Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about something that I've heard many people make reference to many Western or Vedic astrology, the Saturn return. And remember, when I am talking about aspects such as cycles of the planets, well, doesn't matter if you're doing Vedic or Western, the cycles are still the same. The aspects are still the same. So I'm going to talk about the Saturn return, which everyone.
Always talks about in such a detrimental way. And it's not. It's not that at all. So before I start, I always want to remind everyone to sign up for my free newsletter to receive all of my predictions delivered to your email address, which you can go to my website. Sign up for my free newsletter, which is galactic center.org and don't forget, if you're interested in learning Vedic astrology, go to my university website, which is universityofvedicastrology.com and check out on my website my spiritual jewelry, which I'm selling, Malas. And the spiritual references that remind us of what we're here to do while we're here on Earth. So let's go back to Saturn. Everyone talks about the Saturn return like it is a curse. It is not. And many get the Saturn return mixed up with Saudi Sati, two different things entirely. So the Saturn return is simply when Saturn goes all through all 12 signs of the zodiac and returns to where it was when you were born. This takes 28 to 30 years, depending on if Saturn was retrograde or direct when you were born. But it always takes around that time and really what it's all about, since everyone goes through it around the same time of life. It means maturing, growing, coming to a point where I used to always say it makes people different in their 30s from people in their 20s. It's just, it's time to grow up. It's time for you to start thinking about marriage, family, having a home. There's no more of this time of playing around like you do in your twenties. Although some don't. But you know what I mean. There's just this time period where the things that you used to be interested in aren't that interesting anymore. That's really what it entails. So it's just a maturing and it's actually a good thing. So there comes a time when we grow up and you know, would you still want to be interested in the things that you are interested in when you were 13? I mean, come on, that's the difference. Your Perspective of life changes, you mature. Remember, Saturn deals with wisdom. And as we evolve and get older, you may think it's a bad thing to get old because you may not look as good or have as much energy. But I guarantee you, the older you get, you think to yourself, boy, I never want to go back to that. I never want to think like that or be that again. Because really, it brings maturity and wisdom. And there is nothing more powerful than wisdom. And wisdom is something that you gain through experience. You can't gain wisdom through reading a book, trying to understand it. It's only experiential. When you go through something, then you know it, you feel it. Nobody can tell you if it's wrong or right, you know, because you've been there and you've done it. That's what Saturn brings. So Saturn's return happens every 28 to 30 years. Therefore, you get another Saturn return around age 58 and 60. Then if you live long enough, you'll get the third Saturn return, which will come around 88 to 90.
But what's interesting about the Saturn return 58 to 60 is that that is the only time astrologically that both Jupiter and Saturn return at the same time. Now, Jupiter takes 12 years to go through the whole zodiac, so you get a Jupiter return every 12 years. But it just so happens that both of these conjunctions, Saturn on your natal Saturn and Jupiter on your natal Jupiter, happens to happen around age 58 or 60. And it is a turning point of great maturity for everyone around that time. Don't fear growing old. Don't fear going to this point. Because the vision and the light and the wisdom that comes at that age is beyond belief.
If you use it properly. Now, we are always forced to grow up. We were always forced to mature. And some people resist it. They just want to stay immature and they don't want to grow.
And especially grow in wisdom and awareness. And when this does happen, they say around the age of 27, before somebody goes into the Saturn return.
That this is like where a lot of people die. Now, there's a couple of reasons why that happens at that age. Not just that. Saturn. Saturn returns because, you know, what do they call it? The 27 Club, where, you know, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, all of those, Kirk Cobain, all of these major stars that just didn't want to grow up, died.
But there's also something that happens around age 27, and it's when Mars, the planet Mars, comes to its maturity in Vedic astrology. So there is more than one Reason why that's such an age factor where a lot of people die. But.
I actually love Saturn and really if you love Saturn, it's going to love you back. Here's the thing. When you have a great Saturn, I've said this many times before and it's a fact. When you have a great Saturn and you truly respect Saturn, the second part of your life is always better than the first because you appreciate your wisdom and maturity. But let me straighten something out. A lot of people think that their sati sati is their Saturn return. Sati sati.
It actually means seven and a half years, which it's when Saturn comes to your natal moon. It's not when Saturn returns to its natal position. So it's when Saturn comes to your natal moon, the sign before the sign of your moon and the sign after your moon. Now I've already done a video, you can check that out in my archives here. Unsati sati call it. Is it seven and a half years of bad luck? Of course not. But many think that. And if you look it up on the Internet, let me just say it's going to scare you to death. But I have proven that some people reach their highest success when they go through their Saudi sati period. But I'm talking right now not about Saturn coming to the moon, but Saturn's cycle coming back to where it was when you were born.
Now with Saturn's cycle, I always like to look at these cycles as.
The conjunction, the square and the opposition. So if you start from when you're born and Saturn starts on the day of your birth, there will be seven years when you're age seven that Saturn will come 90 degrees away from where it started. This is a square. Then when you're age 14.
That'S when Saturn will oppose its natal position. And then seven years later at age 21, that's when you'll go through another square of Saturn. And it's actually kind of like the phases of the moon. There's the waxing square, the opposition which would be like the full moon and the waning square. Then you come back to the conjunction and that's the 28 year period. So my point with explaining this is every seven years there's a crisis point in your life. You know how they always say it's a seven year itch and what people can't grow up and you know, they hit their 40s and then they want to all of a sudden buy sports cars and go back to their youth. That's Saturn's cycle. And if you'll count around, you know, like we were talking 28, add seven to that. Continuing on over and over again, you're going to see that these are the cycles of life. So what is this from age 28 to age 35 to age 42. 42 is a very significant time frame because there are many aspects that hit at age 42. For one, it is Uranus square Uranus and Saturn, and it's Saturn's seven year cycle. Then again at 42, I think it's even where Neptune, Neptune will actually know. I take that back. It's Uranus opposition at age 42. Uranus takes 84 years to go through the zodiac. So at age 42, Uranus is opposed Uranus, but it's Neptune square Neptune and at this point, Pluto square Pluto. All that happens at age 42. But continuing on, another crisis is age 49 and then age 63. It's every seven years we go through this crises of do I want to change? Do I want to grow up? Do I need to change? Can I hold on to the past? The answer is no. And if you do, you're going to create problems in your life. You got to go with the flow. That's what astrology really is, is knowing what the cycles are and preparing and going with the flow flow. Otherwise it creates conflict, difficulty, and your life is hardship. So that's the beauty of astrology. So pay attention. Watch the cycles of the planets. Different, different years of our life. We have to transform and change. And one of those powerful, powerful cycles is the cycle of Saturn. Especially.
When Saturn makes its return every 28 to 30 years. So pay attention, you'll be glad you did. So with that, I'd like to close. If you would like more information on me or if you would like to sign up for my free newsletter once again.
