In this instructional YouTube video, astrologer Joni Patry explains how the desire for fame is reflected in Vedic astrology charts, focusing primarily on the role of Rahu. She outlines the importance of the 10th house as the arena of career, reputation, and public standing, and describes how Rahu placed there—or conjunct other planets—can generate fame, both positive and infamous. Patry details specific planetary combinations with Rahu (Moon, Venus, Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Sun) and the types of recognition each tends to produce, providing numerous historical and contemporary examples such as Charles Manson, Clint Eastwood, Charlton Heston, Meryl Streep, Paris Hilton, Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and Albert Einstein. She also notes practical challenges like the modern privacy act limiting birth‑time data for newer celebrities. The video concludes with calls to action for viewers to enroll in her Vedic astrology courses, use her Galactic Planner, and subscribe to her newsletter.

Hi, I'm Joni Patry, and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about how to find fame in a chart. And really, if I could say, the thing that gives us an insatiable urge to want to be famous, to want to be recognized, to want to be noticed, is usually Rahu in a chart. So Rahu gets a really bad rap in Vedic astrology because it is a malefic, and what actually comes with fame is usually a lot of Problems, but doesn't matter. A lot of people want to be famous. How can you find fame in a chart? Well, the first thing that you're going to glance at— and this doesn't always do it— but the 10th house. The 10th house is your career, it's your social standing, it's your reputation in your chart. So when you go to the 10th house and you have planets there You'll be noticed. Absolutely. And if you have Rahu there, you will especially be noticed because remember, Rahu and Ketu are that serpent that got sliced in half after they drank the potion of immortality. So looking at that with Rahu, it's the head of the serpent, and therefore it deals with our mind and our obsessional quality of our mind, what we desire Desire, where Ketu is the complete opposite. It's about what we want to let go of, what we, you know, what we want of our past, but letting things go. Whereas Rahu's our future and what we really desire, what we want. It is our obsessional nature of who we are. Rahu deals with desire. And what I find is when Rahu is conjunct a planet in the 10th house, it can bring fame. It can just be Rahu in the 10th house by itself, but more than anything, when you have the Moon in the 10th house all by itself, it can mean fame because the Moon is the public, the Moon is the masses, the Moon is your emotions, who you are mentally. And when it shines in the 10th house, then you're noticed by the public. I always say when people have a Moon in the 10th house, you will be known for something you do. You will be very well known for something you do. Now, that doesn't always mean a movie star, politician, or millionaire. It can mean if you're a plumber You will be known in your town to be the best plumber. You will be known everywhere. That's the Moon in the 10th house. It does bring recognition and fame. But when you have the Rahu conjunct the Moon in the 10th house— many famous movie stars have this. It's astounding. It's actually in this book I wrote a while ago. It's called Moon, Mind, and Consciousness, and I have such a number of people of the Moon in the 10th house with Rahu. It's really amazing how many people have this. So I go through everything with the Moon though in this book, the Moon's yogas, as well as Rahu or Ketu conjunct the Moon. It's pretty incredible. Let me see if I can name off some of these people. Whoa, now get this— Charles Manson has Moon conjunct Rahu in the 10th house. If you don't know who Charles Manson is, you weren't, you know, you might be too young, but he was a Well, interestingly enough, he never single-handedly killed anyone, but he was the cause of the Manson murders. He hired people to kill people, and he had a whole cult of people following him, and he spent more than half his life in prison due to it. But very, very well known, very famous. So sometimes I guess you might call it Infamous. And let's see who else had the Moon. A lot of people have the Moon conjunct Rahu, which makes them extreme. But to have the Moon in the 10th house— well, here's somebody who just has the Moon in the 10th house: Clint Eastwood. He's a major movie star and movie producer. Another person— I use a lot of old actors. You know why I do this? We can get their birth times. The new actors and actresses, we can't get their birth times because they instilled this Privacy Act. I think it was in the '80s or the '90s, and all of a sudden you couldn't get anybody's birth time anymore. But all the old people, it was all documented. So Charlton Heston, major movie star, Moon in the 10th house. And Tom Cruise. Let's see. No, he has a Moon-Rahu conjunction in the 5th house. Let's see. Yeah, and the 5th house, by the way, is the house of acting and performing. And Meryl Streep. I think she's one. Well, she's one of the people that won one of the most Academy Awards. She has a Moon-Rahu in the 10th house. Very, very famous. And who else has the Moon and Rahu in the 10th house? I found a ton of them. Anyway, I'm not running across them right this second, but I know that Paris Hilton has, and she was very famous there for a while. She has a Moon-Rahu But it is in the 9th house. And you know what? Essentially, it was her father who was, I believe, the son— I think it was her— I don't know if it was her grandfather or great-grandfather that started all the Hilton hotels. So 9th house deals with that. Moon-Rahu. So you get my point here. When you have Rahu— now you might have Venus-Rahu. Venus is beauty, the arts. If you have Venus-Rahu in your 10th house, you'll be famous for your creative artistic ability. If you have Rahu conjunct Mercury and it's in the 10th house, you will be famous for your creative endeavors dealing with your intellect, intelligence, and maybe even computers. That's Mercury, maybe even writing. If you have Rahu with Mars, whoa, that can be very extreme and famous. And as a matter of fact, I know 2 people that have Mars exalted in Capricorn with Rahu, but for both of them it's in the 8th house, which deals with research, analysis, getting to the bottom of things, science. Elon Musk and Albert Einstein. They both have Rahu conjunct Mars in Capricorn in the 8th house. And Saturn conjunct Rahu, that's usually frowned upon because they're 2 malefics, but I have seen them always bring gains in some way because Rahu is gains. And don't forget, Rahu is likened to Saturn. They're said to be alike, and they actually aren't enemies like you think. So Saturn-Rahu, if it's in the 10th house, you'll be known for your organization, your power, your control, and getting the job done. Okay, so that's basically— let's see, Rahu-Jupiter. Oh, that's a big one. I've seen a lot of very famous people with Rahu-Jupiter. And And in the 10th house, they will be very well known for their big ideas. They will be very expansive. They will be— tons of opportunities come their way. They will be wealthy. Rahu-Jupiter in the 10th house, you can't deny the wealth there. And I know a lot of, a lot of very famous people either have Jupiter conjunct Rahu or trine it. It's an aspect to each other. But the 10th house, Rahu is your key issues for fame. And if you want to throw it over the top, it's going to be the Moon. The Moon deals with the public. But I'll tell you someone else that has Rahu conjunct the Sun in the 10th house, probably the most famous man in the world right now, like him Or love him or hate him, Donald Trump, Rahu Sun in the 10th house. And I'd say he's probably the most famous man in the world. Yes. So you asked what denotes fame, I'm giving it to you. And like I said, sometimes it can be fame but not for all the right reasons, such as Charles Manson, but it's still Is that they're known by everyone around the world.
