in time, they will become awakened. Things are going to change faster and more dramatically than we can imagine.
So when are the aliens going to show up?
You know, I think that this is going to happen when planet Uranus Comes together with Rahu and Jupiter. This will probably be 20, 23 that. I mean, they're here. I think we're gonna get a lot of information. But when it's really.
It solidifies and it becomes.
Yeah.
Wow.
Yeah. So I have a lot of dates and times for this.
It's two years, effectively, kind of two years, two and a half years from now.
Yeah.
Which is, like I said in the first segment, is kind of the biggest kind of event that you can.
Yeah. Because you see, Uranus is outer space. It even rules astrology, for that matter. So it rules everything to do with space time. And of course, the way we start traveling in space is going to change, but it's going to come together in a Nakshatra that represents breakthroughs, major breakthroughs.
So what does your brand of astrology say about climate change?
Yeah, there's going to be a lot of that going on.
Like what?
I think it's more. Here's what I think. I think it has a lot to do with the emotions of the people. They have an effect on the climate, of course, and there's so much anger and fear that's creating the climate changes. So we're having more earthquakes, we're having more tsunamis.
Some of it comes from changes on the sun. But I agree with you that we play.
Yeah. As a humankind, we.
If we go back to what I talked about in the last segment, about the fact that it's all electric, it's an electric world, the universe that we live in, then everything is electric. And that means your thoughts, your personality, it's all electrical configurations of one sort or another. And the way human beings then interface with the planet is an electrical relationship. And so as the what. As you know, you can make the argument that if we ever get to the place where we got love and peace and things like that, that climate is just going to be wonderful.
Exactly. You got it. That's exactly what I believe. So the planets affect human emotion as well, because in Vedic astrology, we call the planets Grahas, which means to take hold of us. So these energy and these patterns create emotion on the planet. But as I said before, we do have the opportunity to change ourselves, but many people are just going to be influenced and the planets take hold, and all of these cycles will represent the big climate changes, the big changes that are going to happen in the banking systems and every system of the world. See, each planet rules something, whether it's money, society, even your brothers and sisters. Every planet has its relationship in your life and the mass consciousness.
That'S a lot to take in.
So if you were to describe in general the next five years, how would.
You describe that.
The biggest change are going to happen than what we've seen before? And our movement to new technologies is going to change our perception of the world. Technology is going to change dramatically. You think we're technologically advanced right now? Wait and see where we're going in the next five years. And I also believe that it's going to have an effect on how we heal the body. Remember I said about the electromagnetic energy? We're going to know how to work better with energy.
And that's huge. So, yeah, I mean, and governments all have to change.
Tell me about it.
Because, yeah, there are. I mean, it's on the old way of operating.
Tell me how it's going to change. What's going to happen.
There's going to be, first of all, a realization of the corruption that's been going on worldwide. It's been massive.
I know.
And we're going to start seeing who's really in control of all of this.
Is there any kind of notion about how people govern themselves at the back end of this whole transition? Is there any indications from.
Well, I think first of all there's. There's the confusion. And I think anytime there's a big change. Well, I know there's always confusion because people don't know how to operate in this big change of awareness. First I thought this way, and all of a sudden now I'm being taught everything I knew before was wrong. There's confusion in that. People are scared. And then I see the fear and the fear controls the planet. But we have to understand, really, all of us have that divine essence within us. And it's hard to imagine and it's hard to focus in on this when there's so much fear and anger out there. But the only way is loved to go within and to practice that, because that's how we're going to heal the planet.
But for the most part, it's going to blow up. I don't mean literally, but emotionally.
Reconfigures a better word.
So why isn't the sun an active element in all of this?
It is. Why do you say it's not?
Because you haven't talked about the sun. You talk about planets and star stars, but not.
The sun is one of the planets and stars that we use. As a matter of fact, the sun is you. It's your life force. It's your atma, as we call it. And that represents your soul, your spirit, that's your son. In your chart, the moon is your emotional body.
Change.
No, that's who you are. But of course everything changes. Nothing's fixed. But I think we're actually rediscovering who we really are by looking at our planets. When you see where they are, this is the potential because there's always a negative and a positive. So you have the opportunity to come from the positive, higher level of awareness of these planetary energies or the lower. And we have a choice all the time. And each planet represents something in your life very specifically.
Is there enough granularity in Vedic astrology to be able to say that at nighttime things are different than daytime because the sun is in a different position?
Yeah, absolutely. As a matter of fact, sometimes we look at charts in terms of a nighttime chart compared to a daytime chart because of that in male and female, all of that is relative to nighttime, daytime, sun, moon, but they're the most important things.
So what are the characteristics of the inner planets?
Okay, so the sun is your spirit, your life force. The moon is your emotional body.
And that's even though it may not be real.
Well, it's your mind, actually. Moon translates to manas, the mind. And so when we look at the moon, you can see whether someone's mind is sometimes unbalanced or sometimes not. Right. So that's the moon, but it's always our emotional body. Okay. And that's, that's a big deal. This can make us ill. Remember a lot of diseases, very much emotional. And so the sun and the moon, even their aspect at your time of birth, whether they, you were born under a new moon, a full moon, all of that is really important.
Oh really?
And the moon is actually the most important planet in a Vedic chart. We base so much. Okay, I know. And neither is the sun. But then Mercury is our intelligence, how we communicate. And it deals with.
Oh, that should change quickly. Often it does.
It does.
How does that work?
And you know, when we talk about Mercury retrograde. Well, I know, but everything goes haywire.
Well, I know, but why is that intelligence? Why does it.
Because it's how we connect. Think about the way that we connect.
Is through the connectiveness of how.
So the way we. It's through speech, through writing, through all forms of media. And another way we connect is through travel, the Internet, everything that's all mercurial and you know, every form of. And think about it, all of us have a cell phone. So important to communicate and connect to others. And then Venus is Love. Venus is love and beauty and it deals with all of the arts so it covers all of that aspect, marriage. Whereas Mars energy. And I call Mars the trigger because it triggers everything going on in the world and in our own charts. But Mars actually in Vedic astrology can be brothers and sisters and you know, it's that competitive edge, it deals with Mars.
What's happening to Mars in the next five years?
Oh my gosh, Mars is always the trigger that makes everything happen. As a matter of fact, you're going to see some major events happening. I'm going to talk about that tomorrow, tomorrow in detail. But when Mars goes into Taurus, which will be February 22nd through April 13th, it's going to be on next year.
This year, February 22nd.
Yeah, we're in February right now.
Oh, right. We haven't gotten anywhere.
You wait and see. Yeah, we're not there yet. You wait and see how things are going to explode because Mars is going to line up with Rahu, the north node of the moon, which is action packed. So Mars is action energy, but it also rules anger and war and all of these things. So that's important. And then Saturn and Jupiter, we call the social planets, they deal with the media. They deal with not the media. I mean they deal with how we interrelate financially, the financial markets and that's the social part of it. So Jupiter is expansion while Saturn's contraction. And they've been together.
Does that mean.
They negate each other?
No, in Vedic astrology they empower each other, which is, you'd think they negate each other. I would think that too. And I actually thought that before with Western astrology. But when they come together.
They empower each other. And so I predicted last year, I said we're going to see the stock market rally and be in an all time high because they rule the economy and they're together. I went back to the last time they were together in Capricorn and the economy was fantastic. It was 1961, the last time that they were together in Capricorn. But there were some other things that happened in 1961. That was when President Kennedy came into office. And I think there's going to be some similarities to come concerning that.
So what happens in the United States States for the next four years?
Lots of change. Lots and lots of change. I actually think we're under the precursor of war. Things are, and it may not be war as we used to see it, but there is definitely war going on.
Yeah, conflict probably economic and.
Absolutely.
And cyber and so on, rather than kinetic bombs and such.
Yeah.
So what, what do you think is most important for.
Anyone? All of. All of the rest of us and anyone watching this video. What for? How do you prepare for and deal with all of this?
That's what's so great about astrology. It gives you the ability to prepare. And I, and I often told everyone, right before this virus hit In February of 2020, I prepared and I warned everyone. I said, there's going to be an event that will change the world forever. And I tell them too, I said, and I hope in the next 18 and a half years, they'll remember that I may not be here, who knows? But I hope that they'll remember to prepare for something catastrophic that will change our lives. But it's always an opportunity for growth. We have to know that when things get difficult, that's the opportunity. That's when it's the best time to grow. As a matter of fact, with this lockdown, I wrote three books. I mean.
What is it good for? You know, and look at it individually. We all have different charts, and there's certain things that it's good for for all of us during certain times. And we just have to prepare and know what it's good for and how we can better ourselves because hardship gives us opportunities for growth.
Right. You know, there's a lot of kind of esoteric channel, you know, a whole bunch of what I call unconventional knowledge and information that suggests that humans came from.
Originally or were seated here or influenced by the Pleiades and, you know, some people, there's groups from the Orion area and from Sirius and so on. Does astrology say anything about any of those things?
Well, I think just the fact that we're going to have more awareness about their existence here. But the way that I look at it, if you live on another planet, your whole makeup may be different because you may have two moons, which would mean something different. Their solar system is different.
Yeah.
And I was telling you before, I love this concept that astrology, as we have our solar system, we also have our solar system within us because those chakras are relative to the different planets in our body. And it's lined up the same that our solar system is such as the root chakra is Saturn. The reproductive is Jupiter. The solar plexus is Mars. Venus is the heart, which is love. Mercury is the throat chakra, which deals with communications. And we have the sun and the moon, and then the outer planets are the collective. So I think it's so beautiful to consider that. That's how it works.
So what's new? Quickly. We only got about a minute to go. But how. What's a new human look like that comes out of this whole process?
Well, every. You mean like being born today in the next generations?
Well, it's that, too. But those of us who are here now need to adjust and adapt.
Yes, we have to adjust and adapt.
And what does that mean to you?
Well, through the awareness of what your chart is telling you, it always boils back to the same thing. It's spiritual growth. That's why we're all here. So with reminders, what does that mean to you? What does it mean to me? To become aware of who we really are. We're all one. We're all connected. We came here to heal each other through the power of love. I know that sounds out there, but it is really a reality.
It is Valentine's Day, so I love that.
Good point. But it is really about that. And every time I remind myself of these things, the fear and the anger go away. And that's what we have to contend with now. That's our opportunity for growth right now, to heal the anger and fear that's prevalent in our society and world.
That's great. That's a perfect way to end this delightful conversation. Thank you so much for being with us and thank you for being with us. It's fun to have you all with us today, participate in these delightful kind of conversations. And they happen on an episodic basis here at Postscript and at the Arlington Institute. And we hope that you'll take a look at our website, arlingtoninstitute.org or transitiontalks.org and you can get complete information about the upcoming series of speakers that we have coming out here to Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. So thank you so much, and we'll see you the next time.
