Joy Kong argues molecular hydrogen protects cells from radiation damage, citing experiments where it prevented 90% of chemotherapy destruction. She proposes it could shield astronauts from space radiation, where 24 hours equals roughly six months of Earth exposure, making Mars travel feasible.

Hydrogen has been shown to be extremely protective. That's one of my favorite things about it because our bodies are being bombarded with so many chemicals and crazy things these days. They showed cells being exposed to like chemotherapy and they were getting like 90% cellular destruction which is obviously really bad. Even radiation. Like everybody's concerned about emf. Like I don't even worry about it really. Yeah, I don't even worry about it. And because it's been shown to protect you against radiation people don't realize that if you're in outer space the amount of radiation that you get in a 24 hour period is equivalent to the amount of radiation you get on planet Earth for half a year in just 24 hours. Right. How in the world are you going to make it to Mars Elon? Right. Without hydrogen? I believe that you can do it with hydrogen. This is a technology that's going to transform the world. I know it.
