A short Vedic-astrology forecast by Joni Patry (September 1, 2024) focusing on the Moon being in the balsamic (waning, pre-new) phase. Patry explains this is a time for introspection and not for starting new projects, and she references traditional lunar timing (e.g., Farmer’s Almanac) for practical planning.

September 1st. This is right before the new moon. Because the moon is behind the sun. This is what we call a waning moon. It's in the darkest, darkest phase, which is in Western astrology called the balsamic moon. And with that, that means it's a time for introspection. It's not necessarily the time that you're going to want to go out, do new things, start new things. You gotta wait till the new moon. You can't have this happening when the moon is dark and a phase is ending. So the cycle of the Moon is so vitally important. If you want to really use astrology to get things done, remember the Farmer's Almanac? They use the cycle of the moon to plant. It truly works.
