Transiting Uranus

Hi, I'm Joni Petrie, and welcome to my YouTube channel. Today I'd like to talk about the transit of Uranus. And yes, many people say Uranus, Uranus or Uranus, but I choose to just say Uranus because that's the way I studied this outer planet in high school. Everyone's changed the name, but this planet is so important. And I know the outer planets are not necessarily used in the Vedic system, because in the Vedic system, we only use the old rulerships in terms of what planets rule, what houses. But, but adding in the outer planets is very important to me because the outer planets really do depict the transpersonal events in the world. So they're not so personal sometimes. But when they're very close to personal planets, they have a major, major effect in our charts and they cannot be disregarded. So, so when one of the outer planets, or even asteroids or planetoids or comets come into our solar system, whenever they enter, they will bring something into our awareness. And I will talk about many of the planets and even Chiron, which is determined to be a planetoid or a, or a comet. But whatever it is, when it came into our solar system, it created a change. So when it happens, you will see a big change. So let me talk about when Uranus became visible to us on planet Earth. Therefore, whatever it is about became a part of our world. But not till it was discovered. And Uranus was discovered in 1781. And what did it bring but the industrial revolution, the cotton gin was invented, and this was the onset of all the new electronics, electricity, using machinery. All of this was the onset of planet Uranus. Now let me explain some of the keywords and what it does in a chart, because it is very, very spec and so important. Uranus is the planet of change, first of all. Foremost, it is the changer. It will be a game changer in life. So Uranus is the planet of change, but it's also called the great awakener. And it rules electricity, it rules lightning, it rules things that happen in a flash. It does create visions. It's like this visionary. But another attribute to this planet is that it will be all about sudden awakenings. So that can change everything, but it's also a bit rebellious. So when you have Uranus in a very hard aspect, it will create these sudden changes. But these sudden changes can be sometimes very harsh. It can deal with shifts of energy, but like I said, it awakens. But it can be a harsh reality. And people with this planet really strong in their birth chart will be extraordinarily rebellious. They're going to be those people that, that create the big shifts and changes in our world. And that's why when planets come together with Uranus, it can create these sudden changes. Such as in the 1960s when it conjoined Pluto, that was the time of revolution, revolutionary change. So let me talk about what that would mean. As it transits through your chart Now, Uranus status stays in a sign for seven years. So therefore it will be in the same house in your chart. Same house, same sign for seven years. Now it takes 84 years for it to complete its path through all 12 signs in your chart. So when you have Uranus come back to where it started, it will take 84 years. And many times, if people aren't healthy, that can be around the time that they pass. Because that is such harsh renewal energy.

So you got to be able to take it.

But for seven years, while it's in a sign, it will influence that house drastically. And I will add, when it comes to conjoin a planet very tightly in a chart or opposing it, look out. There will be a radical shift in change in your life. So when Uranus is in your first house, this is the house of who you are, where you are. You are destined to have a radical shift and change. If it conjuncts the ascendant, you're going to feel like electricity is coursing through your body. It does make you a bit nervous and jumpy. Because remember, it is the planet that rules electricity. And it also rules airplanes and electronics. It brought in the industrial industrial revolution. So it deals with computers, it deals with the future and those with the strong. Uranus can be visionaries and see the future. Because Uranus also rules astrology. And those that have this planet really strong in their chart will have something to do with astrology or astronomy or seeing the future. That's what this is about. So looking at it in the first house, this is where it's transiting. There will be many shifts and changes going on in your life. And even in your appearance, how you look, how you feel, nervous, hyper, many things will change. You must be careful of accidents. The first house is relative to accidents. And Uranus is this, this stark energy that's all about sudden shifts and awakenings. So when Uranus goes through your second house, there's going to be sudden shifts and changes financially. And if you're a child, then the home life, the family life will change because this does reflect early life. The second house. But in the second house, be careful. There can be Some sudden ups and downs financially, especially if it is coming in contact with conjunction or opposition to planets in the second or the eighth house.

When Uranus comes into the third house, this will be all about changes. With travel, learning, education, siblings. Sudden unexpected shifts of energy will occur in this area of your life. So this could be a time when sudden trips come about when you weren't expecting to go on a trip. All of a sudden you have to make that decision to go. And be careful driving because remember the third house does deal with transit. And, and you have to be careful on the road because this can create erratic, impulsive energy that could cause you not to make the right decisions when driving. So just be careful. But it can also open the mind to a brand new learning. Taking that new course that you never thought you could, that would broaden your perspectives and your mind. That's Uranus in the third house. So if Uranus is transiting in your fourth house, this is going to be a move. Something about where you're living could radically shift and change. You're going to find that things are not so stable going on in the home life, particularly with your family. And watch out, there could be some problems for your mother. So this is all about family and the major changes that can occur. And as well as your property, your real estate, There can be some breakdowns of equipment in your home. And the fourth house is also relative to vehicles, cars. So this could be the time that you could have car trouble. Now I'm not saying this will happen the whole seven years when it's going through these houses. But if it were to come to a particular planet, conjuncting or opposing, you will see these results.

Now if Uranus is in the fifth house, the fifth house is about our intelligence, our creativity. And the fifth house is the house of astrology. And so is Uranus. So putting that in the fifth house, this can open someone's mind to be a seer to someone that gives advice concerning the future. That's Uranus in the fifth house. Fifth house is also our children. So unexpectedly, children.

May make radical shifts and changes. They may be more rebellious to you speaking back, not being calm. Or you may find that this could be the time of an unexpected pregnancy, something to that effect. So watch Uranus as it transits the fifth house. It will enlighten and open the mind as Uranus transits the sixth house. This is the house of accidents. Put the indicator for accidents in the sixth house. You better be careful is aspecting any specific planet. There must be very, very Careful. So Uranus is sudden awakenings and unexpected events concerning sixth house matters, which could be accidents or it could be that your job changes unexpectedly. At least the condition of where you're going with your work and what you're doing. Because the six house house deals with our work, how we work in our co workers, they may change erratically and suddenly. So uranus in the 6th. Also be aware that this is the house that pertains to pets. And it would not be if it's hitting a particular planet, the best time to adopt a new pet. So this could be something unexpected that you didn't plan on. Uranus in the seventh house. This is the house of marriage. Sometimes it could be a sudden attraction, especially Uranus to Venus. All of a sudden you awaken to falling in love. But remember, this is the planet of change. And it can be a planet that can represent divorce. So watch where Uranus is transiting if it's hitting a planet in your seventh house. So Uranus in the eighth house will represent unexpected changes with your finances, Poss winning or a lottery or an inheritance. Some kind of sudden windfall financially with it in the eighth house. But it can also uncover some major hidden secrets. Uranus transiting in your eighth house, hitting any personal planets. Watch out. Things will surface that you didn't know.

As Uranus transits your ninth house, this could be some exciting new ventures. Travel, going afar. It could be exciting new studies. Waking up to something that you never dreamed possible. A new idea with learning, education. Remember, it's the great awakener. So since this is the house of the father, there can be some radical changes affecting your father while it's here in this house. So uranus in the 10th house could mean a brand new unexpected change for career. Career change. But remember, it will be something you did not expect. A major shift, a major change. And remember, Uranus does deal with computers and technology. So in the 10th house there may be need or shift to using things more technologically advanced.

It can also mean change with your boss. Your boss may change unexpectedly. And your job, you could be let go unexpectedly. So watch this planet in the 10th house. Uranus in your 11th house. This could be some sudden unexpected friends that turn on you. Because remember, Uranus is this sudden surprise. So something changes here. And there could be some issues with the older or eldest sibling in your life. This can change your your dreams, your hopes, your ambitions. Uranus is the awakener. You may discover what it is you really want in life. That's an amazing shift. So uranus in the 12th house, be aware, this could bring up some things of the past that you're unaware of. And sometimes uranus in the 12th house can bring some endings, unexpected endings. Some of the things that you didn't think would happen, could happen and bring an ending to something that you thought was going to continue. So Uranus is never expected. It's the unexpected. And in the 12th house, watch your dreams. You could have visions because it is the awakener through the dream process. Another thing is you may not rest very, very peacefully as it transits through your 12th house. So it's time to suddenly let go of things from the past.

Now, currently, as we are here in the year of 2018, Uranus is transiting into. Remember I'm talking about the sidereal zodiac, not the tropical western zodiac. So I'm talking about the Vedic sidereal zodiac. Uranus is in Aries and had it just shifted into Aries with the last year. So it's come into the zero point of Aries and right now it's early degrees of Aries. So if you look at your chart in accordance to your ascendant, look at the house that has Aries on the cusp and you will find where Uranus is transiting and it will be there. Since it just entered last year, or actually this last around September, October, this Uranus, it's been going back and forth and now it's here to stay in Aries for quite some time, for almost seven years. So watch if you have any planets in Aries or Libra, they will be affected by this transit of Uranus through your chart. So with that I'd like to close.
