This Week in Vedic Astrology: MAJOR EVENTS You Need to Know (Aug 1–7)

Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, get ready now. We're going to be looking at another month, so. So what we're going to be looking at right now is going to be August 1st through the 7th and we've got another month jam packed full of events. So I am here to tell you what to expect day by day. Because what I'm doing right now is I am looking at my computer. That's why you see so much light coming from here. But I'm looking at my computer and looking at each day, I move it each day to see where the moon is. Because the moon in astrology is actually like the pulse of what's going on in the world. Because the moon really does represent our emotions in astrology. It is the masses, the people, the emotions, but it's the mass consciousness. So as I go through each day, I'm going to be telling you where the moon is and how all the other planets are placed from the moon. Because we don't have a birth chart to work with here, we always work with the moon as the tracker of everything and how the other planets are placed from it tells us what we can expect in terms of each day of the month.

So remember that I am a Vedic sidereal astrologer. This is not Western astrology, but I love this because it is actually the true astronomical placements of the planets in terms of the stars which constitute the signs. So that's another thing. And if you will give me an idea where you are, because I love to see where everybody is. So down in the comment section, tell me where you live. It's fascinating to see everyone around the world. And one more thing, I am going to be talking about the time frame of where I am in accordance to Central daylight time. So I live in Dallas, Dallas, Texas, which is Central Daylight time. But remember that when it's maybe 12 o' clock here, it may be 2 o' clock where you are, depending on your time zone. So I want you to adjust it and then, you know, it's another day if you're in Australia or even in Europe. So I want you to kind of adjust this to your time zone. That's why I'm telling you this is where it is in central time zone. So let's get going. Let's look at where all the planets are and what we can expect for each day. The first week here, August 1st. So I am looking up here and at August 1st it is a Friday and looking at this we have got the moon is in Libra and with the moon being in Libra, it's always about relationships. When the moon's in Libra, Libra loves to relate. It's an air sign. So communications are so important. But particularly this is the sign that deals with marriage and relationships. So this is the day that we're focused in on that now the moon is in the Nakshatra Swati and Swati is the Nakshatra that actually deals with communications in terms of. Well, it's a very good Nakshatra for business dealings because you can be very persuasive during this time. So can others. So don't be. Don't be consumed or swayed by others opinions. Be strong and use your own because people will be very convincing with this Nakshatra. Let me tell you now I'm looking where all the other planets are and Venus sits at seven degrees of Gemini. It is with Jupiter, but let me tell you, Saturn is squaring Venus exactly today there is a lot to do with seven degree markings this whole year really because Saturn and neptune sit at 7 degrees of Pisces Squaring Venus. So realize that this is a day where you're. You want to be realistic in matters that pertain to love and how you communicate with your partner, because Venus is in Gemini. But realize there might be something that's not quite right. You're not getting the full picture. It's not clear. I say that because Neptune's there. Neptune means there's something incomplete or you can't figure it out. It just isn't clear. This relates to your communications and relationships. Remember I said today is a focus on relationships. But be aware that there's kind of a block where you're not seeing it all together. Talk things out with people, make sure things are clear. Now we're also dealing with the Mercury is still retrograde. So be aware that this is a time of deep thinking. When Mercury's retrograde exaggerates the thinking process. And when Mercury is in Cancer, which it is, people tend to overthink things and they're much, much more sensitive at this time. So Mars is even in the 12th house from the moon right now, which actually deals with not feeling like things are clear, especially in the workplace. Make sure that your co workers know exactly your intentions because sometimes this can be where people are not clear and talk behind your back because they don't understand where you're coming from. Now let's move on to.

August 2nd. This is a Saturday.

The moon is still in Libra. But I will say that.

Around 2pm Central Daylight Time the moon will move into Scorpio. So in the middle of the day the moon changes signs. Now in the first part of the day we still have it in library and it still gives a pretty good sense of where we left off the day before. But the moon's Nakshatra is different. Today it's going to be in Vishaka. And Vishaka extends from Libra into Scorpio. So the whole day the moon is in the Nakshatra Vishaka, which the symbol for Vishaka is actually triumphal archway. So it deals with someone that is very determined, strong, hard working and successful. So this is a day that you will push to find your success and be a little careful because Vishaka can be a little bit over the top, push too hard, try to be a little gentler. Now when the moon goes into Scorpio after 2 o', clock, so Scorpio is more intense and I will say it is more passionate and it can sometimes be a little bit too much. So be aware that with the moon in Scorpio, things are really heated up a bit more now. It just means people are more emotional. Really and truly it does. The Moon will be in Scorpio for the next two and a half days. The Moon stays in a sign for two and a half days. But while it's here throughout this day and into the evening, it's approaching an opposition to Uranus. So people may be very unpredictable on this day. Be aware that behaviors are not consistent. Now, looking at where the Moon is, it sits pretty much at the midpoint of the nodal axis this whole time for the next two and a half days, which means this is a very intense time emotionally. Now, Venus and Jupiter are together and they are still in the Nakshatra called Ardra.

And most of the month, well, half of the month, they're going to be in this Nakshatra, which symbol is a teardrop, which is a very difficult Nakshatra. And it will deal with storms and winds. So be aware of that. We're still, still in this cycle of major storms around the world. That is now with Mercury being in Cancer.

People are overly sensitive and they feel a sense of protection. They feel the need for security and protection. You're going to find this to be the case for almost the entire month. Something's going on globally that gives us a very insecure feeling. That's what I'll say. Yes. So with Mars being in the 11th house for the next two and a half days, be careful. Your friends will be more combative, more argumentative, not easy to get along with. And there's a great deal of criticism from them, Mars being in Virgo. So let me move on to.

Sunday.

August 3rd. And the moon is the entire day in Scorpio, but it is shifted to the Nakshatra Anuradha. And this Nakshatra can deal specifically with friendship, coming together with friends with friendship and making things work out. Now, I know Mars is in a difficult position, coming together with groups, but knowing that the Moon is in Scorpio, this can create a passion to bring people together regardless of their differences. That's what I see. Now, the Moon is pretty much close to the opposition with Uranus, which once again makes people very unpredictable. And emotionally.

They'Re kind of messed up. That's what I'll say. And I still don't like the Venus and Jupiter in Ardra together. And you know, you think Venus, Jupiter, they're both benefics. It should be great being together. They're actually not. Venus and Jupiter in Vedic astrology are the rulers of their camps. And. And so therefore you put two.

Like they say, too many cooks in the kitchen doesn't work. We got two cooks together or two world leaders together. They don't get along because they want to outdo each other. That's what's going on. And this really takes place in alignment with communications because this Jupiter, Venus are in Gemini. This is a difficult placement. And and another thing is when it comes to issues around your home, with your family, be aware that it's going to be more intense because Rahu is in the fourth house from the moon. Ketu in the tenth house from the Moon. Things around the workplace, they're changing and that could create a little bit of insecurity as well today.

Now I'm moving to Monday.

August 4th. And on this day, the Moon is in Scorpio the whole day. It will change late, but in the wee hours into the next day. So we have the Moon in Scorpio, but it is in one of the most intense Nakshatras of all, called Jesta. And Jesta usually has these indicators of jealousy, intense emotion. And as the moon transits through the end last portion of Scorpio, I always think of the tail of the scorpion, which can deal with the bite. So the Moon, don't forget debilitated in Scorpio, it's in the most intense Nakshatra today. So emotionally, people are going to be out of touch, a little bit out of control with knowing this. Keep your cool and you'll know exactly what to do and what to say to avoid any confrontation. Because Mars still sits in the 11th House and Mars being in Virgo makes people much more hypercritical. Okay, so.

Let'S move to.

This is August 5th, this is a Tuesday, and we're looking at the Moon just shifted over today into Sagittarius, and it's in the Nakshatra Mula. Mula is very intense as well because it is, is an alignment. In this Nakshatra is the galactic center, which is this powerful point where there's all these black holes in, in the, in the cosmos. And black holes really suck things in. So this is a time that don't be sucked in by other people's opinions or feelings. You got to keep your cool because Mula is ruled by the God of destruction. So people, you will find on this day will have more destructive attitudes, more destructive behaviors. Don't let them influence you. Use this destruction to clear the air of the things that need to go. In other words, don't let people influence you in a destructive way. But you can clear out Your closets, clean out your house, get rid of things you don't need. That is a really good time for this. Now, as the moon is in Sagittarius, it is being aspected by Jupiter, which is fantastic, and Venus. So these two benefics go to the seventh house from the moon. This is actually very, very good for relationships, marriage, relationships, coming together, making peace with people. Venus is peace and having a good long conversation. Mars is actually in the 10th house from the moon, which means work. You will get a lot done in the workplace.

And there's a lot of drive, ambition. But don't be too overly ambitious with your boss. They might find you're being competitive. Bosses don't like that. So you must find where you work for them, not against them. So Saturn is in the fourth house. There may be some issues going on in your home and if your mother's still around, check on her. There could be some, some, some issues or problems creeping up because Mars is getting ready to oppose Saturn there. Actually in the next two to three days it's going to heat up. Things are going to start getting really intense. But right now it's almost like the calm before the storm. So let me move on to.

August 6th. This is a Wednesday and I'm looking at the moon. It is still in Sagittarius the entire day, but it's in the Nakshatra Purva Ashata. And actually this is the best day of the moon being in Sagittarius because oppose the moon today are Jupiter and Venus. Exactly. So therefore this makes it a great day for relationships coming together in the area of love and relationships. Now Mars in the 10th house is a good day for work and getting things done.

And Saturn in the fourth house. Once again pay attention to what's going on in the home. There is a lot that you have to pay attention to and, and there might even be things around, leaks or things breaking down, things you can't see in your house that could cause you some problems. I hope it's not flooding, but recognize that you won't be able to see it till it hits. Maybe with this information you can figure it out and prevent it because yeah, Saturn with Neptune in the fourth house represents Saturn. Some, maybe some leaks of some sort if you're not feeling good. No, really, this, this is something I want you to know. Neptune can represent some kind of gas leaks or some kind of.

Negative gases or even an energy in your house that needs to be fixed.

Purva Ashada, the moon here, the truth seeker. Everything about today is Finding and seeking answers. And the truth is always the answer that heals.

So now I'm looking at August 7th, and this is Thursday. The Moon has shifted into Capricorn. And within this day, it will move up course in the later part of the day, in the evening, close to Pluto. This makes people really intense. But with the Moon in Capricorn, it will be about useful energy. In other words, Capricorn likes to be useful. And it is usually about business work, getting things done.

And another thing is, while the Moon is here, Rahu sits in the second house from the Moon. It's actually a good day for you to go out, make some money. If you're.

No matter what you're doing, your financial situation will be expanding in a good way. Okay, now we are getting close to the full Moon. Remember, when the Moon is waxing, in other words, increasing in light, before it gets to the full Moon, it's best to get things done. And I always say a few days before the full Moon, which it is today, and the next day the full Moon will actually be August 9th. But be aware that this is the time that you can do things for new beginnings. Remember, when the Moon is decreasing in light, it's time to finish things up that you stick started. So it's still in the phase of starting new projects and getting things done. And this is a really good time for that, especially since Mars sits in the ninth house. This is where you feel productive. And maybe traveling, traveling is good during this time and moving forward with any new ideas or projects. Today is the day. So this wraps it up. Except for I forgot to mention, as the Moon does approach Pluto, it is in the Nakshatra Uttarash. Both Purva and Uttarashada deal with finding truth. And it's actually a very positive Nakshatra for work, career in business, being in Capricorn. You know what? That's what it's all about today. So use this day to get business projects done. So, yes, this does wrap up the first week in August. And stay tuned because the next week is the week you're going to want to hear about with this full Moon. And actually it's the very next day.

August 8th, that I see where everything starts to blow up. And here's another thing, you know, because I'm going to say this day, this aspect's exact realize that it's going to be happening before and after the exact day. So August 7th is the day before Mars exactly opposes Saturn, Neptune. This is a very difficult aspect, but you can get business projects done. Things that need to get done. But let me just say this. Globally in the world, things are getting dangerous. And yes, Neptune rules.

Everything to do with earthquakes. It deals with.

It deals with floods, water, and things we can't see. So this is a treacherous time. And we're not out of the water. And no pun on words intended, but yes, I do kind of intend this. We're not out of the water yet. Neptune, Saturn represents calamities with the water and with Mars triggering it, a lot of calamities are coming, plus major issues with oil and gas. I think with Mars opposing Neptune, Saturn, we're going to see some very unpopular things happening where fuel and oil and gas are going to be an issue and prices are going to rise. So stay tuned.
