I know a lot of doctors in integrative medicine are giving people glutathione infusions, especially if they have some kind of degenerative conditions. So have you seen people doing really well with a spray?
There's a study out there that showed that the cyclodextrin molecule combined with the glutathione was actually helping glutathione cross the blood brain barrier. One thing they have noticed is the brain fog seems to be reducing down.
What kind of results have you seen?
One of the daughters that was not sleeping because of perspective disorder was able to sleep for the first time in seven years and the mom has tears coming down the cheek because she hasn't slept for seven years either. Of course it's not getting rid of the problem, but at least now they're able to sleep at nighttime so they can have a functioning life.
Hello, everybody. Thank you so much for coming back. I am so, so excited to introduce a new guest, Dr. Nayan Patel. And I, I'm just delighted because he's going to illuminate on what glutathione is and the new formulation that he invented and has seen incredible results on. So this is something I don't think, you know, I think people are very interested in glutathione, but they really don't understand enough how it works and the different formats and are you really getting it? We know it's important, but are people actually getting what their body needs? So, just brief introduction. Dr. Patel, first of all, welcome.
Thank you for having me today.
Yeah, yeah. I'm very excited about this interview. So I want to just introduce Dr. Patel a little bit. He's a sought after pharmacist, wellness expert and thought leader in his industry. He has been working with physicians since 1999 to custom develop medications for their clients and design a patent specific drug and nutrition regimen. He has been the pharmacist of choice to celebrities, CEOs and physicians themselves. He recently published his first comprehensive book, the Glutathione Fight Disease, Slow Aging and increase energy. After 11 years of clinical research on this master antioxidant glutathione, Dr. Patel finally shares his powerful and essential glutathione to the body's detox system. So he is going to tell us about just how this can help us all stay young and have better energy and hopefully helping with a lot of, you know, reduced suffering. So, Dr. Patel, I'm really delighted to have you here.
I am so happy to be here today. Thank you for having me. As a guest.
Yeah, I know you are a very seasoned pharmacist. You've had your own pharmacy, very successful, you've taught a lot of physicians. And where did this passion for glutathione come about?
Oh, boy. Started from. Actually started from long time ago, back in early 2000, late 1990s, early 2000, when I was, you know, as a company pharmacist, I get projects from physicians. I said, hey, I need something better, powerful, stronger than simple vitamin C. And can you make something in glutathione? At that time, I was making glutathione injectable forms of glutathione, the inhaled solutions of glutathione, topical, like creams and. And things like that. But the thing is, nothing was working right. So even though I was making those products back in early 2000, I know back of my mind was not working for my physicians. Well, not working for my patients. So I'll get one order and I don't get reorders because the outcomes were not there, you know, and so you get this little bit discouraged because as a pharmacist, you. You think that you can solve a lot of medication problems, but your hands are kind of tight because there's only so much you know about medications.
And so maybe we take a short step back, maybe tell the audience exactly what glutathione is and what for the body.
Absolutely. So the reason is the glutathione is so interesting because it's the most abundant peptide produced in the human body. It has it usually you're not. There's no shortage of gluten in your body, usually. Right. But so it's the most abundant product produced by human body. And the reason is because it helps your body stay clean, it helps fight diseases, it conjugates with toxins to remove them out of your body. So it does more than just one thing. And it's one of those most versatile peptide in you have. It's like if you have one tool, one tool in your tool chest to solve all your problems, I would say that would be glutathione, really. So it is that important to us. And so my research has always been, how can I improve it better following the pages.
So how many amino acids is in glutathione?
This is three, just three amino acids. It's glycine, glutamic acid, and cysteine. It's the most simplest form of a peptide, which we think about. It's not a protein because it's a tripeptide. It requires a little bit of energy, little nad and boom. Have your tripeptide ready in your body. Hmm.
I'm wondering, since it's so short, does it qualify it as a bioregulator?
I'm not sure it qualifies a bioregulator. It does affect a lot of biochemical reactions, for sure, but I'm not sure if it qualifies as a biogator.
Does it interact with the DNA?
No, it does not. I don't think so in the sense that it will alter the DNA sequences.
Okay, so how does it do all these amazing things in the body?
It has two properties, right? So if you know glutathione, which of course you do know glutathione, it has that smell, that sulfur powder to it. That sulfur group, which is a thiol group on the glutathione molecule, is the most reactive substance they have. And it's really. It's ready to give it away in exchange for a supercharged reactive species that's in your body. So it's willing to give a sulfur molecule to take over the excess oxygen and so to neutralize the reactive species in your body. So that's a one way to keep your body neutral and not always electronically charged at all times. So that's. That's one function of glutathione. The second function, which is the most important portion for us, which, which we. You. You don't even realize that part is that it will bind to various elements in your body. All those chemical toxins that are kind of fat soluble. It'll bind them, conjugate with them, make them water soluble, so you can either you can pee them out or you can remove them from. Through the intestines. So that function is very crucial because without detoxifying all those chemicals, you are stuck with having all those in your body. And then that just. That becomes the end of all sort of issues. Because when you have chemical overload in your body, your body does not know how to respond to it. You have gene mutations, you have gene expression that you're not in your favor. All those things can start happening and you don't know where to begin. Now.
Okay. Bind toxins and then neutralize reactive oxygen species. Those are the two main things. Okay.
Yep.
Okay. And now you can tell us your frustration with trying to deliver this incredible molecule.
You know, it's such a large molecule. First of all, it is highly unstable. The sulfur molecule is there. The glutin is so ready to give it a way to. To neutralize the Reactive species that it's very hard to contain outside the human body. And so my first technology was I wanted to find out a way to stabilize glutathione in the water based system at room temperature where it doesn't require too much manipulation. And so that took me a few years to do that to stabilize the glutathione, which was kind of difficult, but in the hindsight wasn't a big deal because the second part was even harder. The second part was how do I get the glutide inside your body? That was the most difficult portion because traditionally what you do is you, you inject them, you take, you take a pill or you take, you take some liquid, you drink it. And anything that you do, it always got broken down by human body. It is breaking down to the amino acids and the amino acid gets reabsorbed and the body produces glutathione out of it. So in theory, yes, glutathione levels does increase. It's not because it's absorbing glutathione, it's that it's using the components to make its own glutathione. So that did not jive very well for me. So if that's the case, I can just give you the three amino acids and just call it a day. And actually it does work. FDA has approved one of the amino acids as a form of treating patients to improve gluten and reduce style toxicities. It's called, it's called N acetylcysteine is approved by FDA back in the 60s. So it's already there. So my dilemma was to get this molecule into your body. And so that took me a couple more years. And when I did that part, we, we use a technology that is, doesn't exist at this point. Even after 14 years, there are not too many products out there using this technology to actually deliver some sort of medication, some sort of molecule through your body. And so we use that molecule to actually help facilitate the, the, the size of the glutathione to actually get to your skin.
And so I know the liposomal form has been popular and there are a lot of companies selling it, but it tastes really awful. But, but do you think those work pretty well or not?
It does work. I mean, all these products do work, but not for the right reason. Right. You think that you, when you take liposomal liquid, it tastes awful, so I can suck it up and taste bad. That's okay. I could deal with that portion if it doesn good to you. Right. And so you Take the liposomal liquid and the gluten levels will rise. It's rising. Not because the liposome technology is using the glutathione is protecting and it's, it is absorbing as is, is actually breaking down all the glutathione into amino acids. The amino acids are actually being used to make the glutathione.
Wow. So the whole point of protecting it using the liposome spheres is not working.
It may not be, it may not be. Ideal situation.
Okay.
Liposomes are great, by the way. I use the liposome technology back in the late 90s to make vitamin C and glutathione and CoQ10 and all those things, but I was not getting the results that I wanted. So back in the, in the late 90s, nobody heard about glyposome technology. So when we first made those products, it was like, yes, it's, it's great. Tastes bad, you know, it, it's, it's okay. But outcomes were not there. Right when, when my doctor calls me and say, I want to make this product because this, this is the markers I'm looking for. If the outcomes are not there, then why make a product? So even though I had the liposome technology back in, in the late 90s, early 2000, I was looking for something better. And so that's where the, my research led to me to, to today. Yes. So we did discover something. We did discover goodwill back in 07, but again, there was no, there was no published data on it. So it took me 11 or 12 years just to figure out what to do with it, how much to give, how often to give, what kind of outcomes am I going to get out of it and so I can release the part to the open public. I was just using you working with physicians all over the United States to use this in treatment options via prescriptions. So that's how we did it.
Okay, so that's a spray that you developed. That's a spray for prescriptions from the doctors only.
Yes, originally. Because the thing is, we had no idea what to do and I was working with a physician. So the physicians will give a prescriptions to make a product and I'll go ahead and make the product for that one patient at a time.
Okay, so how does this, how did you develop this formula that can absorb through the skin? So.
Well, that was. Again, I wish I can take all the credit, but like every great invention, it has been an accident. Right? So, okay, that's the secret of this whole story. I wish I, I Can take the credit off that. I worked on it diligently and created this molecule in my lab. And now I'm this mad genius. But I was actually working on the molecule and I had no idea what I had created until about a year later. I was. I made the product. It was ready. It smells bad. I said, okay, it tastes bad. I said, oh, God, it did. It didn't solve the purpose. I was not ready to give it to my patients to. To swallow it because it's going to taste really, really bad. Right. So I said, okay, I can't do that part. And so I shelved it. And when I shelved it about a year later, when I was. When I. We had. We clean up the whole pharmacy once a year to make sure there's nothing expired, nothing the pharmacist is left around so that we just trash it or we dispose it correctly. And then when we found out that a year later the molecule is still stable, that's when we said, oh, look at. Back in my research book, because we have all have the composition book that we write all the notes in there. We pull the old book out and say, okay, guys, let's start building the onion back. I said, what did we do back then? So that's when we discovered a year later what we already discovered a year ago. Right. And so I had to go back and start looking at all my work, start putting all the paperwork together. And that's when we started working on this molecule more efficiently. And that's why we figured out that this actually goes topically and not orally because something in the pharmacy was using topically and they got the results immediately. And so, you know, these are all. All accidents. But it's more than one accident happening in a row that, that, that triggers that. This was a novel invention for us.
Yeah. So you added some molecules onto the glutathione molecule. Is that how you did it?
Yeah. So we use bunch of polysaccharide molecules, cyclodextrins to be known. But there are multiple different types of cyclodextrins. And using multiple of those to do the chemical cap so it doesn't get oxidized using the prot. So it gets compressed so it can get through your skin. So there's multiple different molecules that have been used. And then there's a process on putting one piece after another chemically to make sure that the molecule is stable and it stays intact at all times. So that's something that took us a while to develop that portion. But you're right. It's a chemical process that we have developed to stabilize and deliver the glutathione molecule.
Now, so when it's absorbed by the skin, does the extra molecule detach? And then you get the original glutathione.
So when we put a chemical cap, it's like wearing a cap. It's not attached to the body, it's loosely bound, which gets dislodged into your body. Can it get discharged earlier before it gets into the body? Probably so. And that's where the shelf life comes in. Right. How long does it stay stable in this form? But it's a loosely bound cap that we put on top of it, so that way it can come up very easily, so to speak. Once it gets inside your body, the second portion is what we use. The Dexter molecules are a cone shape. And so it's a process of literally twisting the glutathione molecule to make it a little bit smaller without changing the molecule itself, but just compressing it down so that you are able to deliver efficiently. And once inside the body, the, the sugar molecule gets absorbed pretty fast inside your body. So when that gets absorbed, the whole molecule gets open to, to the body of it. It's like you squeeze it small enough, get in your body and open it and just opens it up again.
That's pretty cool. You're doing some magic there.
I hope I, I hope the magic is, is worth the trouble. Right. It's sometimes you do cool things, but at the end of the day, there's no results with this molecules. The great part about that, that we do get results in terms of improving glutathione levels immediately.
Yeah. So you tested people's glutathione level right after and then also continuously to see how long they stay in the body, right?
Yes. So we have done a couple of clinical trials already. The original trial that we did for the USPTO office, when we did the patent applications that was submitted that approved. So we got, as of last week, we have five patents approved on this, on this molecule now finally. So we do have a bunch of patterns that are still pending, but we've got five approved for both composition and delivery of glutide through your skin. And so, yeah, so that's what, that's what the process is, Right. It's. It's how you make it, how you deliver it. And can we, can we get outcomes at the end of the day is you can make the greatest product in the world, but if it doesn't deliver results, then why make it right.
Right? Yeah. So what kind of results have you.
Seen on the medical side? All kinds. I mean, that's what. Okay, that's. That's the reason we do this podcast. I guess that's the reason I wrote this book in the first place, because when I first started seeing the results, every family gathering I went to, when I talk about this molecule, I keep on repeating myself to the point that I got so tired. I can write this book out because all the findings I have, because think about it, there's so much literature out there that talks about, hey, gluten can. If you improve gluten levels, it can reduce your oxygen stress. Oxidative stress is. Is associated with all kinds of diseases. Right now, gluten is by all means, doesn't cure any diseases, but it is one of the most important component to reduce the damages caused by the diseases. Like, for example, diabetes. Insulin causes the highest amount of oxygen species, right. Those oxygen species has to be neutralized, and gluten helps you neutralize those species. Now, it doesn't do anything for the diabetes, but the damage that caused by the diabetes, if I can neutralize that portion, all of a sudden, the disease becomes manageable. A doctor can actually work with the physicians and get the disease under control while we are. While we're managing the damage that's caused by the diseases. Right? So, yes, oxidative stress markers gone down in a number of cases. Even infections. Think about infection produces so much RS pieces inside your body. A kid infection like viruses, we just went through a pandemic that everybody was having chronic inflammatory response. What is that response? It's just an inflammation. It's reacting to a virus that an unknown molecule. Now, even though glutathione does not do anything for the viruses, but if we can help with inflammation down. Now, you as a physician can work on the viruses, making sure the patients are stable enough, and then we can heal them. But if you're dealing with all the outside parameters, then becomes very difficult. I always think about it as a kitchen, right. As a chef, the kitchen is completely clean. You can cook amazing meals, right. But while cooking, if you have everything everywhere, the batter and the eggs and. And pieces everywhere in your kitchen, you don't know it doesn't look good, and you have a hard time cooking your meal. And so I feel like I'm the. I am the helper to clean everything around you so the chef can actually prepare the meal properly for us.
I see. Okay. All right. So. Right. I know we definitely cannot make any claims about Diseases. But yeah, I like how you explained it that you are assisting in the process of repair. So in what areas of suffering have you been able to help?
So a common one that we have seen is like a lot of patients with spectrum disorders, right? Those are easy pickings because these are young kids and they have detoxification pathways have been compromised and they have all sorts of symptoms and we call them spectrum disorder. Could be autism, could be Asperger's, could be all kinds of variation, variations of those diseases. And while it does not it's a condition, it's not a disease, I don't think so it's a condition. And so if they cannot detoxify themselves, with the help of glutathione, they're able to detoxify themselves and become a functional, normal human being. Now if they stop taking, they go back to right where they were. So only thing it's doing is, is, is aiding the process of detoxification, but is not affecting the disease by all means at all. Right. So that's one component. Now think about it. Your body has trillions of chemical reactions happening every single day. Every chemical reactions byproduct is a reactive species. That, that's the, that's the stress on your body. That stress has to be neutralized. Their body produces glutathione to neutralize those stressors. Imagine if you don't have any glutathione. So your stress level starts increasing and within no time, right. Within months to years, you are up to your eyeballs. There's all kinds of stresses inside your body. And that's when all the diseases starts kicking in, right? Metabolic disorders, oxidative stress disorders, mental disorders. I mean, the list goes on and on. Does gluten aid in all these diseases? No, but gluten will help with making sure that all the processes are going correctly. So that way you can better manage all diseases. I know you're asking for specific disease states. I don't have a specific answer because it affects so many of them.
Yeah. But I'm sure you've seen patients or reported by other physicians when they give people this glutathione spray. I'm wondering in what areas that, that there have been improvements noticed. And you said like autism, you've seen improved, I guess, social interactions or, or even things like urinary control from the.
From the kids disturbances. They get the one of the daughter that was not sleeping because of for spectrum disorder was able to sleep for the first time in seven years.
Wow.
And the mom, the tears coming down the cheek because she hasn't slept for seven years either. And so that was a very emotional moment. Of course it did not get rid of the problem, but at least now they're able to sleep at nighttime so they can have a functioning life. We had a couple of cases where we had anecdotally patient was using it for something else for maintenance, general maintenance. And one of the patients HPA1C which is a sugar levels went down. Right. Again it was just one patient but it just tells us that if you reduce oxygen stress down, you can literally reduce the sugar levels down. So now your insulin or your diabetic medications are better controlling your diabetes. We had cases where patients were using it for just over general health and the triglyceride levels start coming down. Of course when people go on glutathione they inherently are also looking at a better life lifestyle. So they, they will change the lifestyle using the glutathione. The triglyceride went down. Of course as a me, as a biased person is going to, is going to say that glutath reduce the triglyceride levels. But it's, it's, it's the, you know that, right? It's, it's a whole story that my patient does, always does more than one thing to, to get the results they're looking for. But so we have seen in all kinds of different areas where Oxford stress, if it results to stress down, if there's a metabolic changes in your blood that the doctors are using it, I have a bunch of doctors that using it for mold related inflammation, biotoxin related inflammation because those inflammatory markers are high and the anti inflammatory drugs that I approved doesn't work on those patients and so they're looking for more natural anti inflammatory that your body produces and the body produces glutathione so that, that doctors have been using for those kinds of purposes anyway. So and, and a lot of the doctors when they use the product they don't even tell us what they're using you for. Right. Unless they, they call me and tell me oh my God, My, my inflation, my inflammation went down. This is, I've been battling this for years. My, or my, my knee pain is better now because I, I couldn't, I, I couldn't believe that it applied four sprays of this glutathione and my knee pain went away temporarily of course, but you know still going away for knee pain when the people are suffering is always a big deal.
Right. Right. And I know a lot of doctors in integrative medicine are giving people glutathione infusions, especially if they have some kind of degenerative conditions. So have you seen people doing really well with a spray?
So we do have patients, doctors prescribing for their patients or recommend for their patients for neurodegeneration. Because there's a study out there that showed that the cyclodextrin molecule combined with the glutathione was actually helping glutathione cross the blood brain barrier. And that study is still ongoing, so I cannot comment on the study as of yet. There are researchers out there at the university are looking at that molecule to see if it's actually doing that part. There's some technology that they can measure the glutath levels in your brain by just spectrometry. So they are doing the study right now, and that is yet to see. One thing they have noticed is the brain fog seems to be reducing down. And so the brain fog could be. Is it because of inflammation or is it because of neurodegenerations? I do not know that part. It could be very well, but just be inflammatory markers in your body that's causing the brain fog. Right. And so that is yet to come. That is yet to come.
Yeah. Yeah. And I remember hearing you telling me about some of your family members and they've noticed really, really great results. So that's.
Family members always biased, right? Because they. They get free supply from me for. So I can get the trials from them. So they're always a little biased. But sometimes the blood tests don't lie. Right. Even though they are biased. When I see the blood results that, oh my gosh, they are. Their HD levels are high or the triglycerides are low or the sugar levels are getting better. And I know that they've been misbehaving, learning a lot of carbs and sugars, even though the levels are low, kind of makes you think that, hey, only thing glutathione is doing is reducing oxidative stress. It's not doing anything with the diseases. It's just really oxidative stress. And by doing so, all the other medications that the patients are taking becomes so much more effective. Right. So I think this is a great adjunct supplement for anybody with. With that is trying to. To bring body under. Under homeostasis. That's what I feel like it.
I see, I see. Yeah. And how does this compare to IV infusions of glutathione? Because, you know, of course, you're giving the molecule directly into the bloodst, it's very popular. You know, some people do it regularly or injections, just intramuscular injections. And what do you think of that form?
It's the IVs. As I said earlier, I used to make IV Glutathione all the time. So I prepared IV Glutathione until 2019. So 20 years I made IV Glutathione. The patents got approved, my book, my book got published and I was ready to launch my product to the open market. The first thing I did was I shut down my IV glutathione business.
Yes.
And, and the reason is because even though I knew this was not the most cost effective manner to deliver glutathione, because IV is go straight in the bloodstream and it only stays for about 14 minutes, 40 minutes later, the plasma where the glutathione is absorbed in, it doesn't get absorbed into our red blood cells, which is okay, but it stays in the plasma. But the plasma gets filtered out by kidneys every 15 minutes. So everything is filtered out. So there's not much glutathione left after 14 minutes in your bloodstream. So that makes it very difficult to keep on giving this high cost product to our patients in the hope that it's going to do good for us. There was a study done in 1991 that showed this exact phenomena was happening. But in that study they also found out that even though the kidney filtered out the glutathione, portion of the glutathione was, was broken down into cysteine and cysteine was getting reuptake again. So as a physician, you should feel at least a little bit better about yourself that with IV glutathione, even though the immune results are only about 14 minutes, there's, there's a later on effect comes in from your body's ability to produce glutide using the cysteine molecule. So, so there is, there is a. Glutathione levels will rise maybe six hours or eight hours later. Not because it could take it to iv, because the cysteine got reabsorbed and it's been used to produce glutathione again.
I see.
Just. So that's the reason. But. So, but if you're looking for outcomes, I mean, there's not. The glute has a very short life. Right. Regardless of what form you do, it only stays in the body for maybe 14 minutes to up to a day maximum. So unless you're doing IV therapies once or twice a day, every single day of your life. That's how you predict the results. But how many patients have out there looking for longevity or for age management or just as a supplementation wants to do a poke themselves twice a day or even once a day? It's, it's very, it's, it's not, it's not proper, it's not cost effective, by all means. And so having something at home, you just spray it on your body, you just rub it in over two minutes and gives you the same levels of gluten in your blood, you have a fighting chance to, to see the results that you can expect from having high glutathione levels.
So how often do you recommend people use this spray? And is there a, you know, dose difference between different people?
Yeah, that's a very good question. So one of the doctors I work with out of Utah, God bless him, he did all the hard work for us, so he wanted to find out how much to give to his patients. So he basically started giving them 50 milligrams, 100 milligrams, 200 because the literature supports up to give up to one or two grams of IV push, right? So you can get to up to 2,000 milligrams per day. No, no issues whatsoever. And FD already has a grass stands for glutathione. So that means if you consume orally a large amount of glutathione, nothing's going to happen to you. So I say, hey, let's start off right, let's start with low dosage and see what happens, right? And so what he found out in his, in his little small study of couple of patients here and there in his own Clientele, that about 100 milligrams get you the best glutathione levels in your blood, that you don't need anything more than that. If from 100 milligrams we went to 200 milligrams, the levels went a little bit higher than that, but it did not justify the cost of doubling the cost for a little bit increase in the levels because that little increase may not, may not give you the outcomes you're looking for. Now if you are have a chronic issue, right, you have for years or decades your low glutathione levels. A lot of people with autoimmune diseases have low glutathione levels to begin with because they're chronically been suppressed, right? Or they have medications that they use, they have suppressed their own immune system for a long time. And so those Patients will have a chronically low glutathione levels. Those patients will actually benefit from a higher dose just initially, maybe have a couple of months and then go to 100 milligrams twice a day to kind of keep the levels throughout the day, all the time. So what we found was 100 milligrams was more than sufficient. If you do it twice a day, you'll have a full day coverage of glutathione in your body.
Okay, so four sprays is 100 milligrams.
Yeah, that's right.
Okay. All right. So initially someone with a more persistent condition, maybe twice a day and then they can taper off to once a day.
No, the, for the more persistent condition they need the Gluteril plus, which is the white box. That's the stronger version. That is all that for them to recommend this product, they have to go through a physician's to make sure they are under, under supervisor because we want to make sure that they're using for the right purposes. And then once they do that for boosting the levels up, we can move them towards Gluteril and they use that four sprays twice a day for maintenance.
Okay, I see. So as far as glutathione, people's question often is really, is this going to move the needle for my condition? But for you, you think that this is more as an adjunct to what the physicians are doing to really help with pushing for healing but not rely on just glutathione alone?
Oh yeah, you can't rely on any one drug. If that's the case, then I do have to do FDA clinical trials to make sure that I can make those claims. FDA has to approve those trials. I have to do all this work to make sure that that's true. And I'm quite honestly, I'm not sure if that's, that's going to deliver the results I'm looking for. But as an adjunct I would just research. Stress down alone can give so much of your life back. Right. That I, that, that. Why, why are you looking for getting of the diseases in the first place? I mean that would be, that would be very miracle for us in my lifetime if that happens. But my goal is to just reduce oxygen stress down. There's so much stress is created from all those diseases and environmental toxins and modern day conveniences that we accustomed to today that if I just achieve that, I think I can give a better quality of life to all my customers, all my patients.
So I'm curious a lot of People are taking a ton of antioxidants and there's so much on the market. So a person could say, well, this is fighting oxidative stress. Why can't I just eat a ton of antioxidants? Right. All these superfoods.
Yes. And, and those are nothing's, nothing's wrong with that one. Right? So antioxidants, your body only produces glutathione to fight with all oxidative stress. Right? So at the bare minimum, if you want to do all the superfoods in the world, go knock yourself out. I am not against any one of those. But at the bare minimum, optimize your glutathione levels. That's a bare minimum if you do that part. And then if you still feel like that, you have to eat this, this mushroom from this tiny island off some coast of on Mars, go ahead and do it. Right. But at the bare minimum, you got to have the glutathione levels optimized first. And all the foods, the foods are literally complex, right? So it's not just an antioxidant effect. You're getting a lot more phytonutrients out of those food sources that is actually beneficial long term. So if you're using just to reduce oxygen stress down, then I would say it's, it's, it's good, but it's not good enough because to oxidize stress, you need to have glutathione. But if you're saying that I need phytonutrients, I want to have a full spectrum, all kinds of antioxidants, then by all means, yes, please do it, because I strongly believe in phytonutrients. Very dense phytonutrients in this, in this type of food sources.
Is it true that glutathione is important, is a bottleneck antioxidant in the recycling of other antioxidants?
I'm not sure if it's a bottleneck, but. Okay, so glutathione, GSH molecule, when it gets oxidized, it becomes GSSG molecule. Okay? That's the oxidized form of glutathione. So the glutathione and oxidized glutton, they always stay in your body, right? This oxidized glutathione will take energy source from those antioxidants. So you speak like vitamin C, vitamin E and those spirulina and the choleras, all those superfoods, it will take the energy from that food and GSSG molecule becomes GSH again. And so it is. All this food is, all it's doing is providing resources or energy to the GSSG molecule to make gluten again. In fact, you get the same exact thing even from a sunlight. If we just stay in the sun just for a short amount of time, that's enough to convert all the GSSG molecule into GSH again. But too much of sunlight can cause GSH to become GSSG again. Right. Because that's also a stress. Sunlight, UV rays, all those things can, can also do the same thing too. And so the recycling is only happening on the glutathione portion. All the other molecule, I don't think so. They have the capacity to stay in this equilibrium, so to speak, of oxidized and unoxized form of, of, of the antioxidants. Vitamin C does not do that. Vitamin E does not do that. So all this molecule does not do that except for glutathione.
Okay, so all the good antioxidants we take can help recycle glutathione.
That's right.
So probably it's good to take some good antioxidants while using your spray.
Absolutely. And I always recommend that part. I personally take myself vitamin C. I also take some superfoods. I take some amino acids as well myself because I always feel like if I just give the building blocks to my body, my body can, can, can heal itself. Right, right. Unfortunately, we have been trained to fight problems for everybody and it'll be easier just to give them ammunition and let them fight their own problems. And so a body can fight its own problems. It just is amino acids to build the building blocks.
Wonderful. That's great. I'm sure people are very, very intrigued and would like to, you know, get some of these products. So where can they find it?
Well, they can go to any of the doctor's offices like yourself. Of course you have it too, but we only give it to the doctor's offices so they have it in stock. And if they don't have in stock, they can always recommend to get it from my pharmacy for my website, which is orowellness.com a u r o wellness.com and if you do go to the website you do, we do ask you who's your prescribing physician, who's your doctor that you work with? And please put, please put the Dr. Kong in there so that we know if something, if there is any concern, any issues, if you have any questions, we know who the doctor that you're working with.
Right, right. Yeah. And Your company is very kind to offer my audience a discount. So I'll put a discount code also in the show Note. Yes. Yeah. So this is great. And I'm hoping this podcast is going to help a lot of patients getting their inflammation down and get their body better prepared to heal.
I can only say tell one thing is that I always say, and I always give example of my family members because that's what I. I believe that if you can just help everybody in your family stay healthy, then guess what? The whole family becomes better. Beautiful. Right? Because one family member is not. Is not feeling good can bring the whole family down. And so I myself, I make sure that my whole family is on glutathione because I want the benefits that I've seen in my own personal life and my parents life. I want everybody to feel the same benefit.
Yeah. Yeah, that's a great point. Help everybody and then makes your life.
More beautiful that you care about. Right? Help everybody that you care about.
Well, help everybody that walks in my door.
Your case for sure.
Yeah. This is wonderful. Thank you so much for explaining all the details about glutathione and how you came up with this wonderful formula that can drastically enhance the outcome. So I'm really happy that we had a conversation that people are getting all the great tips.
Thank you for having me today. I appreciate it.
