Venus Retrograde: How it affects all 12 Signs

Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, Venus is retrograde right now. Venus is the planet that goes retrograde the very least. And I want to inform you about how Venus is going to affect you. But first I want to talk about what Venus indicates. Because Venus is the indicator of love, relationships, beauty, grace, charm, social events, parties, and luxury items. When I say luxury items, Venus rules vehicles, such as cars, homes, decorating, it rules fashion, it rules anything that makes things more beautiful. So you could be looking at the things that you use to decorate your home, such as furniture, paint, anything that makes your environment more beautiful, and even gardening and flowers, anything that is appealing to the eye. Now, of course, that's going to also indicate things that adorn and make a person more beautiful, such as fashion, such as makeup situation, such as going to the beauty shop, having your hair done, having your nails done, anything that you feel makes you more beautiful. This is what Venus is all about. And Venus is that luxury, I often say, whereas Jupiter is the planet that rules millionaires, Venus is the planet of billionaires. It's this opulent wealth, it's this opulent beauty, it's this soothing touch. And it also, remember, rules all of the arts, such as music, such as painting, drawing, artistry, such as film and photography. And the other things, such as film, movie, it can be going to plays, ballets, things that are in appreciation of creativity. Because Venus is the planet of creativity. So interestingly enough, it is also the planet of procreation, that which creates and brings people together. So therefore we reproduce. So it's a planet of love. So interestingly enough, I find it that Venus in Vedic astrology is so called Sukrah and Sucra, believe it or not, actually does mean sperm. And when you go back to the Greek mythology and you talk about Aphrodite, when there was the castration of Kronos, it was born of the sea foam. So you see, there's the similarity. But really, all things aside, it does represent the ability to love and recreate. And that is also anything that we create, such as the arts, painting, even writing. So Venus is such a very imperative and important planet to look for. So when we talk about a planet going retrograde, this actually means that from the vantage point of Earth, it appears to go backwards, but we know it really isn't going backwards. So it's like in the process of Earth and all the planets transiting the sun, when Earth picks up speed and the other planets pretty much in essence we bypass, it appears that they Go backwards. But when a planet is retrograde, it is actually closest to the Earth. What does that mean? Pay attention to what that planet is all about. Because this means this planet's energy is what we must be focusing in on, what we must pay attention to. Because retrograde actually is re. Anything that deals with going back and reassessing, reviewing, reflecting, reorganizing, redoing. Anything where you go back and take the time to really look into what this planet is all about. So retrogrades aren't necessarily a bad thing. They're just a very focused energy and learning and appreciation of what that planet's about. So when Venus goes retrograde, many times, astrologically, we say an old love will come back. And it can just really mean that it's time to really review and look back. Maybe people come back into our life that will give us this opportunity to reassess how we love. Because Venus also rules the heart. When you look at the chakras, the energy vortexes or centers in the body, you come to realize that the root chakra, which is Saturn, represents our grounding and can deal with our fears. Then Jupiter, which is the reproductive system of the body, Mars, is the solar plexus, and that deals with the energy, the power, the willpower. But Venus is the heart, and that deals with the principle of love and truly unconditional giving love. Love is what Venus is about. Then the throat chakra is Mercury, which deals with our communications. Then we have the sun, which is the third eye, and the Moon, which is the crown chakra. So you see, these energy centers are relative to our own solar system within our bodies, because it starts with the planet that's furthest out in our solar system, that's visible to the naked eye. Then moving forward to the planet that moves the fastest, which is the moon, which is the crown chakra. So realize Venus is love. And that is the most important thing, I believe, that can bring us together and give us a sense of unity and happiness. Because we came here to work together, to be together, and to experience love each other. You know how happy you are when you're in love. This is something that just makes your whole body feel joy, connection to another person. This is important. We all are here to love, and that is the principle and the power of Venus. Now, Venus turned retrograde October 5, and it will turn direct November 16.

But during the retrograde process, what happens is it slows down, slows down and stops. Then it goes backwards. Then right before it goes direct, it slows down and slows down and stops again.

And then it moves forward, but during a long duration. As a matter of fact, four months, Venus will be in library. Now, Libra is the sign that deals with relationships, that deals with love, that deals with harmony, balance. Venus rules Libra. It loves to be in Libra. This is the most creative sign Venus can be in. I know Venus is exalted in Pisces, which is ultimately very soft, sweet, creative. But Libra deals more with relationships. So you're going to find that this Venus retrograde is going to bring up your issues for good and bad with relationships. That's what it's for, for us to learn about how we relate. So Venus and Libra, it's probably my favorite position for it to be in.

So Venus, while it's back and forth, back and forth in Libra will bring more peace, will bring more commitment, more people will come together and realize how important it is to be together. So pay attention to where Venus is transiting during the next four months. So Venus is in Libra from September till January 1st of 2019. So September, October, November, December, those four full months, we have the opportunity to really understand the power of relationships and love. A lot of healing will occur during this time. So recognize. Also, when I talk about Venus being in Libra, I am talking about the sidereal system that I use in Vedic astrology. It is not the western tropical placements, it falls backwards, a sign. So in Western astrology, Venuses half the time in Scorpio and Libra. But in Vedic astrology, it spins the entire duration. And when I say Vedic, I mean the sidereal system that I use. It will be in Libra for four months. So let's talk a little bit about what Venus in Libra will mean for you according to your Ascendant or your moon sign. Because your Ascendant is going to be more specific what's really going on in your life, but how you feel will be reminiscent of where your moon is, where your moon is in your Vedic sidereal chart. So if your Ascendant is Libra or your moon's in Libra, that means Venus is in your first house.

Or with your moon. And what that would mean is now is the time to change your appearance. And you'll find that because of this, you're going to have so many compliments, so many people saying, wow, you look great. What have you been doing because Venus makes you glow. Venus is this glowing energy of love. And of course you're going to have a lot of people attracted to you with Venus being in the first house. So this can attract partners. This can give you so much of an appeal. And you will be more interested in arts, entertainment. These are all Venus qualities as well. Creativity.

Your clothing, how you dress will become of much more importance than normal. With Venus in the first house. Venus rules fashion. And you'll be drawn to different colors that really make you glow more. Venus is about this love principle. So you will shine, you will have charisma, while Venus is transiting in your first house. Another thing, you will have charm. You will have grace and partners during Venus transit in your first house. Now.

If your ascendant is Virgo, then this means Venus is transiting in your second house. And Venus, when it transits in the second house, of course brings more financial opportunities, income. But the second house is also the face. So you do more to adorn your face. Whether now you have the desire to go out and buy makeup, to get facials, to have your hair done, anything that really promotes beauty, creams, lotions, things like that, things that adorn the face are going to be important to you. Or even Venus rules the teeth. So recognize, this might be the time to go make your teeth better, such as getting your teeth clean, getting them whitened. But the smile and the glow of Venus will come alive. Since it rules the mouth. Your speech will be clean, will be sweet, kind, graceful, charming. This is Venus ruling the second house. And also relationships, marriage. This also family matters come together with Venus in the second house. Second house rules family and security. But most of all, financially, this will put you in a much better place. Money seems to come in, but you may find that it's time that you want to spend more money on beauty items. So that's Venus in the second house. Now, if your ascendant or your moon are in Leo, this means that Venus is in your third house. The third house is about learning, education, travel. These are going to be the things that pick up in your life. It also rules the hands. So this is a time that you may find you start to write those letters that you've been putting off, those thank you letters, those sweet, kind sentiments that you want to Tell other people how you appreciate them. And Venus being in the third house, it's also a time that you appreciate and become closer to your brothers or sisters. And you'll go on that short vacation to a spot of relaxation that really brightens your life, brings things to a happier place. So travel and taking those classes, maybe an art class, photography class, those kind of things that develop your creative skills. That's Venus transiting in your third house. So if your ascendant is cancer or your moon is cancer, this means that Venus is transiting your fourth house. It's time to redecorate. This is the home. This is family. This is security. This is the mother. There will be more gatherings, family gatherings, reunions from the past, coming together with relatives, the parents, particularly the mother. It could be a time that you buy a new home, one way or another. If you don't, it's a time of improving, decorating the house, gardening, things that adorn the house inside and out. So it's improvements to the home. Now, another thing is the fourth house rules vehicles. So when Venus, which actually rules vehicles as well, goes to the fourth house, it's the best time to buy a new car. So if you've been wondering and putting that off, now is the best time to buy a new car.

If your ascendant is Gemini or your moon's in Gemini, this means that Venus is transiting through your fifth house, which is the house of creativity. And this is the time that you feel more creative. You feel like writing that book, you feel like doing that painting. You feel like going to anything that expands your awareness with the arts, whether you go to plays, movies, go to anything that deals with painting, art, such as galleries, gallery showings, or even sporting events. Because the fifth house is actually the house of fun. So you go out and you enjoy other people and you express yourself more than ever. Fifth house is also the house of speculation. Venus is the power of prosperity. Prosperity. So this could be the best time to start speculation, invest your money in stocks or property, something that you feel compelled, you've been wanting to spend and invest. This is the best time. And this is the house of love and romance. So it's a time to start dating. You can meet someone with Venus.

Stationing back and forth in the fifth house. And children, procreation. If you're wanting to have that child, this could be the time you could get pregnant. But if you do have children, you will find that your children are more creative and have awards and recognition with Venus while it is transiting in the fifth house. So if your ascendant is Taurus or your moon is Taurus, this means that Venus is transiting in your 6th House. Remember, Venus is love and romance. 6th House deals with our work, our place of work. You could fall in love with somebody around the workplace or Venus being there, you could find that it's just bringing good energy to your work and new work and things that deal with being creative, such as with items. This is diet food, how we improve ourselves through our health. So Venus being there, you could become very creative with diet food. Maybe take that cooking class. That would be a good, a good how you could spend this energy in a positive, good way. But be aware, when Venus is in your sixth house, you will have cravings more for sweet things. So be on guard of that if that's something you want to cut back from. But Venus in the sixth house makes employees places of work much sweeter, much better. And if you're thinking about getting a pet, Venus is love energy. We all love our pets. Could be the time to adopt a new pet.

So if your ascendant is Aries, your moon is in Aries. This means that Venus is transiting. Guess what? The seventh house. That means you are going to have a lot of admirers. So if you are married, be aware people are drawn to, attracted to you, maybe a little bit threatening for your spouse. But if you're looking to get married, this could be the time of marriage proposals.

I will say this. With Venus going retrograde, I'd wait till it goes completely direct or out of Libra till I made that final decision. Because let me say this, Venus retrograde could make this so intense. It's not always going to feel like this. So be cautious, be aware that this will intensify love and connection. And it may wear off a little bit because this is so heightened. You're like putting everything on a pedestal and things will kind of come back down to reality at some point. And you got to be able to weather the storms. This isn't all an illusion that it comes off to be. But Venus, remember in the seventh house is wonderful connections and love with other people. It's also a good time to sign contracts with business partners. But wait till Venus is direct. Okay? So not when it's retrograde.

So if your ascendant is Pisces or your moon is in Pisces, this means that Venus is transiting in your eighth house. Now, the eighth house is not my favorite placement for Venus. I just have to be honest with you because sometimes it can Bring out secrets and things in relationships that possibly you didn't know of. So sometimes it can surface some kind of betrayals or secrets from partners, things you didn't know about, concerning your love life, your affection. And just be aware that whatever does come up, these are things that you have to work on and heal issues of relationships. So it can be very intense and passionate love. But be careful because when Venus goes direct and out of Libra, then you're left with the reality. Now, Venus also in the eighth house can mean wealth and money through other people. But be aware, you've got to be trusting. You've got to be able to develop trust with Venus in the eighth house. And that doesn't come easy.

So if your ascendant or your moon sign is Aquarius, this means that Venus is transiting in your ninth house. Now Venus in the ninth house of course will bring an attraction to spirituality. Trying to understand the truth, high mindedness in spirituality. And you may even find that you have a woman teacher. Because the ninth house dealing with teaching and spirituality, Venus is very, very female. So you may be able to attract those Venusian teachers and lessons about women could come into your life. There will be a closer appreciation, whether he's alive or not, for your father. This will bring up memories, old memories, good memories of the love and affection with your father. So Venus in the ninth house can also take you on a mystical experience with travel. Beautiful, mystical, spiritual travels to faraway places.

So if your ascendant is Capricorn or a moon in Capricorn, this means that Venus is transiting your 10th house. You shine, you, your reputation comes to the ultimate level. People recognize you, know you for the job you do. Your boss will applaud you. This is an incredible time for your work. Your awareness being recognized, reputation comes up. This is a high degree of reputation. Now Venus also, you could have, you could come to find that all of a sudden you have a woman boss or women in the workplace give you opportunities. But if you're thinking about starting a business in a Venus type business, this is the time. What am I talking about? A Venus type business? In fashion, in design, anything to do with creativity, the creative arts, acting, anything with self expression. So it could be becoming an interior decorator even. These are all Venus ruled businesses, music, a musician, anything that deals with your creative life force. When Venus transits in the 10th house, you're pulled towards these in a magnificent and powerful, powerful way.

So if your ascendant or your moon is in Sagittarius, this means that Venus is transiting your 11th House, the House of friendship. The House of Friends, social events. You'll find that you're constantly. And during the holiday season, what a great time to be invited to all the parties. You'll be so busy with social affairs, going to parties. And this is a great place to network. So this really helps you financially. Venus in the 11th house gives great gains, large sums of money, probably through connections. Don't pass up going to any social event to network with Venus. Being in the 11th House, this is powerful because the 11th House also rules powerful and influential people. So this is the time I want you to pay attention to that. It also makes for your drawn to people that are creative, artists, artists in some way, musicians. These are the circle of friends you surround yourself with. And the 11th House is being the eldest sibling. You'll find there's a closer connection to older brothers or sisters. So this is the time also that you may find you are entertaining. 11th house is all about entertaining. This is what Venus in the 11th house will bring. So if your ascendant or your moon is Scorpio, this means that Venus is transiting your 12th house. The 12th house is the house of endings. Wrapping things up, bringing things to a close, closure. But let me just say this. Venus loves to be in the 12th house. It's the only planet that prospers in the 12th house. So it will bring up passion, emotion, sexuality. While it's in the 12th house, it's also the house that can deal with bringing people or things from the past. This is bringing the past back. So love, romance, even just the sense of being in love with an old flame, it all comes back. Maybe they come back. But these past memories are there for you to heal. And you will have a healing with Venus in the 12th house. Now, the 12th house also deals with charitable organizations, charities which you might find that you become involved with. Maybe gatherings and groups, bringing people together in charitable organizations or events that really help people. This will bring a sense of joy, a sense of peace. And remember, the 12th house deals with foreign places. So you may find that you have opportunities to travel to distant, beautiful foreign places. And it's also the house of sleep. So there will be a peacefulness of rest, relaxation with Venus in the 12th house. But more than anything, this can be a time of healing. And I do consider the 12th house the house of forgiveness. Letting go of those old resentments that have blocked you from future happiness. So remember, all in all, Venus is all about love. And this is going to be the places where we open our hearts, whether it's through our creative abilities or or through our love and appreciation for others.
