It was like the perfectionism that was already sort of part of my nature became overpowering. And, um, I just tried to be really perfect. I became the captain of the UCLA dance team. I was on TV every week. I was on magazine covers, became an actress. I was on TV. And I thought all these accomplishments would make me feel happy, that if I could make my life look really happy on the outside, I would start to feel happy on the inside. But really, my inner state was just like I was pretending all the time, just pretending to be happy. And at a certain point, I got kind of all the things that were on my vision board. I was a series regular on TV. I was in every episode episode of this show, going to set every day. I was married. I had all the things I thought I wanted, and I was so unhappy. And it was like a dam just broke within me, and the trauma that I hadn't processed came up, needed to be healed. And I spent some really intense years in a healing journey.
