Scorpio Rising: Mars Is Your Ruler, Most Passionate and Intense!

Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about if you have your rising sign, which is it? Which is your ascendant in the sign of Scorpio. Scorpio, and in Vedic astrology we call it the lagna. So what is the rising sign? It's a sign that is actually rising on the eastern horizon at your day and time of birth. And it sets up the whole chart. It determines what houses are ruled by which planets. Therefore, what houses, your planets on your birthday, what houses they're going to sit in. So, so the rising is so important.

So if you don't know your Vedic astrology ascendant or rising sign, you can go to my website where I have a free chart calculator and put in all of your data and see what your as is. Now don't try to read those charts. If you're unfamiliar with Vedic astrology, go to the bottom, scroll down, and it will clearly tell you your as is in this sign. Your moon is in that sign. So that's what I want you to get, the as, the ascendant. And once you have that, then you'll know what your rising sign is. And if you can find out the degree, you can even get more information as to what Nakshatra and where your ruling planet resides in your chart. This is very basic, but it is really the crux of your chart. You're rising your ascendant. So today I'm here to talk about if your ascendant is in the sign of Scorpio. And let me tell you, I know plenty of people with the Scorpio rising because it's the most intense and it is the most.

Deep, intensely deep, penetrating sign of the zodiac. So people with this rising sign are deep, profound and intense. This is very Scorpio. Scorpio is a water sign and it's very emotional. But if you can see that it's a fixed water sign, then you can consider it's hard for Scorpios to express the way they really feel because they have all these deep, incredible emotions and passions.

But it's a fixed sign, so it's like frozen water. How do you express it? But it's so profoundly deep. Now, Scorpio and Vedic astrology is ruled by Mars. We do not use the outer planets rulers. So Mars rules Scorpio. And Mars is passion. It's red, it's blood.

It is a very aggressive planet. It deals with sports, aggression, war.

But when you look at Scorpio, Mars Also rules Aries, but when you. Which is very outwardly expressive in that way, but Scorpio is inwardly expressive in this way. That's why they have deep emotional feelings and passions. Mars rules passion.

So Scorpio's all about passion, intensity.

Yeah, it's deep. And if you consider Scorpio is the eighth sign, it's relative to all the meanings of the eighth house as well, which can deal with. With depth, research, analysis, emotions, what's beyond this world, life after death. This is all the things that are incorporated into the meanings of this deep, profound sign ruled by Mars.

So.

I want to go over the certain degrees that you may have in your ascendant. So if you are a Scorpio rising.

And your ascendant sits between the very beginning 0 degrees to 3 degrees, 20 minutes, then this means that your ascendant sits in the Nakshatra. Vishaka. Vishaka is the most determined. Its symbol is a archway, victorious archway. So people with Scorpio in Vishaka are so determined to get what they want, they're going to do whatever it needs to get what they want. Scorpio can be a very prosperous, wealthy sign because they make no bones about achieving what they want. And they go after it and they get it very passionate and driven. Very. So that would be the most passionate and driven portion of. Of Scorpio in terms of career, success and ambition. But if your ascendant sits beyond 3 degrees, 20 minutes, through 16 degrees, 40 minutes, then this means your rising sits in Anuradha. And Anuradha is really a sweet Nakshatra. And, you know, so many people give Scorpio a bad rap because they think they're so, you know, intense and, you know, over the top. But Vishaka. I'm sorry, not Vishaka. Anuradha is the Nakshatra that rules friendship. And so there's this great warmth that exudes from people with this Anuradha rising. And it's ruled by Saturn. So they're very responsible and deep and nice and good people.

They mean well. This is a great Nakshatra. Very emotional, sensitive, and take caring and very caring.

Now, if your ascendant sits between 16 degrees, 40 minutes to the very end of the sign, to 30 degrees, then your ascendant sits in the Nakshatra. Jaista. And Jaista, they affiliate with black magic, all this deep, dark stuff. I find that people with this Nakshatra have people jealous of them more times than the other way around. Much more. So consider that finding so many people with Jasta go. I don't understand. Why would people be jealous of me? They just don't get it. But they are. That's Jasta. And Jasta because it has this powerful.

Indication of like deep dark energy that whatever people focus in on that have this Nakshatra strong, especially if it's your rising sign you can manifest. And what I found more commonly than not was most people had something in Jaista that were billionaires. So this is a very powerful, powerful Nakshatra. Don't kid yourself. Jesta is powerful.

Jesta is ruled by Mercury. So it can be extremely mental.

And they're deep, deep thinkers. It's a powerful Nakshatra, Jaista, and it is in the tail of the scorpion, which can be part of the poisonous venom of the scorpion. So that that's where they attribute the jealousy issues with Jaista. But Jesta is power. It is strong, it's passionate. People get what they want. Okay, so let's talk more about this Scorpio rising.

In terms of Mars being your ruling planet. Mars is very strong and aggressive and focused and determined. Right. So if you have Mars in your first house and you have Scorpio rising, this means you have Mars in Scorpio. And it would make you incredibly passionate, determined, ambitious and driven. Deep, deep soul.

And you never can sit still very long because Mars on this. And it means you're always getting up to go somewhere you're. You can't sit still for a minute because you're always thinking about what you need to be doing. It's bars on the ascendant and in Scorpio, it's driven and always thinking about what you want to achieve. So.

If you have Mars, your ruling planet, you have Scorpio rising and. And you have Mars in the second house, it means your Mars Sits in Sagittarius. And boy, will you be an achiever financially. Hey, early childhood might have been a little difficult with Mars being there in the second house, but you made it your ambition and desire to achieve in this lifetime to overcome whatever you had to deal with in your childhood experiences. So that's Mars in Sagittarius and a love of adventure and, and travel with Mars and Sag. And it's your chart ruler in the second house. You want to earn money and be successful and you will. Let's say you have Mars Scorpio rising Ascendant, and you have Mars in the third house. Wow. Your chart ruler, Mars is exalted in Capricorn. You, you will be driven, ambitious, successful, may have some real issues with the brother or sister, though, I can guarantee you that. But it's probably because you're an overachiever and more successful and driven.

Powerful chart ruler exalted. And it's Mars and Mars. Let me tell you. Mars in Capricorn is very, very wealthy. You will do very well. You and you will travel the world. Love of travel, love of learning, very intelligent, amazing placement. Let's say you're Scorpio ascendant and you have Mars in the fourth house. It means your Mars is in Aquarius. And I would have to say there was probably some difficulty early on with your mom or your mom had a really rough life. Things were difficult. Mars, there's not a sense of security or peace going on in the household with Mars and Aquarius in the fourth house. But you know, you can do quite well with real estate and property when your chart ruler being Mars. Mars is actually the karaka, meaning indicator of property and real estate. So being in the fourth house, you will do well with real estate. Remember that.

Let's say you're Scorpio rising, but you have Mars in the fifth house. And this means that your Mars is in Pisces. You're highly intelligent. You love to build things. You have to understand how things work, the background about things. Why? Because Mars is, is powerful here. And it means that you, you are like an engineer. You have to understand the mechanics behind things. Mars is very mechanical and being in the fifth house gives a high degree of intelligence and understanding. Fifth house is intelligence. You could have issues with the child if you have children, being a little bit too rambunctious and over the top, I would assure you of that. Or either have a child that's an athlete, but you will do very well with investments and everything to do with real estate with that placement. So let's say you're a Scorpio Ascendant, but your Mars sits in the sixth house. That means it's in Aries, its own sign of rulership. And this means that you will be into the healing arts. You will love healing and helping people on all levels. Because this Mars is extraordinarily strong in the house of health and healing. But you've got to be careful of accent accidents with this placement. You're very accident prone, but you are a healer and you will do wonders to help other people.

And be careful of your co workers. They might be backstabbing or you'll, you'll know they're not going to be. They're just not easy and don't help, don't help you in many ways. All right, let's say you are a Scorpio Ascendant. Your Mars sits in the seventh house means it's in Taurus.

Mars in the seventh house is kujadosha. It means you have very difficult.

Relationships or they can be very difficult is practically what I'm saying. Yes, very combative. But Mars being in Taurus means they're a little bit passive aggressive. Taurus.

Mars, Taurus doesn't want to become confrontational, so intent. Instead they'll get back at you in other ways that will harm the relationship. Like being late and just not.

Always having to be right in. Very stubborn.

Okay, so what if you're a Scorpio Ascendant Lagna and your Mars sits in the eighth house? That means you have Mars in Gemini. Boy, are you a deep thinker researcher. Always getting to the core and the bottom of things. But Mars being in the eighth house, ruler of your chart, is not easy. And there could be some instances of sexual abuse even. Watch out for that. Especially if it sits in the Nakshatra. Your Mars in Ardra. So that could be something that maybe if you had some issues or problems and you can't figure it out, maybe there's something you blocked out. Think about it. If this is your placement. So Mars being in the eighth house, you're very scientific minded and your ability to research things is amazing. And you're highly, highly deep and intelligent. And you really want to understand why we're here and where do we go when we die that's so important to you. Okay, probably you'll figure it out too. Let's say you're Scorpio Ascendant and you have your Mars in the ninth house. It means you have Mars in Cancer in the ninth house. Don't forget Mars is debilitated in the sign of cancer. So there will be probably issues with your dad. There's something about your dad that's weak. He pretends to be strong and maybe a bully, but he's weak. And that's why he overcompensates in his behavior. And Mars being in cancer, you are hypersensitive and you can't bring your emotions and sensitivities into the workplace. Remember that. But you're very passionate about what you sense and what you know about spirituality and what is the truth in this world.

Okay.

If you are a Scorpio rising.

And you have Mars in your 10th house, it means it's in Leo and you will be very successful with your work. It's the most important thing to you, your work. And you'll be extra, extra ambitious and driven to be successful. You'll probably have your own business and very, very successful Mars and LEO in the 10th house, you're the leader.

And you should be, because you probably would not get along with your boss because you have the leadership qualities that they wish they had. So let's say you're a Scorpio ascendant and your Mars sits in the 11th house. It means it's in Virgo.

And Mars in Virgo is so analytical, so scrutinizing, and can be pretty critical. Watch that. But you have great ability to critique things, get to the bottom of things, analyze.

And it is very scrutinizing and critical. But hey, you don't let any details go unpassed. You'll catch everything focusing in on the details. But Mars being in your 11th house, you have friends that are combative and not so easy to get along with and can be hypercritical of you. And maybe this describes an older sibling as well.

So if you are Scorpio Ascendant and your ruling planet Mars sits in the 12th house, it means it's in Libra. And I'll tell you, you do not like to be confrontational. You will do anything to avoid confrontation. Mars in Libra plus the 12th house, you hide from it, but it is not healthy. You've got to learn to express your feelings and your emotions. When you get angry, you got to talk about it. And with Mars being in libra in the 12th house, you can't let go of some of the past when people have hurt you. So therefore, you've got to express your feelings and your emotions when you're angry. You can't do that. It's just the way it is now. One more thing, you probably have problems sleeping. Yes.

And just realize it's all the emotional issues that you've pushed down and you are trying to forget about that are causing your emotional unrest and problems around sleep. And maybe there's something from your past that happened very early on when you were a child that you blocked out once you remember it. Not that you have to relive it or anything, just remember what is causing this. It will heal.

So I think I pretty much covered all of the different aspects of somebody that has Scorpio as the rising sign. So.

Go with it. Realize what you can learn from this and who you really are, your attributes and what you can learn by really understanding your rising sign and where your chart ruler Mars resides in your chart.
