Stem Cell Therapy for Antiaging? and Why?

Joy Kong, MD, gets IV stem cell injections every three months and argues that umbilical cord cells are safer and more potent than stem cells from fat, bone marrow, or menstrual blood. Cord cells retain embryonic-like properties without the ethical concerns of embryonic stem cells.

I have done IV stem cells on myself every three months. Really? Because. Wow. Because stem cells are supposed to live in your body for about three months and its benefit is supposed to last another three months. So, you know, so that's why a person for maintenance, for anti aging maintenance, they can do it every six months. But I want to be more aggressive. I want this young, incredibly, you know, rejuvenating cells in my body. So I'm doing it every three months. Some of my patients do it every three months. So what I can tell you, you know, I can share with you my me because I'm, I'm. I'm five months away from being 50. And I can show you a picture. On top is when I was 43. On the bottom is 49, just a few months ago. The difference of, you know, my skin texture just, you know what I look like. I literally dialed the clock back for, for years. So, so I didn't anticipate that. I just thought I wanted to prevent aging. I wanted to be healthy. I, I didn't realize that I could actually become younger. So that's something that, that's an opportunity we have these days. I think right now, you know, stem cell science will always progress and will go forward. But right now, the best source we have, the safest, the most ethical and the most effective is from umbilical cord. So I think the umbilical cord right now, it's the first real fountain of youth that we have found because we can actually dial back the clock. I tell people, look at the kings and queens, you know, throughout history, no matter how rich and powerful they were, they were all aging, right? They couldn't stop it. They sent alchemists everywhere to find, you know, the fountain of youth. No one got it. They all age and then die. But guess what? We've got it. We found it now, you know, the birth tissue because of these incredible cells that forms life. They are what that groom us, right? So within the cells are the intelligence, are the incredible intelligence that can generate an entire human being. And we can tap into that. There's no substance in the world that can do that, only cells. Cells are so complex, its own universe. Because as humans, no matter how smart we are, we can make computers, but we can't make a cell. So cells, the DNA is the most energy dense substance in the universe. And when it's energy dense, that means there's intelligence, there's incredible intelligence in the cells. So how do we tap into that? What make us. We use what make us to heal us. That's what's revolutionary about stem cell therapy. And then, you know, I, I, I believe in umbilical core source because I actually put out a lecture online. I've given this lecture throughout the country and also internationally about the best source of stem cells. I've done comparisons because when patients come to me for stem cell therapy, we know it's an expensive therapy. And for me I'm obligated to give them the very, very best, most effective possible. If I can allow somebody 90% of benefit, I'm not going to be satisfied with giving them 70%. Right. So then I set out to find out what the best source may be. Is it from our own body fat or bone marrow or some people use menstrual blood, or is it from some source like amniotic membrane or umbilical cord, placental tissue? What is the best? So that was my quest four and a half years ago. I was like, I got to, you know, get to the bottom of this. So I read and read. There's no text before it, right? You have to find out for yourself from research after research. So I sat on my couch a lot. So I just read through all these articles and then I presented the data at conferences and now in the training course for doctors. And it's also online, it's called Are OMSCs Created Equal? It's on YouTube, it's 40 minute lecture. It's basically just about evidence. I always say my opinion doesn't matter. It's not about my opinion, it's about what has been found by people who've studied it for, you know, years and they've conducted experiments. So when you look at all these evidence, there's no question that the birth tissue derived source is superior at this point to whatever that's in our body. Even if we're a teenager, our stem cells are still inferior to a newborn stem cells. They're not just less in number and they're also less potent. They have less potential to go in different directions. Their surface markers change, for example, when you get stem cells from the umbilical cord, that mesenchymal stem cells, which is the master for regeneration, they actually have surface markers that only embryonic stem cells have. So in adult stem cells, so in our full grown adult, the stem cells in our body, we don't have that anymore, know there's no embryonic markers, not those markers anymore. But they are in the umbilical cord. Guess what? Because umbilical cord, those cells got caught up in the earlier embryo, embryogenesis. So when the fetus forming, these cells got trapped and they still carry the earlier characteristics. So they have more potential to become what, what, what's needed when these potentials are lost in our own stem cells. But the nice thing about those cells is that because they are further differentiated comparing to the embryonic stem cells, they're also safer. So they don't have the kind of tumor generation potentials, so they don't cause the kind of tumor growth that we're concerned about. So it's like, win, win situation. So this is why I'm excited about using the birth tissue source.
Wow. So, so crazy. Yeah, it's really. They've come a long way, the whole stem cell thing, since I first started. And for those of you watching too, we'll be doing a podcast in a few days on this. So we're going to do a full on deep dive and that'll become, you know, a YouTube video and a podcast, of course. But I just like to live stream everything I do that I think could inspire people and be interesting. And so when I walked in here today, I had my, my iPad that you guys are watching on, I thought, you know what, let's just do a little preliminary.
