Joni Patry’s YouTube talk explains the Maha-Purusha (Pancha Mahapurusha) concept and focuses on Sasa (Sasha) Yoga — the Mahapurusha yoga formed when Saturn is in its rulership signs (Capricorn or Aquarius) or exaltation sign (Libra) and is placed in an angular (Kendra) house (1, 4, 7, or 10). She describes the resulting strong Saturnian traits (responsibility, discipline, structure, persistence, reliability), how these manifest by house (e.g., wise/old-soul 1st-house, organized mother with 4th-house, long-lasting partnerships with 7th-house, leadership/management with 10th-house), warns about tendencies toward over-control, and notes that strong Saturn often produces success in the latter part of life. The video closes with promotional information for her Vedic astrology university, a newsletter, and a jewelry line.

Hi, I'm Joni Petrie, and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about the Maha Purusha yoga of Saturn. Remember, Maha means grand Purusha, means of men. And usually they're referred to as the Pancha Mahapurusha yogas, which pancha means five. There's five of them. So we're talking about the last one today, Saturn. So when we talk about Saturn as a Mah Prusha yoga, it's called a Sasha yoga. And Sasha yogas are. When you have Saturn, everything to do with Saturn is going to be explicit and powerful and dramatized in your life. And that can be a very good thing. I'm going to talk about a little bit of the drawback with it, too. But it means that everything that Saturn's about.
You have this quality of greatness. And it's been said Saturn is the planet of greatness because it is the planet maturity and most of all, wisdom. Now, wisdom usually comes with age because it's just something you learn. But to have Saturn.
In its own sign or exalted in an angle is a Sasha yoga. So let's talk about that. What signs must Saturn be in? To have a Sasha Yoga, it has to be in its two signs of rulership or its exaltation sign. So Saturn rules, rules both Capricorn and Aquarius. So if you have Saturn in Capricorn in Aquarius, or you have Saturn in its exaltation sign, which is Libra, if your Saturn is in Capricorn, Aquarius or Libra, and it sits in an angular house, which we call a Kendra, 1, 4, 7, or 10, you have a Sasha yoga. And every positive and powerful quality that Saturn is all about is who you are, which is responsible, structured.
Disciplined, focused, organized. Yeah, maybe you don't have them all, but I guarantee you, you are very Saturnian, which represents you have this sense of responsibility. You would never consider blowing something off till it's finished. And furthermore, with Saturn being this powerful and this strong, you would never not show up to work or not finish a project. It's your responsibility. And that's what you really are huge, big on.
So Saturn being in these signs, it makes Saturn so powerful. So being ultra mega responsible, being ultra mega concerned about everything, sometimes being perfect.
You know, nothing's perfect. So you got to give that up. And you probably learned that over time because here's another thing that sometimes the Sasha yogas are guilty of being overly controlling. They can't help it. They got to get everything right. They're Ultra mega responsible. You know, it's everything to do with what Saturn is. They're powerful, positive qualities. So I personally think the stronger Saturn is in a chart, the more success that you will have in the second part of life for sure. So you want a powerful Saturn. It really gives you your just rewards of what you're all about, what's due, what's your karma through your actions. That's what this yoga will deliver. So if you have Saturn in the first house in either Capricorn, Aquarius or Libra, you will be so ultra responsible. As a matter of fact, when you came into this world, they probably said, you know, she's never gotten to be a kid because always older than their years, always a wise old soul, always wanting to be responsible for everyone, including their parents. Saturn, Sasha yoga in the first house, Sasha yoga in the fourth house. The mother can be very organized and keeps things together for the family. But sometimes some of the signs can be a little cold and detached. It is Saturn, but it's still going to give you an amazing discipline and focus and dealing with structure. You could even be like a architect. That's the power of this. So it's really powerful and strong and everything to do with how you operate in your life is about this. Now let's put Saturn in the seventh. You will stay in relationships for the duration, make them work. Saturn actually gets directional strength in the seventh house too, which means it's more powerful. If you got a Sasha Yoga there, boy, it's over the top. Everything to do with Saturn you are and you're going to attract someone in your life that is just like you because that's the seventh house. Saturn, Sasha Yogin the 10th. You are in control of many people through your work because you are an organizer, you're a director, you are the disciplinarian, you are.
The one who focuses everything, gets everyone focused and you are a leader and you will lead many with Saturn being in a mahapurushi yoga in the 10th house, the Sasha yoga. So if you have Saturn in any of these houses.
And it is in its own sign or exalted, it is all powerful. Saturn, by the way, in Libra, can really deal with people. Libra is about connecting to people and making sure everyone's comfortable and in a good place, you do that. Very, very wonderful to have an exalted Saturn. And people with Asasha yoga will go far because they never give up. That's another quality of Saturn, persistence, being determined with persistence and reliability. People with Asasha yoga are extremely reliable. These are the qualities that we want in people in our lives. The only problem is that sometimes they can be over the top and be a little too controlling but once they've learned not to try to control everything. It's a fantastic, powerful, powerful yoga to have in your chart. So check it out, see if you've got the Sasha yoga. So with that I'd like to close.
