Joy Kong, MD, and colleagues discuss whether you can boost your own stem cells through fasting and supplements like Stem Regen. The catch: your cells age with you. Older stem cells lose their ability to stop cancer growth and send proper signals, making self-injected cells potentially risky compared to younger, donor-sourced alternatives.

So there are a lot of people who want to enhance their own stem cell production or just want to conduct their own stem cell therapy, I guess, within their own body. So some people say fasting, right? That enhances autophagy. It can activate more stem cells. So yes, you can increase certain populations of cells in your body, or you can take some kind of supplement like Stem Regen to enhance the release of stem cells, you can do all that. You will still get benefits.
The only thing is that those are your own stem cells, and that's your age. No way around it because when you age, depends on what kind of age you are, and if you have any health issues, there are degradations in your cells. So both health problems and aging process will make your stem cells decline in its quality and in its ability to respond to the environment and to secrete the right signals to help you repair. So this is why when you age, everything slows down, right?
The speed of recovery and for your skin healing or any other healing, your bones and joints.
So it's not just that they have declined in their capabilities, and they also declined in their numbers drastically, literally like going off a cliff as far as how many stem cells you have in your body. But beyond that, they also have lost certain intelligence, such as the intelligence to recognize cancer cells. So that is something that you need to be aware of.
If you put stem cells, take them out right from your fat, and then put back into your body thinking that you are helping with regeneration, the problem is that the cells could be telling all your cells to grow without realizing that cancer cells needs to be sent a different set of signals, which younger cells are capable of doing, such as from the umbilical cord. So when you get these older cells from your own body, it could tell everything to grow, including cancer.
So those are some of the risks you need to recognize when you are trying to release and promote more of your own stem cell production.
