Traumatic Brain Injury - Brain Scan

Dr. Joy Kong uses stem cell therapy to treat traumatic brain injury, describing it as a way to "infuse intelligence" into healing. SPECT imaging shows blood flow changes that match symptom improvements, sometimes within days or weeks. She links untreated TBI to suicidality in veterans and athletes.

Stem cell therapy is so revolutionary. I'm so excited about it because this is the first time in history I am actually utilizing intelligence to heal the human body. We've never had a chance to give intelligence. We gave drugs, herbs, chemicals, but we have never used DNA itself which is the most energy dense substance in the universe. And that energy is intelligence. Hi, I'm Dr. Joy Kong. I am the President and CEO of Chow Biologics. I'm also the medical director of Theia center for Regenerative Medicine and president and founder of American Academy of Integrated Cell Therapy. We've got stem cells all over our body, but it's only until the last 20, 25 years that we actually know about this. And stem cell science is in progression. We're more rapidly expanding in our knowledge base and through all kinds of studies and clinical research all around the world. But it's only now we're beginning to understand just how extensive they are in our body and what a powerful role they still play. I'm doing with stem cells I'm excited about is to optimize brain health. And in particular I realize how prevalent traumatic brain injury is not just you know, in professional athletes that we've all talked about, you know, concussion and also military veterans. And I believe so many of the suicides is because of untreated traumatic brain injury and their brain cannot heal, cannot function and they see no way out. But now we have a new tool. We have stem cells, we have this cellular therapy that where I can infuse intelligence into the body to help the brain heal. A lot of times when people have traumatic brain injury structurally you can't see anything. There's nothing that you can find and can demonst rate but doesn't mean the damage has not happened. So this is why I came to Sarascan where they do functional imaging. So this SPECT scan which is it's actually able to detect blood flow and functionally how your brain is able to whether have more of activity or less of activity and look at directly at different areas. And because of their very sophisticated serometrics analysis, they're able to combine what's normal, what's average and then look at what may be abnormal and each region and correlate that with different symptoms. I've already seen people having drastic results within sometimes within a day or two or within weeks. There's motor skill improvements, there's cognitive function improvement, there's energy level, mood improvement. So if I can look at the scan and seeing changes in those areas of the brain that correlates with how they, how those areas are controlling these functions, then I know it's absolutely, it's the stem cells that's causing these changes. As a doctor, I know in our hearts, we all went into the profession because we wanted to heal people. So that is a driving force of bringing good and healing to the world. So when I actually saw, saw that I can bring drastic transformation using something so elegant and the result happening so fast, that is incredible satisfaction, the happiness, the ability to enjoy life and that you are the agent of that change, I would have to say that's one of the best things, if not the best thing I've ever experienced.
