Joy Kong, MD explains why mitochondria matter for health. When mitochondria die or malfunction, inflammation and chronic disease follow. The analogy: a house built on straw versus brick. Surface-level fixes don't work if your foundation is broken.
Mitochondria are responsible for.
Everything in our life. The powerhouses. Everything we do is based on mitochondria and is the root of all problems. Inflammation doesn't occur until the mitochondria start dying off and getting not working and functioning at the highest level. Then inflammation comes in all the diseases and chronic diseases. So our belief is mitochondria is where the action's at.
Yeah, Foundational. And that's actually what helps build testosterone and hormones regulatory and producing them. It's like I have a house and all I do is I look at the inside. Man, those curtains are beautiful. Let's get a new couch. We all rush out for these different supplements, but we never really look. What is my foundational structure? You know, what does it look like? What am I built of straw? Am I brick? What am I on? Am I going to crumble? And unfortunately, most of us are. Our foundations are crumbling because we're not supporting them and we don't know where to start.
