In this solo YouTube presentation, Joni Patry explains the astrological significance of Rahu (the Moon's north node) and its current transit through the Dhanishta nakshatra. She begins by defining Rahu and Ketu as points where the Moon meets the ecliptic, linking Rahu to future destiny and Ketu to past karma. Patry then introduces nakshatras as 27 lunar mansions, focusing on Dhanishta—located from 23°20' Capricorn to 16°40' Aquarius, ruled by Mars, governed by the Vasus deity, and symbolized by a drum or flute that represents rhythm and the heartbeat of the universe. She interprets Rahu’s presence in Dhanishta as a call to discover one’s inner timing and intuition, emphasizing the need to align with personal rhythm for health, happiness, and balance. Patry outlines broader societal effects she associates with this transit: increased seismic activity (citing recent earthquakes), challenges in marriage and relationships, and a notable shift in real‑estate markets favoring buyers. She notes the upcoming sign shift around November 25, when Rahu will move from Aquarius into Capricorn and Ketu into Cancer. Throughout, she encourages listeners to act on intuitive urges, promises personal transformation, and promotes her resources—her book World Predictions 2024‑2042, her websites galacticcenter.org and universityofvedicastrology.com, and a daily planner app at galacticplanner.com.

Hi, I'm Joni Patry, and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about where Rahu is, and we all want to know about Rahu and Ketu because they really are our destiny. They really are the turn of events of where things are headed and represent also where we've been in our past. So Rahu is the North Node of the Moon and Ketu is the South Node of the Moon, and astronomically they are points in space where the Moon simply hits the ecliptic, which is the path of the Sun around the Earth. And I know we go around the sun, but this is just the path from geocentric Earth-based vision. So when the Moon hits the ecliptic going upward, it's Rahu, which is our future, brings us into this world, into this life. And exactly opposite, going downward, where the Moon hits the ecliptic is Ketu. The South Node of the Moon, and it deals with our past, our karmas, what we've done and what we've been before. But I want to talk about Rahu because it just changed nakshatras. And if you don't know what a nakshatra is, in Vedic astrology, nakshatras are called the lunar mansions. And what they involve are certain portions of the zodiac which are 13 degrees 20 minutes. Whereas when you take the entire zodiac and divide it up into 13-degree 20-minute portions, you're going to have 27 of these portions in the 360-degree circle of the zodiac that we use. The meanings of these 27 nakshatras are particularly from the star groupings that are in those portions of the zodiac. They're rich with meaning and they are profoundly deep. They also have a deity as well as they also have a rulership, a planet that rules each nakshatra. And a symbol. So looking at this, we're going to talk specifically about the nakshatra Dhanishta. Dhanishta means— actually, the quote is, the saying is, "the richest one," and it is rich in spiritual depth, actually. And Dhanishta is ruled by Mars, So it is a very harsh, cutting, profound nakshatra that gets to the point of things. Now the symbol is what's so interesting about Dhanishta because its symbol is an instrument, and what it represents are timing. Its instrument per se is a drum, which deals with the beat of life, the heartbeat. It deals with rhythm, keeping in rhythm. And everything in our universe is in a rhythm. Think about every day the sun comes up the same time— well, not the same time, but in a cyclic process that every day of the year, it will be at that same position. And it changes, but that rhythm of the planets surrounding, cycling around the sun, of the moon cycling around the earth, there is a specific rhythm that is always kept. This is what Dhanishta rules. The The rhythm, the heartbeat. Never thought of it that powerfully, have you? So this is quite an interesting and profound nakshatra. And talking about the instruments that it rules, the drum or the flute— both of these instruments are hollow inside. And it's said that Dhanishta deals with that sense of not feeling whole or complete, empty, hollow inside. But you got to find your inner rhythm to make your life work. That's what Rahu in this nakshatra means for us individually, finding our inner connection, and that will deal with our inner rhythm. And when you're in the rhythm, you're healthy, you're strong, you're happy, you're balanced, you're connected to all that is. So the nakshatra Dhanishta, it is in both Capricorn and Aquarius, and it extends from 23 degrees 20 minutes of Capricorn to 16 °40' of Aquarius. So it flanks on both signs, but because Rahu and Ketu travel backwards, it is going through Dhanishta, and it will enter into Capricorn from Aquarius, going backwards into Capricorn. Now they will— both Rahu and Ketu will shift signs around the end of November. So Rahu will still be in Dhanishta, but it will be in Capricorn instead of Aquarius at that time around November 25th. And at the same time, of course, Ketu will shift into the sign of Cancer from Leo. But going back As I said, there are deities that rule these certain nakshatras, and Dhanishta is ruled by the Vasus, the, the 8 Vasus, which deal with— the 8 Vasus bring prosperity to the earth and abundance to the mental physical plane, and that's why it's called the richest one. But this portion in the sky that it deals with in the stars is the dolphin, and it is said to be an extreme visionary influence in this place, and it's good for intuitive ability. So that's what we're going to be experiencing more so, all of us, while we have Rahu in the nakshatra of Dhanishta. But another thing needs to be mentioned: it is ruled by Mars, and therefore it is said to be the most difficult nakshatra for marriage. So during this time, we will all be looking at our relationships more profoundly, more deeply, with the serious tone to correct things? How do we relate? Are we loving? Are we caring? Are we sensitive? Are we listening? All of these things have to be addressed because it has been said that those with a lot of Dhanishta planets don't listen like they should. So this is something that has to be addressed during the time that transiting Rahu is in Dhanishta. And it has been said through my book World Predictions, which I do happen to have right here— World Predictions 2024 to 2042, What Is Our Future?— I mentioned that when Rahu was in that nakshatra of Dhanishta, there were a lot more earthquakes quakes. And that is actually what's happening right now. We had the Venezuela one, we had one in Cuba, we had others around the world that— I think even in China. But there's more to come with this, is my point. It is a very powerful nakshatra, and I want you to know that It is actually— I know it's called the Richest One, but it's also called the Star of Symphony, and it deals with vibration and frequency, and it also deals with specifically, believe it or not, real estate. And so this is a good one to pay attention to because the real estate markets are about to make a major turn. And yes, I think it's going to be great for people wanting to buy, not so great for people that want to sell. So the other thing is that I've always found with this nakshatra is to listen to your inner timing, and that means your intuition. Remember, that's what I'm talking about— intuition— with this. So here's the thing. While Rahu's there, if you get an urge to go maybe to the coffee shop, maybe to the store, there's a reason. It's all about listening to your inner timing. You might meet somebody that's important. You might change something in your life that is so important by listening to that inner guidance and moving with it, going with it, doing what this inner guidance is telling you to do. This is an incredible time for transformational change on an inner level and opening more to the intuition, to the messages that our inner guidance is telling us. That's what this nakshatra is all about, and that's what you should make it all about. So this is an amazing nakshatra, and because it's called the richest one, I think a lot of people will get rich if they listen to their inner guidance. That's a promise. So with that, I think I'll close.
