What Else Can Help Stem Cell Therapy?

A short patient-oriented video by Dr. Joy Kong describing adjunctive therapies used alongside stem cell therapy to enhance outcomes. She briefly explains ozone therapy, NAD infusions, Poly MVA, and Plaquex (phosphatidylcholine) infusions — covering mechanisms, claimed benefits, and clinical uses (e.g., oxygenation, immune stimulation, mitochondrial support, anti-microbial/anti-neoplasm effects, liver and vascular health).

Hi, this is Dr. Joy Kang. So today I want to talk a little bit about different integrated therapies we use in our clinic to help enhance stem cell therapy. So stem cell therapy doesn't exist in vacuum. Our body is very complex. So when we can give people the stem cells which are driving forces for regeneration and repair, you still need many other things to be in place to help maximize the treatment benefits. So there are some really wonderful therapies we use in our clinic, which include ozone therapy, NAD therapy, and also something called poly MVA as well, placx. So I wanna talk a little bit about each of these therapies briefly, just to give you an idea of what we do. So first I wanna talk about ozone therapy. So ozone is basically three oxygen molecules becoming two ozone molecules, and exists very briefly and quickly breaks down into oxygen molecules and a lot of metabolites which actually have profound effects on the body. Those are called ozonides. And so ozone therapy has been used medically for over 150 years, and it's widely practiced in Germany and also in a lot of other countries. It's a legal and widely used medical treatment, such as in China, in Italy, in Spain, Portugal and Brazil. And so it has been helping human health for a long time. And what are the benefits? So first of all, ozone therapy, it can super oxygenate our body, so deliver massive amount of oxygenation and actually helping the tissue to deliver oxygen. And it also can stimulate the immune system. So it reminds me of, revitalizes the immune system. And it can also trigger our innate antioxidant system to ramp up its production so we have better protection for our body. And so it has this, you know, a range of benefits. And also it has antimicrobial properties. So it kills bacteria, virus, fungi, mold on contact, and it also kills cancer cells on contact. So it's a powerful therapy that we're really excited to bring to people because there's still not enough providers who are offering this treatment. And the other treatment we're really excited to provide our patients is called NAD infusions. So NAD is nicotinamide adenosine dinucleotide. It's a molecule that's really crucial for the mitochondria to use for ATP production, so providing the crucial energy, the form of energy that our cells are able to utilize. So unfortunately, as we age, the level of NAD in our body actually plummets and along with it also plummets the mitochondrial function. So we all know mitochondria, you know, sluggishness has a lot to do with all kinds of chronic diseases and also contributes to the aging process. So by replenishing NAD levels, we can actually help revitalize mitochondria and allow better energy production. And what are the benefits of NAD treatment? So it can increase energy production, so it can improve our energy, our mood, our sex drive. It can also help protect our DNA because NAD is a really important molecule utilized by the sirtuin enzyme system. So it's a very famous enzyme system now because it's been shown to have crucial effect on our longevity. So they are important for DNA repair and then life extension. So NAD infusion can provide this anti aging life extending properties. And as far as instances of using nad. So it's great for athletic performance and recovery. It's also really good for problems like fatigue, insulin resistance, fat deposits or vascular inflammation or liver diseases. It's also great for neurological conditions like brain fog, dementia, Parkinson's disease, and it's also good for helping with female fertility and also great for addiction. It's been well known that it can help people wean off addictive substances like alcohol and drugs. And another treatment we're excited to offer to patients at VEA is called Poly mva. It's actually a proprietary blend of alpha lipoic acid and trace nutrients. So it's mainly composed of this entity that's composed of two alpha lipoic acid BL molecules with a palladium atom in the middle. So alpha lipoic acid is actually the strongest antioxidant produced by our body. So it's highly antioxidant. So you know, scavenge free radicals. And then it also contains amino acids that help with liver function, help with methylation. It also has some trace minerals and has some vitamin B1, B2, B6 and B12. So this combination of molecules are really helpful for improving our energy level, for stimulating the immune system. And it can help with our cognition and it also helps inhibiting the abnormal cell growth. So it actually is as these anti neoplasm properties, anti cancer properties. So the uses of this molecule, first of all it can be used again. It's great for athletes for recovery and performance, but also is great for any disease that has component of mitochondria dysfunction. So that includes things like fatigue, fibromyalgia, Lyme disease and certain heart conditions, stroke and vascular conditions. It also is great for adjunct for cancer treatment, has been very helpful to improve survival and quality of life. And it's great for neurological conditions like cognitive decline, dementia as well as neuropathy. And lastly, we also provide A treatment called Plaquex infusion. So plaquex is actually composed of phosphatidylscholine. So this is a molecule that's a major component of our cell membrane. And unfortunately, as we age, the quality of phosphatidylcholine on our cell membrane also decline dramatically because of, you know, exposure to toxins, to heavy metal, to free radicals, and also even blood pressure rises or blood sugar spikes and chronic stress, they can all damage this molecule. And unfortunately, our liver cannot keep up with the production very well as we age. So we're having less healthy phosphatidylcholine to replace the cell membrane. Because of that, when we infuse fresh phosphatidylcholine molecule, we're able to replenish the surface of the cell membrane. So we're actually allowing the membrane to be more fluid to function better, and that will allow better exchange of molecules. So better communication with the outside world, including the transportation of hormones. And the infusion of phosphatidylcholine has been found to be called great for liver health, for kidney health. It's great for reversing and preventing plaque formation. So reversing atherosclerosis, cleaning out our arteries. And it's also great for sexual function and good for memory and for cognition. So as you can see this, you know, by kind of rejuvenating our membrane, we can a lot of things to function a lot better, including our skin health, so help rejuvenate all cells of our body. So that's, you know, we're excited to offer that as well. And so that's kind of a wrap of all the things that we these specialty infusions we do at thea. And, you know, thank you for taking the time to watch this and feel free to contact our clinic, and we'll be very excited to be part of your health journey.
