Why October 1st–8th Will Be the Most Intense Week of the Month | Vedic Astrology

Hi, I'm Joni Patry, and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, I'm here to talk about October, and what we're going to be focusing in on The first week, October 1st through the 8th. Since we have 31 days in October, I'm going to run it over more than 7 days. So this is going to be October 1st through the 8th. And what I'm doing here is I'm watching the planets. I'm right here looking at my computer screen, and I'm telling you where the planets are moving each day of the month. And this is so valuable for you to be able to gauge what's going on in the world and how you can better direct your own life based on this. Now, wherever the moon is each day is going to tell me so much about what is actually the feel in the world, because this is definitely the trends and how the masses are feeling. Because the moon represents the mass consciousness of people, the moon represents the public people. So that's why I'm focusing Focusing on where the moon moves each day and the phases of the moon, very, very important in astrology. So one thing I want to add— now I'm in Dallas, Dallas Central Time Zone, Dallas, Texas, so you're going to find that you could be by a few hours in a different time zone, so adjust your clocks. Another thing is if you want to know how each day is affecting you Personally, according to your own birth chart. In other words, we place all of these transiting planets in your birth chart to see how each day affects you, which will be entirely different than, you know, your next-door neighbor or anyone else in the world, because it's your own personal birth chart that you're focused on, where the planets are transiting, even the Moon. But I guarantee you, you're going to love it. All right, getting on with what's going on. October 1st, a Thursday, the Moon is in Taurus. And that's the favorite place for the Moon to be because it's exalted there. It's even in its favorite nakshatra, which is Rohini. But you know, I don't think Venus and Mercury are placed properly from the Moon. They're actually in the 6th house from the Moon if I count signs, and that's a little bit disruptive. I'm really going to be focusing a lot on Venus and Mercury this whole month. Why? Because they both turn retrograde this month, and Venus is really going to give us some serious different things to look at. I'm going to inform you about this each day because Venus is about to go retrograde. And not only that, what I want you to know is the first week is going to be— I think the first and the last week are going to be the most intense in October. There are so many aspects patterns forming this first week. It's remarkable. And this means a lot of events will be occurring this week regardless if it's the 1st or the 8th. This whole week we have these patterns. So looking at the 1st, everything's starting to line up. If you will notice— well, you can't see it, but I can— the 1st, the 2nd, and the 3rd of October We have Mercury, Mars, Pluto, and even Neptune all around the same degree. They're all forming aspects right now. So this day, really, I'm looking at the 1st, it's here on the 2nd as well, but we have Mars lining up to oppose Pluto. We have Mars squaring Mercury. We have Mars in a trine to Neptune, but it is— Mars is in a quincunx to Neptune. Yes. No, Mercury is in a quincunx to Neptune. Excuse me. So this is where it's all coming together. Things are happening on the 1st, the 2nd, and the 3rd. All of these patterns are formed and forming and staying pretty much in place. So let me see. So looking at this, this is a day of travels. This is a day of information, communications. The Jupiter-Mars are in the 3rd from the Moon. 3rd house is all about communications. But let me tell you something. Mars is starting to align with Jupiter, and Mars coming together with Jupiter, this will make big blowups. And with Mars opposing Pluto, angry blowups. This is the first and the second. Let me assure you of this because Mars is actually debilitated while it is in Cancer. And Mars represents anger, violence. And here's another thing, sometimes Jupiter with it can expand it, but as the rules go, a planet that's debilitated next to an exalted planet will improve the debilitated planet. But I don't like the aspects. Mars is squaring Mercury. This is really on October 1st and the 2nd. And we also have— and you know, Mercury's communications. Be careful what you say on this day. And Mercury and Venus are traveling in the nakshatra called Swati, which is the communicator in business. But realize, with Mars aspect here, It's a problem. Let me go ahead and move this forward to the 2nd, because the 2nd is the day that all these planets are in perfect alignment that I'm talking about, where Mercury will be squaring Mars, or Mars squaring Mercury. Either way, that is exact. And Mars is aggressive, conflicting. And Mercury is communication, so you don't want to plan any great business meetings that you want things to go well because people will not agree. This is a problem. And also Neptune is in a perfect quincunx, which is an 8-6 relationship in Vedic astrology called the Shastaka. Cynoquin comes to Mercury. Mercury is critical. It's aspected by Mars and critically aspected by Neptune. Neptune can mean deception, deceit, denial, issues and problems that you can't see the truth. And Mercury is in Libra about— let's just face it, Libra is the sign that deals with negotiations. It's an air sign, so it's communications, negotiations, Peace. There's going to be lots of peace talks, but will they come past? Not with Mars and Neptune aspecting Mercury at the same time. And don't forget, Mars is opposed Pluto today. What is that? Pluto is control, manipulation. Pluto is major transformation, but it definitely It's like an extreme Mars, if you want to really look at it, that's over the top, that can deal with explosive events. That's what I'm trying to say. While Mars aspects Pluto, explosive events. So you know what? You're going to want to know if you have any planets around the 7-8 degree marker. Yes, 8 degrees Cancer, Libra— Libra's where Mercury is— as well as Capricorn. And, you know, even where Neptune is in Pisces, there's issues, there's problems. Now, the other thing is, is that Neptune is actually in a trinal aspect to Mars. So, you know, that's not so bad, but I gotta say, Mars is critically placed where it is from all the other planets, really. So it's not congruent. There's issues, there's problems on October 1st and 2nd for sure. Now, the Moon on this day— I got so sidetracked at where all the planets were that I forgot about the Moon being in Gemini, which is the sign that makes you want to communicate more. But I'm telling you, the communications are going to go haywire. It's not a day for negotiations. And furthermore, let me just say Libra is the sign that deals with peace and justice. Why? The symbol is the scales. Don't forget, that's the symbol for Libra. So the moon is in the nakshatra called Mrigashira. Which is the nakshatra of seeking and searching for things. And this is what people will be looking for answers and seeking. This Jupiter-Mars are in the 2nd house from the Moon, so it's what people are seeking and looking and argumentative about is the economy. What's going on with the prices of things? People Are not happy, not with Mars opposed Pluto and squaring Mercury. So that's Friday, October 2nd. Now let's look at Saturday, October 3rd. This is the day Venus turns retrograde. Let me tell you a little bit about this. So if you are wondering how this retrograde is going to go for you, it's very important that you consider the fact that Venus has this incredible cycle. It— in an 8-year period, it will turn retrograde 5 times, and it completes this cycle forming a pentagram, a 5-pointed Star in the sky. Very symbolic. So what I want you to do— Venus goes retrograde, by the way, the least out of all the planets, so it's really important when it is retrograde. The beautiful thing about this is it is in Libra, one of Venus's favorite signs to be in. Libra is the sign of compromise and negotiation, relationships, right? But if you go back 8 years ago, you are going to find that Venus would be exactly about the same degree and the same day turned retrograde. Isn't that fascinating? It has this specific cycle. So if you will go back to 2018, you're going to find what happened to you before will happen to you again. October 2018, anything significant come to mind? If it does, you're going to have a similar result because Venus turned retrograde about the same degree, about the same day. This is all part of these beautiful cycles the planets are forming that make such a difference in our lives. So Venus— Venus rules love and romance too. I've been talking so much about peace, and that's what's trying to be negotiated, but love and romance. So if you've started any kind of relationship or something around 2018, in October it's going to happen again. And the other thing is, when Venus goes retrograde, it usually brings back old flames or old relationships. So Venus is going to be retrograde— let's see here— from October 3rd through November 13th. And what happens is it's going to be in Libra pretty much this whole month. It will go into Virgo in November, November 5th through the 21st. It'll retrograde back into Virgo, but it will come back into Libra again November 21st through January 1st. This is unusual that Venus is in a sign this long. So let me repeat this. Venus will be in Libra From September 2nd till November 5th, and then it goes into Virgo. But then November 21st through January 1st, it's back in Libra. So Libra is the most powerful sign aside from Pisces and Taurus. And in my opinion, Venus in Libra is my favorite. Why? Because it's graceful, it's beautiful, It deals with the arts the most. Well, Pisces does too, but I just love Venus in Libra because it deals with social events, parties, celebrating, things like that. So Venus in Libra is very powerful retrograde and should bring back— even if there's nobody that you would like to return into a relationship with, and probably you're in a serious relationship So you're not thinking about that, but you'll find that old memories will come during this time, just memories of the good times in love and romance. And here's another thing I want you to remember about this. Even if these times weren't so good, you're going to start processing different scenarios on what you've learned through love, marriage, and relationship while Venus is retrograde. Remember, its retrograde process in and of itself, not the sign that it's in, is going to be from October 3rd to November 13th. This is where the feelings, memories of old relationships, and/or people could actually return, and a healing process thinking about what you've learned through relationships occurs. So this is the Venus, this is the day it turns retrograde. All right, so the Moon will still be in Gemini and it will be in the nakshatra called Ardra. Ardra's symbol, I always say this, is a teardrop. There's something about Ardra that can deal with sadness, but more than anything, it does deal with storms. Okay, now one thing I do notice, thinking back of the whole first 3 days of October and including today, is that Jupiter is crossing over the previous eclipse degree at 25 degrees Of Cancer. This is huge, really. It's a big deal. So there can be some positive events transpiring during this time. And yes, this is— there's a lot of hope and a good feel that's happening, even though we have this crazy pattern of aspects in the heavens during this time. So So yeah, and it is a day also of creative talent, opening up your mind to be more creative. The way that Mercury and Venus sit relative to the Moon, they're in a trine. Now let's go to October 4th. It's a Sunday, and the Moon has now entered into Cancer. This is a big, big deal. Why? Because it's aligning with the Mars and Jupiter. And looking at this, I mean, this is a powerful time for finding your sense of security. That's what— that's basically what Cancer is all about, and finding your connection with family. But I find that when the Moon and Mars do collide together, which they are on this Sunday, be aware that people will be more argumentative, more combative, disagreeable. I don't like that, but you know, there's a lot going on today, so take it easy. Let's see, so October 4th, we also have the Sun is opposed Saturn exactly, and that's not an easy aspect either. It's— there's a seriousness, a heaviness in the air, and anything to do with feeling your sense of ego, it's like there's a lot of criticism going on. Sun in Virgo but Saturn opposing it, a lot of people playing the victim. There's a heaviness going on in the world around this time. Maybe it's because of a events dealing with violence and upsets with the Mars-Pluto that happened the first 3 days. But the Sun-Saturn, and this is heavy, it's a, it's a day that emotionally people are, are weighted down. Another thing is Mercury is in an exact quincunx With Uranus. Uranus, they're, they're both 11 degrees. Uranus, 11 degrees of Taurus. Mercury, 11 degrees of Libra. And this 6-8 relationship always has to do with something that is not working. It's like there's, there's just this— something is not right. Underneath the surface, we feel it. We know it. We we're not sleeping too peacefully. Something's about to happen. That's how it all feels, or it's the uncovering from the things that have just happened. Now the moon is in the just entered into the nakshatra mid midway through the day, Pushya. But it was in Purnavasu, the early part of the day. And Purnavasu means return of the light. It's like it feels so much better than Ardra. But Pushya means we got to start considering what makes us feel secure and good and relating and finding peace with our families. So important on this Sunday, October 4th. Now let's look at October 5th. This is a Monday, and Mars will be more in alignment with the Moon. The Moon will have crossed over Mars— what am I saying? So the Moon is approaching Jupiter. The Moon is surrounded by Mars and Jupiter. It's right in between, and it's in the nakshatra Ashlesha. Ashlesha Yeah. And Ganesha deals with the sneakiness of the snake energy, can deal with a lot of healing. But this is intense where the Moon is in Cancer with Jupiter and Mars. Crazy things are happening and we are not feeling safe, we are not feeling secure. And let me see, on the 5th there's not any special aspects, but But everything's really within a degree, all these heavy-duty aspects. And Venus is stationed, stationed turning retrograde this whole first week of October. Now Venus and Mercury go to the 4th house from the Moon today and yesterday, and this tells me that you might find it's a good time to redecorate Decorate your home, organize things in the house, get things the way you like them, beautify things in your home with Venus being retrograde. Now I'm looking at October 6th. This is Tuesday, and the Moon will have moved into Leo, and it is approaching Ketu, and it is a closing We're closing out dark moon. It's a few days before the new moon. So when we have this waning moon that is closing in on the sun, it's like a time to lay low. I don't recommend anybody starts anything new on the day— few days before the new moon because the moon is considered to be dark. And not only that, it is lining up with Ketu, which is not a good thing at all for, um, yeah, for, for anything except for introspection and spirituality. That's what this is good for, and deep, deep, dark introspection. The Moon is in the nakshatra Magha. I love this nakshatra. It's about kingship and royalty, and the Moon-Ketu could be something about royals or people come to our attention that are leaders that may have to change their plan. Yes, this is sort of a crisis, if I could say. But yes, this Moon in Magha, another thing that when Ever Magha and the Moon with Ketu, it's a time that we look back at our heritage, people that have come before us, and possibly our old relatives that have passed on. It's time to pay homage to them and honor them and praise them for what they have done to create the world you are in. And I don't mean the negative, I mean the positive. All right, so let's see. And Mercury is on this day going to be exactly conjunct Venus. So in Vedic astrology, this is usually looked at as called uda, which is planetary war, meaning they're fighting for the attention. They both want the attention. So sometimes these planets are kind of weakened And it is about trying to be recognized for what you have to say during this time because Mercury is there with Venus. Venus is retrograde, and you know what? When planets are retrograde, they're actually closer to the Earth and more powerful. So I think Venus wins out, but it is a time for social events with Mercury-Venus together. All right, so now I'm looking at October 7th, and this is a Wednesday, and the Moon is in Leo, and it shifted into Purva Phalguni, the most expressive nakshatra of all. So it is a day of self-expression and creativity because this Venus and Mercury are actually in the 3rd house from the Moon, and the Moon being in Leo It needs to express itself, put things out there. So do some writing, some journaling, self-expression. Communicate with your partner, tell them what you appreciate about them while Venus is retrograde in Libra. Very auspicious. And let's see, it is still the dark moon. Okay, it's before the Full moon. I mean the new moon, which is actually going to be on the tenth. So this moon with K two behind the sun, it's dark. Finish up old projects. That's what it's good for. Not creating new ones. Not till after the new moon. So now I'm looking at October eighth. It's a Thursday, and the moon has. Crossed over Ketu. It is still in Leo for most of the day. By the late evening, it will be in Virgo. And it's— but while it's here, it's in the nakshatra Uttara Phalguni. And actually, I forgot to mention, the Phalgunis both deal with marriage and relationships. So this is a time of mending and coming together with relationships with others, especially in marriage. And with Venus retrograde, it's a time to reflect and review everything concerning your relationships and marriage. And if you're looking for a relationship, usually Venus can bring people back, but still, all in all, it is a— it's an interesting time. You could form a relationship, especially when the moon is in the nakshatra Purva Urtara Phalguni. But it is a dark moon. I'd wait a little bit personally till we, we get past the new moon. So this covers the entire first 8 days of the month, and so much is going on. Don't you see that? Everything is getting ready to be heated up for what's to come in November. The end of this month is going to start showing up. We're going to see the changes that we need. And of course, changes in this lifetime, in this day and age, are never easy and comfortable. They're like a birth— they're painful but necessary to start anew. So with that, I've covered the first week.
