The Transiting Moon

Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Today I'm going to talk about the transit of the moon, the fastest moving planet in the heavens. And we know it's actually not a planet, it's a satellite to Earth. It's a luminary, as we call it. The moon reflects the light of the sun and we have the phases of the moon reflecting the shadow of Earth on the moon. So what we're talking about is the cycle of the moon.

So the moon essentially stays in a sign for two and a half days. So the moon will move a degree about every two hours.

Little more, but around that time, it changes one degree. So in the course of two and a half days, it will change signs. So. So it's very interesting to see.

Where the moon is for daily activities in your life. What are you feeling? What are you doing? The Moon is so vitally important.

The moon will go through your Entire chart, all 12 signs in a month, and start over. But watch how the moon, when it goes through different houses, that you're going to get a different feel. Okay? So remember, when we're talking about our charts, we're talking about our Ascendant, our Lagna, which is based on what time you are born. That sets up the chart. Now, many Vedic astrologers also look at transits from the Moon. So essentially what I'm saying is from your natal moon, whatever sign it's in, you will see where these transiting planets are in relationship to the moon. So in other words, when we talk about the Moon, Chandra Lagna, meaning the moon, is the Ascendant, you're going to see where the planets are in relationship to the moon and your Ascendant, which is based on your time of birth. So both of these are important. From Chandra Lagna, from the Moon, it'll tell you how you're feeling. But from your Ascendant, it will give you the results of what's going on in your life. So wherever the transiting moon is, remember, the moon moves the fastest in the chart will be where the most fluctuations and changes are occurring. It stirs things up wherever the moon is. So if the moon.

Were transiting your first house, it's also casting its full aspect to the seventh house. So remember, it's always all the planets, whatever house they're in, they're casting their light to the opposing house, so both those houses are activated. So when you have the moon in the first house, it will be casting its light to the seventh. So 1 7. The first house is all about you. It's all about what you're experiencing in life, what is going on in your life.

Your environment's changing the way you feel about impressions in the world, in the environment, as well as how you relate to people. When the moon is transiting your first house.

You feel highly sensitized to everything and everything everyone's saying in the environment.

If the transiting moon is in your second house or second from your natal moon, it's going to reflect issues around your financial situation. Are you spending too much money? Money's going out pretty quickly because remember where the moon is is where there's the most fluctuations. So you may find fluctuations and changes financially during that two and a half day period. And it's aspecting the eighth house so it deals with other people's money, how you share your money, how you look at your money. And the eighth house can deal with the past as well as the second house can deal with childhood. So you may have some reflections about the past or things that happened before that come to mind. Remember, the moon is the mind as well and it will reflect our conscious awareness.

So the moon in the second house. Watch what you say because you're going to be more fluid, more talkative. Things just come out. Maybe you need to be a little bit cautious and more scrutinizing in what you say during this two and a half day period. So when the moon is in your third house, your mind will be more active. This is the house that deals with education, learning and communications.

You may be more compelled to express yourself more. This is a house of expression. And your thoughts may be more fluid, more active, thinking more, more contemplative, but wanting to learn. Pick up that book and read, maybe even do some journaling and writing while the moon's in your third house or third from the moon. For this two and a half day period, you will find that you have more connections or calls from your brothers and sisters.

And while the moon is in the third house, it's casting its light to the ninth house. The ninth house also deals with your father, so you might get a call from your dad. You, you might feel more reflections about your father and your relationship, how he affected you. Third house also deals with the neighborhood and neighbors, so you're going to find more interaction with your neighbors. Maybe one comes over to offer you something for a talk, conversation you run into them while you're doing the lawn. But this is all third house. But it's actually a time when you feel compelled to learn more, to open your mind more.

As the moon transits your fourth house, you're going to want to stay home more. But as it cast its rays in light to the 10th house, you might be compelled to go to work, even though your heart says I want to stay home.

And the moon in the fourth house, you could get a call from your mom, or memories or recollections from the past, dealing with connections with your mother or mothering, feeling more protective of others.

Wanting to spend more time alone, reflective.

Or you could find it's a time you want to decorate your house. Or you're starting to think about changes that you can do to the home or your property. Maybe go buy some new things for the home.

Or possibly you just get more involved with.

Renovations, things that can make the home feel different. Because this is where the changes are occurring in the home. As the moon transits the fifth house, more connections with.

Children, your mind opens to be more creative, more insightful, expressive. And you might feel that people come to you as an advisor. People are wanting your advice. This is all fifth house. And as the moon does reflect, cast its rays and its light from the 5th to the 11th, you might find that your friends call you more. And there's something to do with friends that are connected to a better learning. Your creative experiences, meeting with groups. But it's all coming together in the way of your creative experiences and expression. Your need to study more, your spirituality. This is a fifth house matter as well. As the moon transits into your sixth house, you may start thinking about diet, exercise, how you can improve your life and yourself, improve your physical well being. And as the moon's here, cast its light to the 12th. This is the reflective force of the past. How you have contributed to your health today from the past, what you're going to do to change it. Improve with the moon in the sixth house, you will feel like there's changes going on more in the workplace, people you're working with, there'll be changes of their mood, changes, changes of their temperament. It may be even a time that you decide to go find a new pet. That's a sixth house matter as well.

But co workers and employees, you will find there's a turnover and a change more during these times.

The moon in transiting in your seventh house, it's all about your relationships. You'll find your partner to be more moody, changeable, about their ideas, their expressions, changing their mind, the direction they go. And this affects you because it is casting its rays and its light to the first house. As the moon transits into the eighth house, this is a time when you feel a little down and out, you start to reflect on some things that are not the happiest of thoughts. Because the eighth house can deal with the areas that you feel humiliated, Problems, obstacles, setbacks. The moon transiting the eighth house for two and a half days. Lay low, take care of yourself. Don't start brand new projects. Wait till the moon transits into the ninth house, not the eighth house. This is a time of inner emotional reflection. Okay? It's not a time to move forward. And you will find when the moon's transiting the eighth house, your intuition and psychic ability will be at its peak. You might get impressions from the past, from people. You think of someone, they call. This is a time of psychic awareness. And as the moon transits the eighth house, since it is a house that deals with money and money that you share with others, as it sends its rays and light to the second house, you. You realize where some of your money and expenses have been going. And you've got to create some type of changes. By the time the moon goes into the ninth house, you feel a relief. The ninth house is the house of spirituality, truth and change, and the father. All these things become.

Remember, the moon is emotional, so the people that it reflects will be more emotional. 10th house, your boss. 3rd house, your siblings will be more emotional. 4th house, your mother. 9th house, your father. But the 10th house, the mood is changing and unpredictable around the office around your workplace, and maybe your aspirations for what you think you want in this world will go through a transitional period. During these two and a half days, as the moon transits in your 11th house, it's time for new friends, new social events, new gatherings, connections, especially to women. Remember, the Moon does reflect the feminine influence. So you may find that you have new connections to women, new friends, new associations, and even your eldest sibling may call. The 11th house is also our house of our goals or aspirations in life. And this is where you're going to have new ideas in this area. Then, by the time the Moon goes into the 12th house, this is a time of reflection. This is a time of rest. This is a time to really contemplate where you want to move forward to. But this is the time to plan it, not to do it, to reflect, to sleep. This is the house of rest and sleep. It's also the house of ending. So it's time to finish up all those projects that you started.

When the moon was in the first house, because this is the time of completion. It's a time of reflection, It's a time of spiritual awareness, because you're in preparation for the new cycle of the next month of when the moon starts its journey again through all 12 signs and into your first house.
