Hi, I'm Joni Petrie, and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about an amazing astrological aspect. It's actually a configuration that involves three planets and it's called the Yod. And what the Yod is referred to in astrology is the finger of God. And I'm going to explain exactly what a yod is and why it is so potent. And most of all, that we have planets forming in our heavens this month of July. Major, powerful Yods. And actually, if you were to draw a line from one planet to the other two planets that are involved, it kind of makes a Y in the chart, a formation of a Y, and that's why it's called a Yod. But the finger of God is because it produces such extreme events.
You see, it involves one planet that forms a quincunx to two other planets. And the two other planets on the other side are actually in what we call sextile. So let me break that down. If you don't know what any of that terminology means. A quincunx is when a planet is either six or eight placements from each other, and on the other side it will be six or eight placements from each other. And when I say six or eight, I'm counting signs like Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo. Virgo to Aries is six placements away. And that is a very difficult placement because actually we call it a 6, 8 or an 8. 6 it really is relative to what those houses mean. In astrology, the sixth house is enemies and accidents, whereas the eighth house is known to be death, endings and major change. So you put those together, this can cause major accidents that can kill it. Is that severe? I remember when I was looking at the charts of so many people that died in the airplane crash on September 11th or that were in the high rise that died in these accidents, they all pretty much had these 6, 8 quincunx aspects between planets where one planet, if you count from one to the other, it's either 6, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or it can be 8 1, 2, 3, 4th, 5, 6, 7, 8. So that's the spatial relationships between these planets. So here is what I can, I can show you, just so you can get it in your mind's eye what I'm talking about. So, so right now, in the heavens in the month of July, and I was actually pulling up the chart for July 4, because that is where there is a pretty perfect yod going on, where Saturn is 17, 18 degrees Capricorn, and the sun sits at 18 degrees of Gemini on that day. So if you will count from Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, the Sun goes six placements from Saturn. And if you were to count to the other planet that is six placements away from the sun, you're going to arrive at Ketu. So if The sun is 18 degrees, K2 is about 16 degrees, 16, 17, 16 degrees of Scorpio, K2 is 16 degrees of Scorpio. Count from the sun being 18 degrees of Gemini. So Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio. So that's six placements away. So you see the sun.
Forming a quincunx to both Saturn and Ketu. And if you will count from Saturn to Ketu, which is a sextile, is three signs away. So Ketu being in Scorpio 2, where Saturn is in Capricorn, Scorpio, Sagittarius, capricorn. So that's three signs away, which is 60 degrees, which is a sextile. So that's what forms a yod, which when two planets are three signs away, but a third planet, both of them form a quincunx, which is actually 150 degrees. But just look at it in terms of six placements away. And when you have this.
Here'S the thing, it gives the meanings of the six, which deals with enemies and accidents. And really it's going to give a quincunx will be.
An aspect where one planet forms six placements, because if you look from Saturn to the Sun, Saturn to the sun are six placements. But if you count from the sun all the way back to Saturn, it will be eight placements. So, so Saturn's in Capricorn, the Sun's in Gemini, Gemini, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sag, Capricorn. So you see a quincunx when you go from two planets from one back to the other it's a 6, 8 relationship which gives accidents and endings. So enough of the calculations. Let me tell you what it's going to mean for you because this is what everyone's here really to better understand what is this astrology? What is this yod telling us? And by the way, soon after Mercury comes into the position where the sun is and forms another yod between Saturn and Ketu. And the sun is rulership, leadership, it is the presidents around the world. And I think something detrimental is happening to leadership and it could even mean to a world leader there could be something very, very difficult occur. And if this does occur, this will bring about total chaos. Total chaos is going to be going on in the world.
With this type of aspect. But they also say that this is a faded aspect by the effect that they say it's a finger of God. Do we have any freed in this event? That's a hard one to say. Some say yes, some say no. But one thing for sure, they say that this aspect can cause is an uncomfortable feeling. It's like something that just needs to be fixed that is out of whack. And this is what's causing an upheaval in some way.
So look at this as we must all of a sudden now consider what the signs are telling us that are in this aspect and that is Saturn's in Capricorn while the sun is in Gemini. Gemini is about communications, Gemini is about.
It'S about.
How we relay something. And it's also about traveling. And Saturn being in Capricorn deals with some kind of government which may be an aircraft involved here may have a problem with carrying a world leader, something to that effect. Plus.
Ketu. Ketu is the indicator of losses, endings and being in Scorpio, especially on the fixed star Antares. This makes it even more volatile of what could this yod be telling us as Ketu sits in Scorpio on the star of War.
And as Scorpio aspects Mercury. Here's another little tidbit I'm going to add.
The sun in this chart is very, very close to the sun that is in the United States birth chart, which is the chart for July 4, 1776. Now the reason why the sun is not the exact degree that it was in 1776, which it was at 2122 degrees of Gemini, now it's at 18 is because precession, that is what makes Vedic astrology different from western tropical astrology. Because Vedic astrology takes into account the movement of the stars. Therefore the signs are different.
This is the true placement of where the sun is today 18 degrees of Gemini, not 22 degrees of Gemini that it was in 1776. You see, the sun has shifted backwards to 3 degrees, which as in precession, all the planets shift backwards.
1 degree in the zodiac every 72 years. So that is why we have a different placement for the Sun. But it is still a world leader and it still represents something that is probably deeply affecting the United States because the sun is within 3 degrees of this sun's placement. And even Jupiter in the United States chart sits at 15 degrees of Gemini and the sun here is at 18. We have some major aspects with a yod affecting the chart for the United States and it can be affecting many different.
Countries depending on in the world. If they have placements around the degrees of 16 to 19 degrees of Scorpio.
Capricorn or Gemini, then they have a planet tied into this yard, which is, let me remind everyone, a destiny point. Something of a destiny is here and occurring in the world. Wake up, look around, see what we're about to learn. That is the power of what astrology can teach us and better help us navigate through our lives in circumstances, events and situations.
