The Transit of Mars

Hi, I'm Joni Petrie, and welcome to my YouTube channel. Today, I'd like to talk about Mars and its transit through your horoscope and how it will affect you. Mars is the planet of energy. It's vivacious. It makes you move. It gets you to do things. Because sometimes Mars has this quality of aggression, and it can stir things up, and it can even deal with issues that are around, anger, because this is the fiery planet that deals with fire and energy and drive. It can deal with athletes and sports, but it also deals with weapons, and it also deals with hostility or heat. Hot actually can even deal with cooking. But Mars can be a planet of intelligence as well. It deals with mechanics and how things work. It's also the Corica, which means indicator of real estate. And where Mars goes. Sometimes when it goes to certain houses, it can give the opportunity to buy a home, because this is what it's about. But Mars does deal with ambition. It does deal with energy, and it deals with courage. And it is also a karika, or indicator of brothers and sisters, siblings. So with this understanding of Mars energy, let's see how Mars heats up all of the different houses in your chart. Now, Mars will stay in a sign for approximately two months.

So it will stay in a sign for two months, and it will take two years to go through all 12 of the signs of the zodiac when it goes retrograde, which is every two years, that is an intense hotspot in your chart. And it will stay in a sign when it goes retrograde. I'm not talking about how long it goes retrograde. I'm talking about how long it will stay in a sign when it does go retrograde. And generally it's about six months. So coming up here very soon in 2018, my Mars is going to go into Capricorn in May and will stay there through part of November, early November. So for six months, Mars will be in Capricorn. Wherever the houses of Capricorn in your chart look out, that's going to be very hot and intense.

So let's talk about Mars as it transits through the chart.

So Mars as it transits through your first house will give you action, will give you fired up. It will put the fire under your butt to get out and do things, get the job done. Mars, when it's in your first house, you can't sit still. You're always thinking about where you got to go, what you're gonna do. That's like you're anxious, but sometimes you can be a little bit too Too impulsive and impatient. Be careful because Mars in the first house can make you accident prone, so be aware of that. But most of all, it can give you the drive and the energy that you need to get things done. Can make you a little aggressive and may be quick to anger too. When it's in the first house. When it's in the first house, it's aspecting the seventh house. So this can interfere with your relationships, maybe making things a little more difficult, making you a little bit more angry, more irritable with your partner. Another thing is Mars in the second house will make you spend money quicker because it's burning a hole in your pocket. You gotta spend, you gotta do what Mars wants you to do. And it's in the second house, making you want to purchase and buy more things. Therefore, major expenditure when Mars goes through the second house. So let's talk about Mars as it. And one more thing about the second house that does deal with your teeth. Make sure you get your mouth and go to the dentist during this time. Mars being in your third house. In the third house, you can have run ins and conflicts with brothers and sisters, because when you put the carca indicator for siblings in the house of siblings, it really explodes. It's double emphasized around problems with siblings. But Mars in the third house will promote traveling trips, going places unexpectedly at the drop of the hat. In other words, trips that were unplanned that suddenly come along and you gotta go. So you may be doing some kind of renovations to your house, where it's total chaos with painting or floors. It's like it disrupts the energy in the home. So that could deal with home renovations, or it could prompt you to want to move. Or there could be some family discord with family gatherings. You just can't bring it together. There's contention around the home and possibly your mother could get mad at you.

So Mars transiting through your fifth house, this is a time that your mind is clearer, it's brighter. Mars in the fifth house will bring out the intellect, will bring out the need to understand things, but you might have some conflicts with your children. Or Mars in the fifth house, you could be strongly attracted to someone. Remember, not only Venus can deal with attraction, but Mars can too. Mars deals with the ability to really draw in energy. But Mars in the fifth house, you might be going to some kind of sporting events, because that's what Mars is all about, entertainment, fun, but sports as well.

So Mars transiting your sixth house, be careful. You may be too impulsive and this can cause accidents. Mars in the sixth house could make your co workers or employees a bit contentious and cantankerous. So be aware of what they're doing and saying and you need to just be a little more reserved. Mars in the sixth house could bring on some infections, some kind of illnesses that create a fever.

So Mars, while it transits in your seventh house, will deal with disagreements in relationships, because when it's in the seventh, it's also aspecting the first. So it's back and forth with arguing with, not agreeing with, anger. Mars in the eighth house, this could bring up some old stuff from the past that you'd much rather forget. It can deal with the things that you've been embarrassed about. Mars in the eighth house will give you a deep sense of needing to research and get to the core and get to the bottom of some things that have been bothering you. And it could represent there's something about the financial situation in the household that needs to be uncovered, and it may not be very pleasant. And Mars is aspecting the second house from there dealing with money. So as Mars transits into the ninth house, there could be some disagreements with the father, the ninth house is the father, or with your teachers at school, in the university, or teachers, by and large, because when Mars is in the ninth, it's also Aspecting the third, which deals with education. But of course, Mars in the 9th can get you going on that trip, that trip that came up suddenly, impulsively, that you have to go on. As Mars Transits into your 11th House, you may have some disagreements with friends, with people that normally you get along with, and you might want to pull away. But at the same time, when Mars is in your 11th house, it is aspecting the fifth house. This is the time you could meet someone, have this attraction. It also makes you start looking at what it is you desire and what you want to achieve in your life. Mars Transit through the 11th House, and you might have some complications dealing with elder sibling.

So when Mars transits into your 12th house, this is a time that you need to retract and retreat from the world. You're not sleeping well. Mars will disturb your sleep and wake you up during the night. Something's bothering you. But be very cautious to stay away from dark places at night, seedy places, and make sure you use your security system, because the 12th house does deal with secret enemies, which can be thieves or robbers. And that doesn't necessarily have to go with people breaking into your home or your life. It can be people that steal ideas from you because they pretend to be your friend, but they're not there, they are enemies. And Mars in the 12th house will bring this out. So this is what you have to be cautious of. But if you lay low, contemplate, it's not an easy time to meditate because Mars has your mind going 100 miles an hour and worrying about things. And it could even represent some problems with illness, such as getting infections with Mars in the 12th house. So pay attention to the transit of Mars.
