So I'm going to go through what this means for all of us and then I'm going to give a little snapshot of what this means for you individually during this whole time period that merc. I mean Venus is retrograde. I'm so used to saying Mercury retrograde because Venus is the planet that goes retrograde the least out of all the planets. So it goes retrograde every 18 months and it stays retrograde for about 40 days. But we're going to get into some of the deep, the deep symbolic meanings of this Venus retrograde. Especially since it's retrograde in its most powerful sign of exaltation in Pisces. But before I do, gotta always remind everyone about signing up for my free newsletter. Go to universityofvedicastrology.com and become my student. So now I want to talk about Venus retrograde. As I said, Venus is the planet that's retrograde. The very least, it goes retrograde every 18 months, year and a half.
And stays retrograde for about 40 days. Most of the time it will stay in the same sign because once it goes retrograde, it goes back and forth, back and forth in the same sign. So it usually stays in a sign for about four months. And during this time, it has this amazing cycle where it becomes a morning star and an evening star. So I want to tell you what all of this means in its cyclic process. So Venus will go retrograde March 1 and will remain retrograde till April 12. But it will be in the sign of Pisces. It's already entered into Pisces January 27, and it remains there to the last day of May, May 31. So you see that it's a long time that it remains in its exaltation sign, activating it powerfully in Pisces. And let me just say that this whole cyclic process, it kind of dances back and forth. Well, the whole time that it is retrograde. Mercury pretty much will be retrograde in March. And we'll be going back and forth with Venus. We have Venus and Mercury like this, going back and forth. Pisces, Mercury's debilitated in Pisces, Venus is exalted. And really Venus will uplift the Mercury power. But it's still so interesting. Retrogrades are about review, going back, reassessing things, reflecting on things. And Venus, it is the planet of beauty. It is the planet of the arts. But most of all, it is. It is the planet of relationships, love, romance, marriage. Venus is relative to its rulership. It rules Taurus, but it rules Libra. And Libra is the seventh sign. And the seventh house in the horoscope is the house of marriage and relationship. This is what Venus is about. It's about love, opening your heart. This is truly a Venusian thing. And when you start to understand its cycle, it even makes more sense about what Venus is truly about.
So talking about Venus in its retrograde cycle, in this transition, you're going to find that when it goes retrograde two weeks after, it will conjunct the sun just about.
And when it does.
This means this conjunction. And when it's retrograde, this is actually called an inferior conjunction, because what it means, it lines up with the Earth, Venus and the Sun. The other time, when it's a superior conjunction, meaning it's not retrograde, there'll be the Earth, the Sun and Venus. That is when Venus is moving faster and not retrograde. But now we have the retrograde, meaning it's moving slower. And as it comes together with the sun, it disappears from sight. For about eight days. And the ancients were horrified by this, particularly the Mayans, because the Mayans used Venus. It was the brightness, brightest object in the sky. They looked at it for everything. And when it disappears and it comes back, then it comes back as a morning star, which previously it is an evening star where you see it in the evening sky, then it disappears for eight days. Then it's seen in the morning as the sun is rising, it is able to be seen, seen. And when in the ancient times, the Mayans thought this disappearance and becoming a morning star was very difficult. They said it was the sign of war coming. But in reality it just means things are more difficult when it is a morning star versus an evening star. And actually you can see if Venus is a morning star star and an evening star in your birth chart. That is, if Venus is in front of the sun higher in satirical degree, or behind the sun lower in satirical degree, it speaks volumes about you and how you relate with people, especially in love. So in the evening star people are more not afraid, they're more extroverted in relationship and love, where if it's a morning star, it is that people become more introverted, not as ready to express themselves in love and romance. That's, you know, it's hidden, it's behind the sun. So those are interesting variables, just talking about Venus in that process. But when it becomes a morning star.
After it disappears for eight days and then it reappears, it will continue like that for about nine months.
And likewise, when it's an evening star, it's for nine months. This is the gestation process of a baby human child. What is Venus about? Well, really, when you go back to the myths, I love the myths. In ancient times, especially the Greek myth Aphrodite, Venus.
Was. Did you know that Venus means born of the sea foam? And if you know the whole process of Kronos and the castration, well, as he was castrated, what flowed out was the sea foam, which, which form Venus. And so when you go to, and I know this all sounds kind of gross, but these are really the way these myths were constructed. And in India, Venus is sukra, which actually means semen. So taking that further.
Venus is about procreation and in order to procreate, we have to fall in love and be attracted to partners to create. And I find it so interesting that this is the time, this nine month gestation period where Venus becomes either a morning or an evening star. That's what it symbolizes. Everything is so perfect in divine order. That's why I named one of my books that Astrology, the Divine order of the Universe. It all works together. And the messages, whether it's numerical, mathematical, symbolic mythology, all works together with what it's trying to tell us.
Now. Another thing that is so fascinating about Venus is in its cyclic process.
In its retrogrades, in its five different times of retrogrades, it forms a five pointed star.
Which is the pentagram that it forms in its duration of going back and forth in its retrogrades. And each process five different times.
It takes approximately eight years.
And what's so interesting, you know, it disappears for eight, eight days, the eight years. But what is so interesting with this pentagram? And the pentagram is actually a beautiful symbol in Japan. It's looked at as the five elements.
And it's the number five, which is a vibrant, active number, deals with.
Celebrations, freedom. Five is an amazing number of.
Action. Let me put it that that way. I love the number five really and actually give you a little history. I used to live in a house that its numbers added up to a four. I've never worked so hard through those years with, with the least amount of accomplishment too. It's hard, hard work. And now the house I live in adds up to a five. Everything changed when I moved into this five house.
And it was also prosperous and different. Five is the number of. I think of it kind of like as a celebration. It's a great number. So I love the number five. But also the pentagram is a very beautiful five pointed star.
And let me say that this is what's so amazing about this eight year variable that it takes the five different times.
If you go back eight years from this point in time when Venus is retrograde, you'll arrive at 2017.
And Venus was retrograde almost the same day, direct almost the Same day in 2017 in the same area of the zodiac. And this happens every eight years. It's so perfect that it happens like this. As a matter of fact, I ran across in my computer the article I wrote in 2017 and I was flabbergasted by the exactness. And even the predictions I gave for the signs are identical. So that's just so I want you to go back to around March of 2017 and reflect on what happened before, if you can remember, because it will happen again. This will give you so many clues to understand what to expect. Now isn't that just truly phenomenal? I love that. And here's what you really need to know. What is this Venus retrograde going to do? For you. Well, retrogrades are also a time of reflection.
Review, reassessment. Because if you can go back and figure out what went wrong before, then you can correct it and improve and make life better. Venus is about love and marriage and relationships. So there's something that you can improve on and learn relationships during this time. And yes, many, many times when Venus is retrograde, there are instances of old relationships that return. And if they don't necessarily return, I guarantee you'll be thinking about something with an old relationship and what you've gathered and learned from it to improve your life today. We should always be improving and growing and advancing and getting better every way in our life. Not just with intelligence, but in relationships. The older we get, the wiser we get, because we've learned from past experiences. This is what it's all truly about.
So what I am looking at is Venus will really.
Teach us about opening our heart, how to open the heart. And another thing I see about this Venus retrograde.
I haven't yet mentioned, and that is.
That Jupiter sits in Taurus right now while Venus is in Pisces. Well, in Vedic astrology, Jupiter rules Pisces. We use the old rulerships and Venus rules, of course, Venus, Jupiter being in Venus's sign, Taurus is ruled by Venus. So we have this exchange of signs. Jupiter in Venus's sign by being in Taurus and Venus in Pisces being in Jupiter sign, they exchange signs. So what happens in this mutual reception, or what we call it in Vedic astrology, Parivartana, this means that they are united and Jupiter expands and makes things bigger and grander and better opportunities. Whereas Venus is love, relationships, marriage and the arts and beauty. All of these things are magnified during this time that Venus is in Pisces and Jupiter's in Taurus. Now Jupiter is going to change out of Taurus May 14th. So this mutual exchange is good all the way till May 14, because remember, Venus stays in Pisces till May 31. But overall, this expands the level of awareness with love and relationships and healing. The most of all, if there is a problem, if you're currently in a relationship that needs healing, this is the time of reflection and getting to the bottom of things. And remember, in a relationship, you cannot always be blaming the other person for everything. You've got to look within your heart and your soul to see what you are doing that is a part of it. Because there's always two signs, sides to a coin. Please look and see how you can heal your relationships now as you heal Yourself, you heal relationships because relationships are always a reflection in some way of ourselves. We wouldn't be attracted or drawn to that individual if there wasn't a resonance, a vibrational frequency that brought you together.
All right? And as our vibrational frequencies do change sometimes, so do our relationships. So that's part of it as well. Now, as I said, I want to go over how this Venus, retrograde in the sign of Pisces, will affect all of you in accordance to your sidereal Vedic moon ascendant. Now, you cannot be looking at your Western. It makes me laugh at people. Do it. I tell people over and over again, do not use your Western sun signs. It's wrong. If you want to know your Vedic sidereal moon sign and Ascendant, which are the points I want you to look at in order to get, to get what this is telling you, go to my website, GalacticPlanner.com. i have a free chart calculator there. Scroll to the bottom where it says as and mo. As is Ascendant, mo is Moon. Better yet, get my planner, the Galactic Planner. It gives you a whole printout and explicitly tells you what your moon sign is in your Ascendant sign. You can't go wrong with the planner. And that is GalacticPlanner.com. okay, but let me give you the lowdown on this. And the planner actually does all this for you. But for those of you that don't have it, here is a little taste of what you can get. And I'm looking at if your Ascendant or your moon are insiderial Aries, then this indicates this is the time of a possible return of an old love. And, you know, I say an old love, an old flame. It could even be from a past life. It's like when you meet somebody and all of a sudden you're like, so familiar. Do I know this person? Yeah, probably you've been together in a past life. But it will return these old, comfortable feelings of the past, sentimental feelings of relationships and love. And please pay attention. With an older sibling could bring a healing, and you could acquire new friends, an association, and you could even have a child getting Married this year if you're old enough.

And your learning will take on a new level of information. And you'll be wanting to learn more about spirituality and truth. You will have a very lucky year ahead for you. If your Moon or your Ascendant sit insidereal Leo, then your Venus is in the eighth house. And this simply means you are going to have some radical changes and transformations in your life. Something about inner search and an inner journey that will transform you. It is very much a deep reflection and.
Internal time for change. And you know, this could be a time that great wealth is and money can come to you through others, through marriage or inheritances.
If your Moon or your Ascendant sits insidereal Virgo, then Venus is in your seventh house. And this will represent this is your time for love and romance. My goodness. You could fall in love with someone, somebody new. It will be exciting. It will be.
I mean, this is it. This is the time. If you're not in a relationship, you better get out and get busy and go to all the social events you can because you're going to meet somebody, you're going to fall in love. You will have a relationship beyond belief. And it could even be that you could recommit or reconnect with your partner that you currently have. And your partner could as well have a very successful year.
If your Moon or your Ascendant sit inside your Libra, then this means Venus is in your sixth house. And your focus will be about wellness and getting healthy. And there could even be some major physical healings during this time. Your work conditions will improve and bring success. You will probably change some of your bad habits which will change your appearance.

And this means it's time to go out and date. 5th house can deal with dating, opening your heart, love and romance. There may be new adventures with fun and excitement. And you might find that you have a good sense of security during this time. Your home is beautiful. You love decorating. You might even buy a new home.

New communication skills open up. This can create sales in your business. You're celebrating with a sibling. Travel is fun and it can bring new opportunities.
If your Ascendant or your moon sign sits in sidereal Aquarius, then Venus is in your second house. And this will accentuate your financial matters. You will be able to produce more money. This will be amazing. There is a sudden windfall of wealth that comes unexpectedly.
You have a gift with words. Use them wisely.
If your moon or your Ascendant sit insiderial Pisces, then this is a new beginning for you. You're feeling happy, optimistic, and you get to manifest more things you've been wanting. This is a time of improved sense of self, self confidence and the way you look. When will change you will create new a new way of looking change. The way you wear your hair, the way you wear your clothes, colors you're even drawn to will change. Your appearance will change and you will become more magnetic and more attractive. So this is what we're looking forward to with this Venus retrograde. See, retrogrades aren't bad. People think of them as being bad. In Vedic astrology, we actually look at retrogrades as being empowering the planet. Because remember, when a planet is retrograde, it is closer to the Earth. So it becomes more powerful and more visible. But here is what I need for you to know about this. It's so amazing about Venus that.
It is a time to rethink how you feel about love and marriage and relationship. This is all changing for you.
And it is a time of healing relationships. It is an opportunity.
When a planet goes retrograde, it's a time to rehash, review, revisit, reflect. And that leads always to healing, which creates betterment for you and your world. So with that, I think I'd like to close. Remember, if this has inspired you to want to learn Vedic astrology, I have the most magnificent online self paced school. You can join anytime.
