Honest Feedback on Tony Robbins' "Life Force" | Part 4 | Dr. Joy Kong, Stem Cell Specialist

Dr. Joy Kong, a stem cell specialist, corrects Tony Robbins' book Life Force on cord blood. Cord blood contains only 0.1 to 2.01% mesenchymal stem cells, while the cord tissue itself is a richer source. Cord blood remains valuable for other cell types used in regenerative therapies.

Hi, this is Dr. Joy Kong. And as you know, I'm very passionate about stem cell therapy here. I want to continue my review of Tony Robbins book Life Force. So in his chapter 15, there's a section talking about core blood stem cells. And I think the author was confused about really what the composition of cord blood cells are because he was talking about mesenchymal stem cells and actually umbilical cord blood, which is the blood that flows through the arteries and vein that's in the umbilical cord. It has very few mesenchymal stem cells, you know, called MSCS. So the composition of MSCS in the cord blood is only 0.1 2.01% of the total number of cells. And that's very similar to the bone marrow composition. But if you want to get high amount of mesenchymal stem cells, you really need to go into the core tissue, which are the gelatinous material that's wrapping around the blood vessels. And in those tissues, you actually have very rich supply of mics. So these mesenchymal stem cells you can extract and and utilized for all kinds of conditions, as research have shown. So research from around the world have looked at autoimmune diseases, musculoskeletal repair or organ repair. Vast number of cases. If you're interested, you can take a look at the academy I founded on the website. It's called aaiict.org There are different clinical excerpts of research, also case studies of using MSCs, actually a combination of cells. But MSCS is the, you know, main driving force for these repair jobs. So you will see a lot of examples. But I just want to correct people because people think that cord blood is the source of the mscs, and really it's a pool source of mscs. But does it contain important cells? It does a lot of mononuclear cells, which are immature immune cells. It also contains hematopoietic progenitor cells, which can form all the bloodlines. And it also has fibroblasts, endothelial progenitor cells. So all these are important, which is actually why when I conduct stem cell therapy, not only I utilize mscs, but also these other cells. So I think it's important to have a comprehensive profile of cells because they all have their own function and they actually work synergistically together. So this is one, you know, perspective I want to share that cord blood, as important and helpful it is it is a poor source of mesenchymal stem cells. And since we're talking about mesenchymal stem cells so much these days because it's considered this master of regeneration, but is rich in umbilical cord tissue but also amniotic membrane if we're looking at the birth tissue source. So I just want to give people that that information and hope you find helpful. And if you enjoy all this information information, please subscribe to my channel and like the video and share it with people that may really benefit from a fuller understanding of of stem cell therapy. So thank you again.
