When they opened the wall, the entire backside was covered in black fungus, even though the surface looked fine. The project shows how severe mold can hide completely out of sight.

So I looked through the scope of work. Nothing really struck me as out of the ordinary. It looked pretty standard, all the scopes of work that I would see at my dad's office. And then, of course, the mold report that showed all these different levels of mold and bacteria. And I was like, how could that be? These are off the charts. I told her, you know, this is my first project ever, right? So I told her, listen, I don't understand this fully, but what I do know is we have to set up engineering controls and containment. We have to open this wall and see what's going on. And she agreed. So I gave her a price of what it would cost for the labor materials to do all of this work. And when I opened that wall for the first time blew my mind because the wall looked like, just like the wall behind me, it was perfectly white. You would have never guessed there was a problem. And as soon as you cut into it and saw behind it, the entire backside of the drywall was covered in black fungus. And then the wall itself
