A New Way to Heal the Gut-Brain Axis

You developed this very interesting device that actually shines light on your forehead, Right. With the goal is to target a brain and then another, like a waistband to shine light into your abdomen. So tell me your thought process of bringing these two together. I started initially thinking about the brain because the first study that I got involved with was actually a Parkinson's study, and they were using a big helmet that was big, heavy device, and it was really uncomfortable. And then I thought, okay, we need something that's a little bit simpler than this. So that was my original thought. But then as I started to get more into the study of gut brain connection, it's so simple just to have a little panel that goes over the gut, and potentially, you know, that's so much more effective to do both together, because you can shine light onto the brain where you need it, but you're also treating the gut bacteria at the same time. If you can reduce inflammation in the gut, you can reduce inflammation in the brain, and then you've got a much better chance of having a more efficacious treatment.
