A short YouTube talk (by Joy Kong, MD) describing use of light at different wavelengths to improve stem-cell infusion outcomes. The speaker says cells are pre-activated by light and that, during infusion, organ-directed light both increases cell mobility/proliferation and activates adhesion molecules in target organs, which helps those organs "trap" the infused stem cells.
