Red Light Therapy Benefits - Trifecta Light Bed | Dr. Carl Rothschild on The Dr. Joy Kong Podcast

Podcast interview (Dec 14, 2023) on red light therapy with host Dr. Joy Kong and guest Dr. Carl Rothschild. Core claims: near‑infrared + red light (photobiomodulation) stimulate mitochondria to increase ATP production, producing broad healing effects across skin, fat, pain, neurological and autoimmune conditions. Dr. Rothschild describes clinical anecdotes (Parkinson’s, heart failure, Lyme, psoriasis, Crohn’s, renal failure, vision, erectile function), fat‑loss via increased adipocyte porosity, and device/design rationale for a full‑body Trifecta Light bed (close canopy, no heat, pulsed 528 Hz option). He cites research access via Google Scholar (term: photobiomodulation) and asserts long-term safety with few contraindications.

It's really important to utilize the near infrared in your red light devices.
The real healing element of this therapy is near infrared. The truth of the matter is that what we've taken is sunlight and magnified it thousands and thousands of times and drive it into the body safely, and that's where the impact is.
I always believe the energy medicine is the next stage in the evolution of medicine, and I do utilize it in my clinic when I do stem cell therapy. I put the cells under red light to activate them.
Imagine this wonderfully natural mechanism of healing the body. So it's all about the mitochondria. It's all about red light and near infrared stimulating that mitochondria to come back to life, to come back to health.
Hi, everybody. I am so excited to be back with you. This is Dr. Joy Kong podcast, and as you know, I bring to my show some of the top thought leaders, inventors, scientists, doctors, or people just, you know, has lots of life and a lot of helpful things to offer to enhance your physical and mental health. So today I am going to cover a subject that I think is going to fascinate you, and I have one of the best person there is to enlighten you on the subject of red light therapy. So, Dr. Carl Rothschild, thank you for being here and welcome.
I. I'm very appreciative of having this opportunity to talk to your audience.
Amazing. Yeah. So, you know, there's a lot of interest and hype about red light therapy. Seems like, you know, lots of people have gotten a device and lots of buzz. So I can't wait to get it from someone that's a super expert who has been utilizing red light for 25 years. Right, and you've been a chiropractor for 45 years, then you got into rhyolite therapy. Maybe you can tell us a little bit, what even gotten you into it?
I started chiropractic school, what, 50 years ago, whatever it was. So I've been doing natural healing and involved with natural healing for a very long time. And I've had 15 practices. I've lectured all over the country. My goal was always to help people. I mean, as corny as that sounds, I had many options, but I loved it. I was intrigued by the chiropractic profession because it was exactly what my parents didn't want me to do. And here I was a kid, but that wasn't the main reason at the time. A friend of mine, we traveled all over the country, and every time we went, after I graduated undergraduate school, we would just go from city to city and I would call up the chiropractors because that was what I was intrigued with. And every time I called the chiropractor, none of them ever said anything other than they loved their profession. I said, if I can make some money and help people and have something that's so wonderful, I want to do that. I didn't know how controversial chiropractic was really, but when you go up against drugs and surgery, you're going to have a challenge. And I'm not against drugs and surgery and chiropractors in general or not. It's just not maybe as a first resort. So now moving right along, about 25 years ago, I was introduced to what was in the chiropractic profession, a fairly famous chiropractor. So if you're not a chiropractor, you wouldn't know who this guy is. But Dr. Leonard Fay and I were introduced to light therapy and I was very skeptical. But Dr. Fay, who's from another country, Europe, they're much more open to alternative health care because their types of care is called socialized medicine. And their intention is more to get people well than to make a lot of money. Whether, you know, I'm not going to get political now, but that's always been a challenge for anything in my industry. Because you're going up against. Well, give an example. I'm telling you that this red light therapy is unbelievable and we'll get more involved with that. But even back then, when I first started getting involved with light therapy with Dr. Fey. No, really, nobody was doing it. If I went to a chiropractic convention or any convention of any healthcare providers, there would be nothing about red light therapy. And now if I go, we're going to be going to the A4M in a month, I think it is now. So if any of you want to come to a 4M in Vegas, we'll have our equipment there. There's going to be tons about red light therapy. So how does something like that happen? Because I can tell you that 25 years ago, the equipment was good and our results were fair to good. It wasn't outrageous. But as it got more and more popular and then they got stronger and stronger devices, the first device that we brought into the country was a class one. The entire device was about 90 milliwatts. To give you a perspective, the device that we currently have manufactured and are suggesting is 140,000 times stronger. You might get an idea that, wow, maybe we'll have more of an impact on the body, and we do so. About 12 years ago, it was discovered that there was an element of red light that actually made the fat cell wall more porous in the body. Didn't harm it, didn't do anything bad to it, but it helped and assisted with fat loss. Again, it's completely healthy. There's nothing wrong with it. In contrast, we're not freezing the fat and killing fat cells. We're not boiling the fat or heating the fat to kill fat cells. We're not using ultrasonic cavitation or radio frequency that some of you people have heard about. Also about destroying tissue. Not interested in destroying tissue. I'm a natural healer, not about hurting anything. And I believe that the fat cells are essential tissue. In fact, we know it is. I wouldn't want to destroy it. So here we have a fully intact, wonderful, healthy fat cell, but smaller. And I'm not going to go through the whole process of how that happens now, but the fat cell is completely healthy, the body is not injured in any way. And yet still, if you take a natural, a what we call a calorically neutral diet and add it to red light therapy with a certain wavelength that we have, we actually see some significant fat loss. And when they combine it together. I've been involved with the fat loss industry forever. Not way before even when I became a chiropractor, I was involved with that. And I know the head of somebody who's obsessed with food and or can't lose it. When you can take an easy diet, relatively easy diet that's healthy, and combine it with red light, it's very wonderful. And that's why I got involved with manufacturing. Up until that point, I was very involved with equipment in general and was working with companies and stuff like that. But when I learned 12 something years ago that there was an element of red light that shrank fetzos, I said, that's for me, I want to get even more involved. And I wanted to have the best. So I started getting involved with manufacturing, and that's what I did. And so for your audience to know, red light itself is somewhat healing, but it's beautiful with the fat loss. The real healing element of this therapy is near infrared. And so if you don't mind for a second, I wanted to talk about infrared in general. When someone said they have an infrared sauna or they have an infrared toaster a bit, whatever it is, that's about heat. That's a lovely form of deep penetrating heat. But the next day, no difference. You know, you're not going to see a major cellular change. But near infrared, which is a different wavelength or an area of way, a region of wavelength, that's the miraculous wavelength. And I've been working with that for 25 years. That's why I didn't know about the red light. None of us knew about the red light. But there was another company that was using red light for healing. Big mistake. But they are the ones that found out that the red light did fat loss. Now, I just want to talk about the healing aspect of near infrared again. When you talk about far infrared, lovely heat, actually, heat is the enemy for us. We don't want heat. You want a cool burning, so to speak. Light, a lot of power, but not heat. Could be mildly warm, not hot. So why is that significant? Well, they didn't know in the beginning why it would be so significant, but NASA and some of the other researchers started 50 years ago with an element of figuring out what wavelengths of light might help with the body, that you'd already decided maybe there were some elements, and it really is elements of sunlight. And know there's all the histories of hundreds and hundreds of years ago and. And ever since that our medical type people, our healers would suggest, why don't you sit out in the sun? And it had some element of. Of truth. The truth of the matter is that what we've taken is sunlight and magnified it thousands and thousands of times and drive it into the body safely. And that's where the impact is. You can't imagine the kind of results and success that we're hearing about.
So you're saying that the red light you use, you actually, it's really important to utilize the near infrared in your red light devices. Do all the red light therapy utilize that near infrared section?
No, but. But I will tell you that my company 12 years ago was the first one to integrate red and near infrared. Near infrared for healing, it doesn't really do anything to the fat loss. And red for fat loss. And red is also somewhat healing. So when you integrate both together, red and near infrared, that's the glory.
Okay.
We were doing lasers in the past. We were doing pads. There's something that some of the audience may have heard of, you may have even heard of. It's called Covid. Covid struck. And our practitioners came to us and said, you know, it'd really nice if we had a way of doing therapy with less physical contact between the provider and the patient. And we came up with the bed. Now, up until that point, there were a Couple of companies that were manufacturing beds and they didn't work very well. My life's been filled with good things. Good things like hyperbaric chamber, like whole body vibration, like spinal decompression, all these very good things. But it wasn't until we made this bed that we re entered a whole new arena of miraculous. And I don't know if doctors are allowed to say that term, so whatever you want to use. I mean, we couldn't believe what we were hearing when we came out with this bed. Reluctantly, I made the bed, remember? And all of a sudden we started getting feedback that was very surprising. Like this lady goes, my mother had Parkinson's and dementia. And after just two weeks on your bed, her quality of life has improved so dramatically that they don't have to put her in a home. They couldn't deal with her. Then we get this guy, his name is Arnett. The provider calls me up and says, tomorrow I have this guy coming in, and he's having heart attacks, averaging one, if not twice a week. I'd never heard of that. Once or twice a week. How does. And he was dying once or twice a week. And I said. And the guy said, should I even treat him? I don't want him having a heart attack in my office. I said, why don't you have him come in? Just treat him for five minutes. Normally a treatment is about 12 to 15 minutes. Just have him come in for five minutes and stay in the room the whole time. Next day, that patient, after the treatment, the day after the treatment, the patient calls and they get me on the line. And the patient starts telling me about how it changed his life. That one visit that night of the treatment. If I may tell your audience, he had his first erection. He hadn't had one in 13 years.
Wow.
His circulation's through the roof. I'll show you where your audience can watch these videos, and they are as striking and surprising to me as to anyone. If you want to kill off a body part, restrict blood flow to it, right? Put a turning around your leg, and if you don't let that go, you're going to lose that leg. So his entire body was like that. His circulation was miserable. His heart was failing terribly. And now his blood circulation, his blood pressure, his pulse, his. Everything is normal. And his body has come back to normal. So he has more energy than he knows what to do. So he goes into the church and he talks to his pastor and he says, remember me? I'm the one that had a heart attack in your church. And Then the parishioners would come up and they'd go, you look so different. You look like you found life. And he says, yep, red light therapy.
Yeah. So how do you think that worked in helping these people?
So every part of your body is made up of tissues, and every tissue is made up of cells, and every cell has within it this magical organelle they call it called mitochondria. Now, three, four years ago, you didn't hear the term mitochondria that often. Articles and magazine, now you're hearing about it a lot. And it comes down to mitochondrial dysfunction. And what they've discovered is that the mitochondria, when it's not, they're not functioning to the 100%, that's the beginning of disease and eventually death. And what the red light does. I'm sorry, what? The near infrared and red. When I say red light, I mean the combination of red and near infrared. What this red light therapy does is it sparks the mitochondria to come back to life. And there's absolute proof of that there. There's an element of, if you heard of cytochrome C oxidase, which is reflect, it actually reacts to sunlight. And the four wavelengths of light that we introduce to the body stimulates this within the whole mechanism. And it stimulates the mitochondria to do what they're supposed to do, which is to create an energy molecule that brings you healing. It's why we breathe oxygen and eat food. That oxygen and food helps to create this molecule called ATP. And that's what the mitochondria does. It stimulates and creates this ATP. And it's the ATP that brings life to your body, it heals your body, it does all that stuff. So imagine this wonderfully natural mechanism of healing the body. So it's all about the mitochondria. It's all about red light and near infrared stimulating that mitochondria to come back to life, to come back to health. Not about putting anything in the body that doesn't belong there. It's not about yanking anything out that does belong there. It's just all naturally bringing that wonderful ATP and mitochondria back to what it should be doing.
Okay, so you think the main mechanism is really to elevate the cellular energy throughout the body, in, in all our cells?
In essence, yes.
Okay. Which is why is being used for, for so many things. And I, I want to, I want to cover a little bit of some of the things that, that you've had experiences with and you can teach us About So one is just I guess simple anti aging benefits. Right. So so can you. A lot of people want to just stay young, live long.
Absolutely with anti aging. So that's why we have regenerative medicine facilities that know that red light's the way to go while we have stem cell guys that know that this is the way to go. So they still doing their stem cell and the regen locations are still doing their thing. They just add the red light therapy to their whole procedure and it will enhance your well being and health.
Yeah.
So anti aging is a very global kind of term. So let's talk about why we call it the trifecta. It's the face fat and healing, the triple effect of face fat and healing. So face is skin every from head to toe the skin is look going to look phenomenal. And I'm going to talk to you about that in a second. Fat we already talked about. Healing we already talked about. So let's talk about skin in general. There's a lady, her name is Jessica. She writes me a letter. It says her life was horrible. She had constant diarrhea for many years. But the essence was Lyme disease and contracted it many I think 10 years ago. And as she worded it, it ravaged her body, every organ gland. She felt like her whole body was falling apart. But in essence the core of the initial conversation I had with her was about psoriasis. So she had psoriatic arthritis, but she also had glutate and plaque psoriasis. So with the plaque psoriasis it was horrific. Across her forehead, everywhere she was had rashes. Her ears were constantly bleeding and raised and red. And in less than a month all of that was gone, even the psoriatic arthritis. So she had dactylitis which is a, they call it sausage toes. Where her toes were, were black and blue and swollen and they're all, everything's resolved. So we're talking about psoriasis, three types. We're talking about Lyme disease, we're talking about shingles, we're talking about thyroid. She was talking about cardiovascular problems. She was talking about that the psoriasis actually got into her eye and in one eye her. The pressure on this eye was close to 200 I think it was 180 to 200 and it's supposed to be closer to 15. And the treatment for that was an injection right into her eye. And she describes that as like horrendous. Not only is that $5,000 per injection, but horrendous. And she doesn't need that anymore. She doesn't have issues with any of the things I described. And she had migraines. I mean, most people only have one of these things. She had them all. So she had migraines that she doesn't have anymore. But the medication this was years ago she was taking for migraines actually created, made her become a stone maker is the way she described it. She would have kidney stones. Somebody would have one kidney stone in their life and it would be horrendous. She had hundreds of kidney stones that she would develop and she'd have to pass them through with unbelievable pain. Now she still makes those kidney stones, but there's no more pain associated with it. I'll tell everybody how they can get around to seeing these on. If they just go to YouTube and put in Trifecta Light Official, just that way, in one word, Trifecta light official in YouTube. That'll take them to the channel, YouTube channel. And just watch those videos. You'll see Arnett's video about his heart attack. You'll see Jessica's video. You'll see Gina's video about her Crohn's disease. You'll see Steve, who had 40 years of Lyme disease. Forty years, he contracted when he was 12. It ruined his childhood, it ruined his social life, it ruined his education, it ruined his career, everything. And he didn't know about red light therapy until he was in his 50s. And he gets in the bed and he gets out of the bed and he goes, I didn't notice any difference at all. And he dismissed it as phooey. And five hours later and ever since changed his life.
So interesting.
Then you know about. We have people talking to us about multiple sclerosis, of course, neuropathy, any orthopedic problem, Parkinson's, dementia, Alzheimer's, any autoimmune disease. I had a person come here to deliver. I have a bed here in my home because I'm 71 years old and I don't really have any issues. And guess what? I don't want any issues. So I get into bed three times a week because I don't want any issues. And he delivered this bed and I was talking to him, and I'm going to try to say this gingerly without upsetting the pharmaceutical industry. But he was saying, what could this do for his wife who has severe rheumatoid arthritis? And the copay for her medication was in the. I think it was almost $2,000 a month. And I said, and maybe I shouldn't say this too Loud. But he could have one of these beds for a lot less than that. And it would change her life. It would change her life. So diabetics, people on dialysis. We had a lady that had stage four renal failure, so she was about to lose her kidney. She thought she was stage three, but I looked at her medical blood studies and she was stage four. And now she's normal. She doesn't have any issues. She also had macular edema. And the treatment for that was also injection right into her eye. And she doesn't need that at all. In fact, she called me up. It didn't happen overnight. It took her a while, but she would go back to the doctor for she. She was getting the injections monthly. And she would go back after a month and after, with all the treatment and everything. And the guy said, no, you don't need it, but come back in another month. And again, she didn't need it. So she went six months without needing it. And he finally said, I guess you're okay. And the phrase that every one of these doctors always say is, wow, I guess you change your medication. That's good. Whatever medication you're using, that, that's great. And then the person has to say, actually, I'm not taking any medication. And then they would say, well, whatever you're doing, keep on doing. But what I really like them to say is, maybe I should learn more about this.
Exactly.
Well, not one of them.
Take a, you know, take. Takes a rare person, a rare doctor to actually want to.
We do have a bunch of medical doctors, but, you know, to give you an example, with an orthopedist, if I would go to an orthopedist, that one doesn't work real well because I would say, hey, come over here. I want to teach you how I can help you make less money. That doesn't work. But if I go, you know, natural healers, acupuncturist, chiropractors, nurse practitioners have been great with this. We don't have a million of them, but they have a much broader license. They have allowance of. And they attract. As a chiropractor, I didn't attract a lot of people with Parkinson's and stuff like that, but people are nurse practitioners. For example, they might. And so we have a nurse practitioner here over in Van Nuys, California. And he was telling me about this guy that has multiple sclerosis. And what we've learned is that it's probably not going to reverse what the person has, but it's going to halt it. So we're noticing. So when that guy with the multiple sclerosis went to have me checked out and they did the. I guess they did an mri, they said there's no activity. And he was thrilled by that. It's not that it was reversed, but it's halted the progression. And that's the horror of these kind of diseases where it eats away tissue. So it's like a cavity where it's eating away that tissue. I don't think we're going to be able to regrow that or regain that, but at least we can halt the progression. So we have another guy. He has this disease called L, H, O, N. I don't think anyone ever heard of it. It's called Lieber's hereditary optic neuropathy. I hadn't heard of it. It's a rare hereditary disease that does. Similar to how described with multiple sclerosis, where it eats away, but in this case, the retina of your eye. And so he was going blind centrally. And it didn't start until he was halfway. I think he was in his last year of college. So he was like 19, 20, 21, something like that. And that's when he started seeing his vision start fading. Went to the doctor and they explained what was happening. His retina was starting to progressively get worse. Eventually he only had peripheral vision and eventually that would go away as well. Then he found his way to a red light therapy with us, and we stopped the pain behind his eye. Stopped the.
So where did you put the light?
Over the head. Face.
Okay.
In this case, when you're getting in the bed, we don't suggest people wear goggles. We suggest that they get in the bed and keep their eyes closed.
Maybe we can talk a little bit about the benefits for the brain.
I said, just keep your eyes closed and it'll get through your eyelid. I'm telling you, it can get through the skull and get to the brain. So I want to read something to you, okay? This lady, her name is Rebecca. Now, Rebecca had severe depression. Her sleep was horrible, and she was having nightmares on a regular basis. So she couldn't sleep. She was mentally extremely depressed. Not because of sleep. That was on top of that. So after two weeks of treatment, she wrote this to us. If this is how normal people feel every day, I can't believe I've been missing out all this time. This is mental and emotional stuff. So there's all the evidence. Let me tell you where your audience could look this all up, including yourself. You go to Google Scholar. I don't know how many people are familiar with this and if you're not familiar, if you do nothing else, learn about Google Scholar. And the address is scholar.google.com scholar.google.com and it'll bring up a search line, a search line that looks just a search engine that looks just like regular Google. But it ain't. It is by Google, but it's this glorious search engine that will only be looking up research stuff for you. Now you put in the word photobiomodulation in that search line. Photo P H O T O for light, bio, bio for tissue and modulation for it's going to do something. So light affecting tissue is what it's about. If you just put in the word photobiomodulation, you'll see over 23,000 double blind studies, research papers from universities and schools and all kinds of stuff. Then if you put in any word after that, like depression or any emotional thing or any of the things I've been talking about, the research has all been done. This is not just anecdotal, this is not just me blah blah blah talking. There's absolutely hardcore evidence. I had this one person, they said, well, if it's not in the hospital, then I can't believe that it even exists because why wouldn't they have it in every hospital?
That is very naive.
Dr. Kang, do you want to answer that one? Why isn't it in every hospital?
Hospital is built for lots of people to make a lot of money. Let me just put it that way.
So everyone in the health industry ain't going to be as rich if we help them. You know, I could go to a guy and say, you know, we're talking about, for example, ripped Achilles tendon. So this guy had a, this was early on in my career of light therapy. And this guy had a horrifically ripped Achilles tendon. And the surgery was already slated. My orthopedist, we sent him to, he was going to have surgery on Friday. We saw him starting on Monday. We treated him every day. And when he went for the surgical review, he didn't need the surgery. So I didn't make a friend with that orthopedist, by the way, that's not how you make friends with them. You refer business to them, not take it away from them. And I'll tell you, it's so safe that in the 50 years there has been zero side effects. There's never been a side effect.
You said the light does go through the skull. How far does it go? And you know, how much impact can it Have I know there are red light helmets.
The red light helmets being very much weaker than what we have are really more for hair restoration and it works for that. By the way, it's hard to answer that question about how the depth of penetration because we're seeing it affect the whole body. So you know somebody, when they do research, maybe they're looking at the light and how deep it goes. You know, it's not the tell, tall tell. I think it covers the whole body. And I haven't seen anything that we haven't seen great results with, come up with any condition, whether it's the disc or fat loss or whatever. We've seen wonderful results. Again, when they go to the Google Scholar photobiomodulator, put in fat loss or put in whatever, you'll see all the research that's been done in this. 12 years ago they did the research and they realized that it was an element of red light that was able to change the, that made the fat cell walls more porous and the poor fat contents leaked out. And then with certain unique protocol that we use, we're able to move that fat away from the fat cell and eventually to deliver for use or elimination. And it works. It ain't subtle.
How much weight do people actually lose and how long does it take?
They lose fat better than weight. And I'll tell you why we don't use weight here because it has been shown that it also can improve and increase muscle. So if you're increasing muscle, which weighs a lot more than fat, then using a scale for weight is not as much of a telltale sign as fat loss and body composition. Yeah, and so I tell people the best way, the easiest way, the cheapest way is how you fit in your clothing. Yeah, we actually asked them to come in their first visit in their, in clothing that they can put on, but it's not comfortable, it's really tight. And then we measure that, do that again a month later. Take, come back in here with that same clothing and they'll see how much more comfortable they fit into their clothing. Now there are other things we have, you know, body composition analyzers that show the fat content. There's a 3D scanners, there's all kinds of things that people use, but the cheapest is either a tape measure or how you fit in your clothing. Tape measures are challenging because you put it in the same spot each time, you're pulling it tighter, blah, blah. But how you fit in your clothing is going to be the easiest way and people will see that but we're talking about in some instances. We had one lady, she lost 17 inches in two weeks.
Wow.
Composite that you're measuring both thighs, the buttocks, the abdomen and both arms.
That's from using your bed.
Using a bed.
Okay, amazing. So, you know, maybe you can tell us a little bit about, you know, I, I, I know you published a wonderful book and you talked about various aspects of how this light can help. And one thing was about hormones. So, so I don't think that's talked about much. Can you tell us a little bit about that?
So there are nine divisions to our company. I told you. Face, fat and healing, one of the divisions. So there's three. The face, fat and healing. And again with the face, it's really skin all over the body. One of the divisions is women's health. And we're talking about cyst on the ovaries. We're hearing about people who the cyst are disappearing. We're talking about endometriosis. Much better. But you're asking me about hormones. It all seems to be part of that same mechanism. We're treating the body using this light therapy that stimulates the mitochondria to do what it's supposed to do. And so even hormones will come and function more properly.
So it helps the endocrine organs to function better. Yeah. You've seen real cases where was a thyroid hormone? Was a female male hormone? Like, what have you seen?
The answer is yes to all those. If you watch that video, I'll take it. I'll tell you where these are. Watch Jessica's video. She'll in one of their phrases, she goes, and my thyroid is perfect. She'd had all kinds of issues with the thyroid. So, you know, I'm playing with fire here. A little bit about telling you not to go see a thyroid expert. I never said that. You didn't hear that from me. I want you to go. But don't be surprised when your studies come back much better. Your blood studies, your hormones. It doesn't happen overnight. I think on some people, Let me tell you this, the worse off somebody is, the more dramatic they're going to notice a change in just one or two weeks. If somebody's great and they feel phenomenal, I don't know if they're going to notice any change in the bed, using the bed. But if they're really in horrific shape, we're seeing quite spectacular results where someone is a rigidity. Like we had this one lady, she could, it was her Parkinson's was pretty bad, but the only thing that bothered her, I mean, it all bothered her. But the thing that bothered her the most was that she couldn't hold the Bible when she went to church because her hands would shake so much. And after a relatively short period of time of using light therapy, our light therapy, that stopped now. She still had a tremor, but she could hold the book. You're not going to completely take a 90 year old or 88 years old and make them like they're 20, but their quality of life is going to go through the roof. This is why I'm very excited that we've had challenges getting into senior living centers. And again, I want to be cautious of what I tell you, but I have not found these guys that own these places that their, their sole goal is to help you mankind and womenkind. It's about making money. And so if I go to them and, and I'm not going to tell them that they can make a fortune out of using the bed, but their people are going to be so much more grateful and they'll be able to flood their facility with more people that want to be there because they have this equipment. But we do have now some centers that are starting to open up with the red light bed. It hasn't happened. They haven't gotten their equipment yet. But I am confident that these senior citizens are going, their quality of life is going to go through the roof while relative to where they are.
Wonderful. Okay, so maybe, you know, one of the things that can help, you know, as I understand, one of the benefits is pain relief. Right. So probably it's going to help, you know, everybody but older folks, you know, aches and pains, lots of them.
Yeah.
So how do you think it helps with pain relief?
Oh, it was a really funny thing. So I was with one of my colleagues and we saw this commercial for a big time symposium on how to manage your chronic pain. You don't have to manage your chronic pain. You get in the bed and you won't have it. I'm telling you, the results are spectacular. Pain is the, is not the most difficult symptom. You know, it's like Parkinson's that's difficult. You know, especially we have some advanced Parkinson's with their life is so limited and all that stuff or all these other things. Pain at relief is one of the first things that gets relieved. Let me give you an example. This lady had third degree burns. The wound center guaranteed her that she was going to have six months of pain, six months of medication and permanent scarring at the end by the middle of the second week, the pain was mostly gone. By the middle of the third week, not only was it all gone, but it was almost completely healed. It was just red. So pain relief is one of the easiest things to do here. I didn't say easy, but easier. It's getting down to the underlying true problem and correcting that, that really we were shooting for. Because if you're just going for pain relief. I used to tell my chiropractic patients this before I was involved with light therapy. They go, well, I'm feeling better. So I said, if you're only interested in, in getting out of pain, I could have knocked you over the head with a hammer and you wouldn't notice the pain in your arm anymore. That's not the goal. You know, the dentist doesn't say, well, how many pain in your teeth? No. Okay, come back when you're in pain. That's the worst thing to do. Right? And it's the same thing here. You don't want to wait until your colon starts telling you because you have bleeding diarrhea for, you know, and it can't be reversed without these very serious drugs. I don't know if you're familiar with ulcerative colitis, for example. Now one of the medications for ulcerative colitis, it's called Remicade. Remicade is a biologic which is given by an iv. So there's a one minute drip with a Remicade iv. I'm sure you know this, but I bet you most of the audience doesn't know what a one minute, I'm sorry, one hour drip with this remicade would cost. $55,000, not 100.
I very much believe it.
Yes, $55,000.
Well, the big pharma needs to recoup their investment.
Sure. You know, what are we going up against as a natural healer? I love the pharmaceutical industry. Don't get me wrong, we need them. You know, insurance companies don't help the insurance companies if they pay on some of these things. That's how, you know, you go like this. Let me try charging a thousand dollars, see if the insurance company will pay. Oh, they paid. How about $3,000? $5,000? 55,000. Maybe that's how it works. I don't know how they determine how much they. It's not how much they charge or how much it's worth, it's how much they can get. I think. I'm not an expert. And if you're an insurance agent, please don't get mad at Me, but, you know, I'm really here to help people. If you read this book, you'll become an expert on red light therapy. Now, how do I know this? Well, number one, I wrote it. But number two, my publisher and editor did the finishing bit of it. So I brought to them the perfect, you know, really good manuscript, and I'm a good writer, but they made it into phenomenal written and it's really well written. So if you get a chance, you want to know about red light therapy, read this book. It's not trying to sell you anything. In fact, it's trying to get you to understand that there are other answers for you. What is the mechanism stimulating the mitochondria to come back to life?
Okay.
And once that mitochondria comes back to life and you're now producing the amount of ATP that you need for your body to live, and things can heal, and everything can heal, since every tissue in your body is made up of cells, as I said, and every cell has mitochondria. That's why this is so universal. It's not just this part of your body or that part of the body. It's from head to toe, inside and out.
Wonderful. We only have a few minutes left. I just want to kind of quickly cover because I understand that red light has been shown some benefits in telomere length or detoxifications, and maybe you can just quickly brush up on those. So what does it do for telomeres? Most of my audience knows what telomeres are. The little piece at the end of the DNA. The more we divide, the more it shortens. When it's praying, it makes a lot of mistakes. So then, you know, spells the beginning of the end. So we want the telomeres to be long. So what does red light do for telomeres?
Well, we have a whole chapter about it on the. In the book, I can only. And really in that chapter. I'm not an expert in telomeres, but I reviewed the research that's on it and apparently it helps.
But basically there's research actually helps showing that it can help lengthen telomeres, you're saying?
Apparently, yes.
Okay, and what can it do for detoxification?
Okay, that's a great question. Because after the person gets off the bed, we put them on a whole body vibration. And the reason is because that's a great way to move the lymphatic system. Now, a goodly amount of, you know, the fat cell is involved with a bunch of stuff, but one of the things it does Is, is that the fat cell stores the toxins in your body or many of your toxins besides other organs helping with that, like the liver, it will be stored in your fat cell. So what we're doing is we're releasing the contents, including the gunk, which will eventually get moved through the lymphatic system to the liver. So the combination of using the red light to open up those cells and move it, and then the whole body vibration, we're finding people are really cleaning themselves out within two weeks. We're hearing the energy level going sky high, and part of it is detoxing the body. When we start off with somebody, especially with fat loss, we look at the ankles, and if they're. If you can see their ankle bones, the malleolus, really clear. I'm pretty clear that that person's got good circulation and maybe they're not toxic, so to speak, but when you see. And you can hardly see those bones, that's one of our targets. We're going to not only work on fat loss and health in general, but we're going to tell them we're going to measure around the ankle to show improvement, to clean up that gunk, so to speak. And sometimes people have to get healthy before they can start losing weight. I don't know if that makes sense, but first of all, we have to clean them up before they can start really losing weight. It might be either their hormonal issues or toxic issues or whatever, but we'll clean them up this way and we'll measure again around the ankle to actually see how this is working for them as far as detoxing their body. And it seems to work great for that. So not only are we cleaning out the fat cells, which, by the way, is a separate mechanism from the ATP and the mitochondria and all that, that's one mechanism that's near infrared mostly. And the red light is primarily, or at least good thing. Amount of it has to do with opening up the fat cells and assisting in the fat, and not only fat loss, but in the toxic, getting rid of the toxins in the body as well. That's why when this guy told me he had Lyme disease, I had assumed that he was going to have the weeks of suffering and 40 years of Lyme disease. And I figured we're going to clean him out. Sometimes somebody might, when you're cleaning them out, they might. I don't know if you've experienced it. They might actually feel worse before they get better. He didn't have that at all right, from the get go, after five hours, as I said, from that first treatment, after 40 years of Lyme disease, after five, after five hours after that first treatment. And ever since he's, he's been amazing. So I don't know, I can't always anticipate exactly what's going to happen. We assume that it's going to go through a detox process. I tell people you might feel a little funky, so to speak, or headache or whatever for the first two weeks as we're cleaning you out. But now that this new bed is so powerful, we're not really hearing that as much. We're hearing more about. I feel great.
This kind of leads me to the last question because the, you know, people are going to be wondering, okay, this is fantastic. What kind of device should I get? Because there, I don't know how many thousands or tens of thousands of different red light devices out there.
I know about tens of thousands.
Yeah, it seems that there, there are a lot. But in your opinion, what should people be looking for if they want to purchase something?
As I had mentioned, we, we were making lasers, then pads, and then I was forced to make the bed and, and we were forced to make the bed. And what we learned is that by covering the whole body at the same time, that's what's made the difference. So if I just do a little bit here, a little bit there, or put a pad around my whatever, it's not going to have the same impact as front and back, left and right, top and bottom. We're covering it all at the same time. That's what seems to be the big impact. So you want to, I think, get, if you, if you can't afford to have your own bed, just find a location near you and go get treatment. Now there are people who have the money and they'll get their own bed for themselves. I love the trifecta light. This is the one I made. It is to my specifications. All this other stuff out there, the guys that are out there, they're not clinicians, they don't understand red light. So remember, you don't want heat, you don't want vibration, you don't want anything while they're in the bed. It's nothing but lights and no heat, mild warmth. And so there are beds out there that are hotter than heck. Or they're talking about infrared saunas, which are nice, but that's not the same thing we're talking about. Cool. They used to call it cold laser or cold light. Not that it was cold. But it wasn't hot. Heat is the enemy. It drives more blood to the surface and that blocks the penetration of the light. You don't want that. So you don't want any activity. You get in the bed first. You don't want to have exercise or massage or a chiropractic before you get into bed, at least a half an hour. None of that stuff. A pristine body gets in there without increased circulation or any of that stuff. They get the treatment. Now afterwards we can do all this other stuff. Going whole body vibration. You can get into the sauna, you can do all that stuff afterwards, but you want to get a full body. I like the trifecta light. Obviously I made it not just because it's mine, but because I made it to the specifications. 1. You want the lights as close to your body as possible. Some of these devices are on the wall, for example, way off the body. You know why? Because they're so hot that you can't be close to it. If you ever put your hand on it, you'll burn your hand. That's because you're using inferior lights. You want to be on. So our canopy, as it comes down, when you're lying on it, the canopy is going to come right down onto your body. Not the weight of it, just the distance. It uses Rolls Royce hinges so that it actually will. Wherever you put the canopy, that's where it will stop. So if you raise it up, if you're claustrophobic, you can raise it up a little bit. If you're super claustrophobic, you just have your head outside of the bed. But I'd love to have your bed, your head inside the bed. Because we want to get the eyes, the hair. I have my patients keep their eyes closed and their mouth open. Gum, gum disease, tongue, throat, everything. Wow.
Yeah. Wonderful.
If somebody came into the office just with a thumb problem, that's all they, they didn't care about their health and well being and everything else. Then it doesn't matter what red light. I mean, I used to use lasers and I love lasers for. I would just laser that thumb. Great. But now that I have, you know, now that we've, I've been shown how the bed is so miraculous. I'm, I'm, I'm into the bed. That's just me.
Yeah. That's wonderful. Yeah. Thank you for your contribution to people's health by delving deep into this red light therapy and, and designing your own, you know, device that you found to be the most effective.
So this was a present that Somebody bought me.
Oh, get in the bed.
It's not going to hurt you. There's no side effects. The only, there really isn't any country contraindications. There are, but they're, they're more legal than anything has to do with pregnant women. If that baby comes out wearing a mustache, the mother and the family is going to want to blame somebody. So we're just not going to be. Even though we know lights couldn't hurt, in fact would be helpful to the embryo or fetus in the mother. But, but really there's no, no side effects and no, no serious contraindication. You know, like pacemaker, electrical implants or anything. It's a light. If you can walk in the room and turn on the lights, you can get into bed.
Yeah. I always believe the energy medicine is the next stage in, in the evolution of medicine. And I do utilize it in my clinic when I do stem cell therapy because that's the, you know, that's my specialty. I actually put the cells under red light to activate them and, and elevate their cell. Very familiar with enhancing the mitochondria health. So definitely there has been research showing the photobiomodulation do help the viability and the activity of the cells. So you know, research has been done to demonstrate that. So I wanted to mention that our.
Bed does can, you can pulse the wave. You can have it on constant wave if you want, but we usually, we suggest pulsing the wave so you can actually use that resonating frequency to resonate with different tissues in the body. And I usually teach them to use 520. If those of you are not familiar, look up 528Hz. It's the universal healing energy. There are many others. We can teach people about which kind of frequencies based on the condition. But 528 is that universal healing energy that I'm told that John Lennon wrote the song Imagine using 528 as, as the basis of that song. And it's that universal healing energy.
Wonderful.
So we can set the bed to 528. And you can control separately the top canopy and the bed. So you can get more or less power to the top or more and less power in the bottom. And based on the person, if they have sensitivities in their face or whatever, we can guide them and get them the best customized treatment so that somebody at 70 pounds is not getting the same dose that someone is 350 pounds. We can customize the dose for that individual.
Okay, well thank you so much Dr. Rothschild, I'm actually going to put in the show note link where people can utilize, where they can get a significant discount if they do want to buy this amazing bed that you have designed. And I, I look forward to hearing people giving you feedback about the healing stories. So thank you again for being here and illuminating us, no pun intended, on the, you know, the signs and all the wonderful stories about the red light therapy. So thank you, Dr. Rothschild, and thank you for being a great guest.
It's been my pleasure. Thank you so much.
