Probably 80 plus percent of our population is deficient in trace minerals today. So what we're in a sense doing is supporting healthy cell function. Every cell in the body becomes more functional, becomes more healthy, becomes more energetic. Well, then that begins to trickle up to healthier tissue function, organ and system function. You know, we're truly getting into what I call the foundational health. When we talk about humic and fulvic.
When I do stem cell therapy, I make sure people are actually taking a supplement like folvic humic acid. Because stem cells are these new, fresh, healthy, vibrant cells. Very young, very powerful. But they're like seeds, right? They're going into your body, they flourish, they help you repair. But if you have terrible soil, right, there's no nutrient and there's no energy where the cells can thrive in, then, you know, I'm really shooting myself in the foot as obtain a good result.
Hello everybody.
Thank you so much for coming back. I am so happy today that I get to talk about something that I think is so crucial, which is called fulvic acid. So a lot of people don't know anything about it. So I've invited a foremost expert on the subject, Dr. Stuart Hoover. So thank you, Dr. Hoover for coming on board.
That's a pleasure to be with you today.
Yeah. So Let me introduce Dr. Hoover just a little bit. Dr. Hoover got his initial degree in natural health sciences and then he founded Essential to Health Advanced Natural Health center in Springfield, Missouri. And for over two decades, Dr. Hoover has helped thousands around the globe to improve their health naturally. He is a leader in the use of functional blood chemistry analysis and has helped develop an online software program for practitioners who use as a tool to help clients understand their foundational health status. And Dr. Hoover is a board certified in integrative health and is a specialist in the formulation and use of fulvic and humic based products. He serves as the director of professional services for Mother Earth Labs. And Dr. Hoover is known as a leader in the field of functional health and spends much of his time today educating other health professionals and the public and how to improve foundational health and the benefits of incorporating humic and fulvic acid into their daily health regime. So I can't wait for you to enlighten us on this very important subject that few people know about.
Well, I appreciate you having me on today. It is an exciting subject and I tend to find it's a very life changing message for a lot of people out there today that are on this journey for improved health.
That's so exciting. Yeah. So maybe first of all, tell us what fulvic and humic acid are and then we can get to, you know, how it was discovered and how you discovered it.
Absolutely. Well, let me just kind of start a bit with what these substances are. They're actually molecules that are made in the soil. And simply how these molecules are created is when vegetation is broken down in the soil by microorganisms, we get a substance called humate. Within humate, we have these different molecules, humic and fulvic. What determines the classification really is just the size of the molecules. We'll talk a little bit, I'm sure, about this later, about how they work and what they do. But bottom line is these molecules are so important in our health because we should be consuming these in plants that we're eating today, vegetables, things like that. But the problem is that with more commercial farming practices today, we're really destroying the microorganisms in the soil that are used to break vegetation down. Plus we're not resting fields like we used to do, they're just over cultivating today. Really what's happening is we're not getting the benefit of the humate in the soil that helps to bind and chelate vital trace minerals and elements out of the soil into the plant. So when we're eating what we go to the grocery store and buy today, these vegetables that look really good, they're really pretty nutrient void today. They're really engineering food today. That looks good, but it doesn't provide a lot of nutritional support.
Right. Looks robust, but it's empty. I heard we only have 30% of nutrients in our food today than I guess before the Industrial revolution.
Oh, it's amazing when you think of things like cabbage, that used to be a very good source of vitamin C, there's hardly any trace in there today. So you're absolutely right. A lot of the foods that we're consuming today are just nutrient void. And we need these vital nutrients to support our health, especially from a cellular level, which is what I really like to kind of discuss with people about the importance of humic and folvic and its role in cellular health. Because that's really, to me, where our health is won and lost is at the cell level.
Yeah. So how long has the humic and fulvic acid been known as to be crucial for our health?
Well, I mean, it goes back really centuries. If you, if you look at it in Ayurvedic medicine, it's been referenced by shilajit, which is a very similar Substance very widely studied and used in the agricultural field. You know, farmers began to realize that when they were grazing cattle and other livestock that they were running into more and more health problems. And as they began researching, they come to find out that the soil and grasses and plants they were eating were just void of nutrients. So they really began to start replenishing the soil. Now, with Humic and Fulvic out there.
Where did you get it?
It's actually mined. It comes from several mines around the world. We happen work with one that's probably been studied to be the most lush and active mine here in the United States, which is in the Fruitland formation in northern New Mexico. What's interesting is this dates back to the crustaceous period, which was a very lush, clean time on our planet. And actually we had the benefit of a mixture of seawater and fresh water in that region that provides an extremely wide profile of trace minerals. So, you know, this is actually being kind of mined out of the ground and utilized in various applications, whether it's agriculture or human application today.
That's wonderful. So the farmers were way ahead of us physicians. They were trying to heal their cattle and their livestock.
Absolutely. You know, it's interesting kind of being in this space when I learn about how things are addressed with animals and cattle that's almost more stringent than people. You know, it's an interesting thing, but I. You know, I found out about Humic and Fulvic about 15 years ago. I was at a continuing ed conference in Austin, Texas, Heard a biochemist that founded Mother Earth Labs talking about Humic and Fulvic. I'd never heard of these substances before, and, you know, it really began to change my whole thinking about how I approached supplementation in our practice. You know, when I came back, I walked into my clinic. I'm looking at a room full of 250 products, and I just found myself standing there for a minute going, what are we doing with all these products? When really so much of what I found is the missing link is incorporating Humic and Fulvic into our daily regime to really begin to support and improve cellular function, first and foremost. Over the next few years, I began to dramatically change our approach to how we were supporting our patients in the clinic with supplementation. What was interesting, as we began to simplify and reduce, we got better benefits. I know that's a little bit of a strange thing for people to hear, but in our world, what we began to find out is less is more. I love the simplicity of that. Yes. Because I think People today, I think we're kind of reaching this, this plateau of just taking handfuls of products and wondering, are they really working? For me, I've just found most people, they don't stay with things very long. I find practitioners are kind of getting burnout on putting people on 6, 8, 12 different supplements today. So this, this is very refreshing to find out that there's a better way.
To do it in the longevity field is getting out of control. People are coming to me taking 30, 40 supplements because everything is helpful and they believe that just piling them on. And I, first of all, I mean, that's like a full meal, right? Taking the supplements and how much fillers and how much, first of all, how much of those are you ingesting? And then you're bombarding your body with a, you know, either one, one substance or, you know, or, or maybe a group of substances. And, and, but then it's large amount all.
Absolutely.
So how much burden might it place on the body? Right. So I understand the fulvic acid and humic, they're able to carry these trace amounts of what's essential for the body.
That's right.
Into the cells. So tell us the difference between using something carrying trace amounts versus bombarding your body with large amounts from a supplement.
This is one of my favorite topics. You know, I coined a term years ago called nutraceutically induced toxicity.
Oh.
And I used to see this just like yourself, doctor, in the practice where people are coming in and they're just bringing bags of products in and you're right, they're marketed thinking, well, if I take this, it's going to help this symptom or condition. And what ends up happening is they start getting all this overlap of all of these nutrients, you know, in our body, which is just an amazing chemistry project, right. That we have to have balance. And you know, when we're taking substances even like vitamin C, there should be cofactors, things that actually help that the body recognize and use that nutrient. Well, unfortunately, in the nutraceutical industry today, you know, things are researched. They kind of strip it down and go, well, this is really important. So let's just mega dose this and then we remove all of the supporting cofactors and the body really has to try to put all these pieces together, which in turn can create more depletion problems. So from a cellular level, you know, nature really provided everything we need in our food. You know, but let's, let's go back now. Like we were talking earlier, you know, before the Industrial revolution, when we were growing things, we didn't have all the pollutants, commercial farming practices, you know, we, we were getting all the nutrition we needed out of our food. Well, we're no longer getting that today. So this is why the supplement business has really blown up. But the problem is, is we are using crystalline forms, synthetic forms that are not recognizable to the body. As you mentioned, you look at the back of the bottle and you see these daily allowances that are 2,800%. Do we really need 2800% of that? Probably not. The reason we're pushing that amount in is we may just get a fraction of it into the cell. So what I found is we started really integrating humic and fulvic in, because these are in nature. When you take a molecule of humic and fulvic within that molecule, you have the proper balance of trace minerals and elements in there. Now trace minerals are critical. They're what I call critical catalyst in the body. If we don't have the right balance of trace minerals, we can't metabolize vitamins which people are taking. And a lot of times people think of minerals as magnesium and calcium and potassium. But we have these other 72 plus trace minerals that have to be in the proper form to even help metabolize those. I always recommend people to google the mineral wheel. I don't know if you've ever had the opportunity to look at the mineral wheel, but if you pull that up, it shows all the interactions of all the trace minerals together and kind of what supports and what antagonizes. And it's just mind boggling to try to figure this out. Like, well, how much copper do I need? How much, you know, zinc do I need?
And saying if you give too much of one, you could just tilt, you.
Just throw the other one off.
Yes.
And it becomes real burdensome for the body and creates more stress. So what I love about humic and Folvic is you have the proper balance of these trace minerals and elements in the right biological form that the body can recognize and use. So we, it takes the guesswork out of it to where the body knows what to use. Plus fulvic, especially fulvic, which is a smaller, more bioactive molecule that moves through the gut, all the way through the blood brain barrier. What that means is it gets all the way to all the cells in the body, all the way down to the mitochondrial membrane. It's providing this wealth of these trace elements that the body can recognize and use. And if there happens to be Too much of one mineral, it can actually bind and reduce and pull that safely out of the body. It's almost like a conductor of really complex orchestra in the body to help maintain balance. That's what I love about incorporating humic and fulvic into our health regime today.
Well, that's really interesting. A small molecule like that would have, I wouldn't call it intelligence, but somehow nature has designed in a way that it's able to carry the proper balance of, of things. I guess maybe because it in early stages of evolution, that's how life evolved with, with this amount of whatever this molecule can carry. I mean it's, it's a, it's a symphony, right?
It's absolute symphony.
Yeah. The forming of life and this substance that can recycle nutrients within life and then they just kind of co evolved.
Well, you think, you think back, you know, just even 75, 100 years ago, we didn't have all these pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals out there. We were depending on food, you know, for health and support. I mean, you look back even in history at all of the big plagues and diseases and how were these addressed? By finding out there were nutrient deficiencies, you know, like scurvy in things that ended up being vitamin C deficiencies and things. So yes, nature provides everything we need. The problem is we've just stripped it down today to where we're no longer getting it. So what I love about humic and phobic is we're kind of going back full circle and really beginning to introduce these molecules that are really essential for cellular health. And when we talk about cellular health, I look at the body is trillions of cells that make up tissue than organs and systems. Well today, regardless of what form of medicine we're working in so many times, we're just looking at dysfunction in the system or organ which is a byproduct of poor cellular function. It just trickles up. But it's very methodical as cells begin to lose function, lose energy. It's not like we just shut down that day. It's a slow ins that eventually will show up as maybe the liver is not functioning right or the immune system or heart. With humic and fulvic, what we're literally doing is supporting the cell to produce better energy, to absorb nutrients more efficiently, to provide the right biological support of these critical trace minerals and elements to help with energy improvement. As far as how well the body produces energy and also how well we can detox and draw toxins from inside the cell out what we're in a sense doing is supporting healthy cell function. Every cell in the body becomes more functional, becomes more healthy, becomes more energetic. Well, then that begins to trickle up to healthier tissue function, organ and system function. What we're really doing is when I use the word foundational health, as we're truly setting back a stronger foundation that, you know, it's like a house. I mean, you can paint a house, you can put new windows in it and a new roof on it, but if you got a horrible foundation, it's going to fall down eventually. So we really, you know, we're truly getting into what I call the foundational health. When we talk about humic and fulvic.
Yeah, yeah, that's fantastic. So, so the fulvic and humic, what kind of nutrients do they carry besides the trace minerals? They carry different things.
They do. There's amino acids in there as well. You know, depending on the, you know, the soil, what, what, what the vegetation profiles were in the soil, you would get other nutrients as well that would be in there, even some macro minerals, things like that. So, but you know, the key is really the trace minerals and trace elements that are in there. So I really kind of refer to that more as these essential catalyst. And when we look at nutrient deficiencies today, one of the top ranking nutrient deficiencies is trace minerals. Probably 80 plus percent of our population is deficient in trace minerals today. But we're running around taking excess calcium, excess magnesium, maybe potassium. Again, the body has a very difficult time metabolizing and regulating those that can become problematic because then we can start storing these minerals and tissues, especially like calcium, which can store on bones, which can create things like bone spurs. It can store in cardiovascular tissue, which can also contribute to plaki buildup, which is a big problem with people today. So this is why, again, we've got to step back and think about what is really essential first that we need in the body. And that's why I love this approach.
Yeah, I just did a podcast with Dr. Alan Christensen who talks about the iodine toxicity, the over supplementation of iodine. Really, we have all the iodine we need. But this push to get more and more iodine, the, the, the diseases of the thyroid has skyrocketed since we started supplementing iodine. So we are, we're just, we're completely tipping the balance. We're, you know, the, the minerals may, you know, I guess iodine specifically have a very narrow range, you know, the therapeutic window. So, but, you know, I'm sure other minerals Will have a similar window.
So again, when you, you look at the mineral wheel I mentioned, you look at iodine and look at all the interactions with other trace minerals that have to be there in the right form to even metabolize iodine. And then we, you know, with, with iodine, we're also have an influence of a lot of toxins, what we call competing haloids in the body, which would be fluoride and chlorine bromide. You know, these are things we're exposed to every day that are competing for receptor space, you know, with that. So one of the beauties of humic and phobic, other than delivering these trace minerals in energizing the cell membrane, is their ability to chelate and bind metals, heavy metals that build up in the body and safely remove toxins like chlorine and fluoride, these types of things. So it also acts as a cleanup source to the body. We hear a lot about detoxification today. And detox is a process that's going on 247 every second of every day of our body. Our liver, our kidneys, our lymphatic system are all moving toxins through the body. And what I have found over the two decades in using humic and fulvic is it just provides one of the absolute best detoxification supports to help these exit mechanisms pull toxins out of the body, Even in the gut. We hear a lot about glyphosate toxicity today, which is the root cause of leaky gut. A lot of people have heard of leaky gut today. Glyphosate. We're all exposed to this. It's roundup is probably the name most people know it by, but it just really destroys the tight cell junctions in our gut. Humic, which is a larger molecule, works primarily in the gut. And one of the things it can effectively do is bind glyphosate, pull it out of the gut, and that begins to help reduce the toxic load on the gut and the oxidating process. So now the gut membrane begins to heal. And I work with a lot of practitioners that specialize in leaky gut repair or the microbiome. And using humic and fulvic in protocols is producing tremendous results.
Do you always use both fulvic and humic? And what's the difference between the two?
Absolutely. When you hear the only difference between humic and fulvic is the molecular size. Humic molecules are larger than fulvic. Fulvic are the smaller, more bioactive molecules. The humic molecules can't pass through the gut membrane, the fulvic molecules, can they move all the way again through to all cellular membranes. So I think using both is important, especially as we begin to introduce these into the body. Because most people, and again, I would say 80 plus percent of our population has some level of gut dysfunction or leaky gut that's been well studied. So, you know, getting humic on board to help support gut health and then fulvic to really begin moving through all cells in the systems is critical. So really you're not going to go wrong with incorporating both into the plan.
Right? So the humic can grab toxins in the gut lumen and then the fulvic can go inside the cells and grab toxins within the cell.
Within the cell. You know, so many times we think about, you know, taking antioxidants. A lot of people have heard in your field with anti aging, right? I mean, the key, you know, our body is doing two things every second of every day. It's aging and trying to regenerate. Right. And we want to maintain balance. You know, the challenge is most people are oxidizing twice as quick as they're regenerating. And a lot of it is just influences like breathing toxic air, you know, drinking toxic water or beverages that are toxic, consuming toxins. So our body is constantly being bombarded, which is happening kind of outside the cell. So a lot of times we're taking antioxidants to help get in the terrain, I call it the extracellular environment, to kind of protect the cell. But there's a lot of toxicity going on inside the cell because when we produce energy, just like a car engine, we produce exhaust, which is called metabolic waste when we lose the function of the cell membrane. We talked about how folvic helps get nutrients in, but it also helps to energize that membrane so toxins can move more freely outside of the cell. I think over time what we've experienced is that now we really can address this anti aging process more effectively by supporting intracellular oxidation processes, not just trying to handle it all from outside the cell.
I see. I remember you talking about changing the electrical charge of cell membrane. So how does it do that?
Well, with the complement of the trace minerals, when we think about our body, we often just think of it as chemistry, but the body is electrical as well. Every single cell in the body is like a little generator of electricity. So on the cell membrane we have an electrical charge. It's positive on one side, negative on the other. And as fulvic moves through the membrane, it increases and amplifies that charge. So it's almost like a battery charger in a sense, ensuring that we're maintaining a healthy electrical capacitance to the cell membrane. So we maintain that proper polarity, that balance, that negative will be the benefit.
Of increasing that, improving that balance.
Life energy production, regeneration, sustainability of cellular function. To me, what I have found over the years is this electrical capacitance is really the key, key, I think, to maintaining in not only maintaining, I think first obtaining and then maintaining optimal health. Because what's happening is our cells are just dying quickly today is what's happening. It's almost like they're suffocating. It's just we begin to lose this function. It's almost like a bad remote for a tv. How many times do we sit there and we keep clicking and going, well, it's not quite working properly, but I just keep doing it and then eventually it's like, well, maybe I got to change the battery. That's kind of going on with our body. It's that slow process where we just start to lose voltage and we start to lose dysfunction. And that may show up as possibly this poor energy loss of stamina. Maybe we notice our skin changing, where we start noticing drier skin or quickly aging skin, or maybe it's something worse like poor glycemic regulation or even worse than that, some chronic. But it all begins with the cell basically losing function and health. That is really the true story to humic and fulvic is how it has the ability to maintain that proper electrical balance with the cell membrane so it can thrive and do everything that it was designed to do.
Yeah, yeah, that's a great explanation. And this is probably why when I do stem cell therapy, I make sure people are actually taking a supplement like fulvic humic acid. You know, I talk about stem cells are these new, fresh, healthy, vibrant cells, right? These are the, the cells I use umbilical cord derived stem cells. Very young, very powerful. But they're like seeds, right? They're going into your body and they help you unit, they, they flourish, they help you repair. But if you have terrible soil, right, there's no nutrient and there's, there's no energy where the cells can thrive in, then, you know, I'm really shooting myself in the foot as far as trying to obtain a good result for patient. So I want the patient to understand that they need to prime the soil. They need to provide an environment where everything can, can regenerate properly, right?
That's the key to It, I love that terminology because really, you know, the terrain, when you think about our body, it's mostly water and cel and. Right. The terrain is everything that surrounds the cell. And you're right, that's like our inner soil. And if we can't, if the cells lose activity, they lose that viability to, to produce energy, to absorb nutrients, to remove toxins, then everything just becomes stagnant, in a sense, in the body. And it now this, this soil just becomes tainted. And you're right, you're taking these highly energetic new cells and just putting them into an environment that, you know, they probably have a little chance of really reaching full success in. And, and I've worked with a lot of practitioners, do stem cell therapy, and as they begin to incorporate humic and Fulvic, they just see such better results. And, you know, and that's what we're all after. We want everybody to just have maximum benefit and results with these processes and therapies that we're using today.
Yeah. So that's another thing I want to ask you, maybe share some of the cases or stories you've seen of where incorporating these two molecules really made a difference for patients.
Well, our practice, we saw everything, I'd say probably the last 10 years, we became almost this last stop practice. People that were either, you know, had these chronic illnesses that weren't being addressed or even terminal. And, you know, I hate, I hate to throw out, you know, treating because we never treated anything other than, you know, supporting the body from a cellular perspective. So, you know, we've seen everything from, you know, reversals with, you know, blood sugar issues which plague so many people today.
Just fulvic and humic.
Just with fulvic and humic, you know, I, as you mentioned, I kind of, I really put a lot of weight on functional blood chemistry. And that was kind of, you know, a metric we would use with people when they would come in because the chemistry can tell us a lot about foundational health. And as we began to incorporate Humic and Folvic, we would begin to see better shifts in the body's chemistry, knowing that we're reducing burdens on these different systems. So it really impacts everything. I mean, you know, we've had people, I have clients that, you know, I worked with that came in with terminal cancers that were able to overcome. And 10 years later, they're still around people that were looking to really finally get a handle on weight reduction the right way by improving cellular function. As I mentioned, we really specialized in what I call dysglycemia. Which was blood sugar dysregulation, which most people are plagued with today, and saw remarkable turnarounds with people as we began to incorporate humic and phobic. And how we measured this is not just looking at a person's morning glucose level. We would do what we call an A1C, which is a three month blood sugar range of where people are, and we would see tremendous improvements there. To me, what that was telling us is that we were improving how well the cell could utilize glucose, which is kind of the gasoline. Right. The fuel for the cell. And as we begin to improve that, not only were people's. People were seeing energy improvement, metabolism improvement, cognitive health. This is a big one we probably don't talk enough about, but we just kind of accept this cognitive decline as this, well, this part of aging. I'm getting older, I'm forgetting things. My recall, mental acuity begins to decrease. And I'm not talking about people in their 60s or 70s. We hear this from people in their 20s and 30s today. And we've seen remarkable turnarounds just in even mental acuity and in brain function. Incorporating humic and fulvic.
Wow, that's wonderful.
Yeah.
And you mentioned something about seeing people maybe getting a treatment, getting some supplements, but have very variable results until incorporated folving and humic.
Yeah, exactly. I witnessed this in the beginning when I started becoming introduced to humic and fulvic. And like a lot of practitioners, you have a hard time letting go sometimes of things that you've used. But what I found interesting is, you know, I would have patients coming in that presented with similar symptoms or maybe blood testing was telling us the same thing. We had protocols we would put people on. I would see some people respond and some people didn't respond as well. And when we began incorporating especially fulvic in, we began to see a leveling of the playing field. Now people were responding more consistently. I work with thousands of practitioners around the globe today. That's pretty much the way my day is set up. And I hear this consistently from practitioners going, I just don't know why I don't get consistency with these product protocols. And the first thing I tell them is, don't change anything. Just include fulvic and watch what happens. And lo and behold, you know, four weeks, six, eight weeks later, I'm on the phone with them and they're going, you know, I'm seeing more consistency. And what that is telling us is that we were able to increase the cellular energy, improving that cell membrane health. And function. So now, as they were introducing supplements, the cell could actually utilize them more consistently. So I tell everybody out there today that, you know, if you're taking something and you're. You're concerned with, maybe it's not really doing what it needs to do. For me, one of the insurance policies is add fulvic into the process and you're in. What you're doing is you're enhancing the bioavailability of that substance and not just taking supplements. If you're changing diet and eating healthier food, we want to make sure that we're getting maximum benefits from those nutrients in the foods. And Fulvic can certainly help support that.
Yeah, yeah. That's wonderful. And I love that you already described why you're choosing this, you know, to work with the company Mother Earth Labs, using their products partially because it came from a very rich, I guess, layer of the earth that contains maybe the most nutrient dense humic and fulvic acid.
Absolutely, yeah. When I first got into this, I'm a big. I have to vet everything out, and I spent a lot of time kind of researching where, where does this come from? And quickly realize that through studies that this has been proven to be one of the best formations on the planet. Cleanest, highest activity level. And as I began to research products on the market, I quickly realized that the concentration levels of these molecules as many times, two or three times over, what are really considered good products on the market. There are good products out there, but I. I look at it like, well, if I'm going to use something, I want to make sure I'm getting the maximum benefit from it. And a lot of it does come down to concentration. You know, somebody may hear about humic and fulvic today, and they just may run out and start buying anything. I encourage people to always ask questions, learn about the concentration levels, the sources, because sometimes you'll buy things and there's. I call it fairy dusting. There's just very little of the substance in there, you know, so it really does come down to the source and concentration. Mother labs been around 20 years. They really kind of have led the charge in humic and folvic in human application here in the United States. And I'm proud to be part of that. I've been working with them now for close to 15 years.
Yeah. And there are two forms. One is liquid and one is the capsules. Will there be difference in the potency.
Of the different forms on the humic and fulvic? And that's what we have in a liquid or capsules? No, the dosing is the same one, one capsule to one milliliter of the liquid. Okay. Now the fulvic, we have a proprietary way of separating the molecules. So we have a separate Fulvic concentrate which is called our Fulvic 400X. And the reason we have that separated is, you know, Fulvic again is the one molecule that's crossing the blood brain barrier. So that's getting to all the cells in the body. I love to incorporate Fulvic separately. Like mid morning, in mid afternoon, just have people put a milliliter in a drop in a glass of water. And what we're doing is we're just infusing that inner soil that you beautifully explained earlier with these active molecules. So we're helping to support that trace mineral delivery all day. We're helping to support proper glycemic regulation. We're really just supporting cellular energetics all through the day. And I've just seen great benefits with people kind of incorporate, you know, using humic and folded morning and evening and then incorporating that extra fold, that kind of mid morning and mid afternoon. That's a very simple protocol and works extremely well.
Okay, that's wonderful. Oh, just before I forget. So, so the, the Mother Earth labs did kindly give our listeners a 10 off. So there's a code uplift 10. So I'm going to list, I'm going to put in the show note, you know, where to get it and the coupon code. So thank you very much. So the, it's interesting, the, the mining of the Fulvic humic is reminding me of the oil industry. Right. Drilling into the earth, grabbing this energy source, you know, or this, you know, therapeutic source. So are we ever going to run out?
Like not, certainly not in the next few lifetimes. It's a very lush, very extensive, I guess, supply of this in the soil and it's done in a way that's not harmful to the earth as well. And you know, another important thing is we use an aqueous extraction, which is a water extraction. You know, a lot of what I found is a lot of these processes, they may use a chemical extraction process which can actually influence the molecule because then the molecule kind of binds to the chemicals. So we do, we use a pure water extraction. So we're actually preserving those molecules and not influencing with other toxins, which is important.
Yeah, that's wonderful. I'm so glad to hear. Yeah. So any other words of wisdom for our listeners about how they can enhance their health and just maybe things that you want to share about humic and phobic.
Well, I think again, being in this industry for close to 30 years now, I think we've just kind of reached this overload process, seen this massive shift in this nutraceutical paradigm. Today. We're in what I kind of call a green allopathic space today. I used to see this with clients coming in the clinic that they were prescribed medications and they were concerned with side effects. So they'd come to me and go, well, what can I use to not have to take the prescription? It was interesting how people would take six or seven supplements to try to manage cholesterol or blood pressure versus taking the one prescription. So it really has just become kind of this management system. Is it better? Maybe less. I don't even know if I could call it less stressful on the body because like we said earlier, many times we're putting so many supplements in the body and if we don't have that cellular energy and that cellular membrane function properly occurring, we can actually put a lot of stress and damage on our body from these supplements. So to me, I think the big takeaway today is coming back to nature, putting back in what we really were designed to have, simplifying the process to reduce stress on the body first. And I think when we can start there, get the cells functioning better, get the gi. The gut microbiome in better order, which human can fold the kelp with. To me, cellular function and gut health are really the two foundations. And when we can focus there and begin to regain that healthy function, really the need for all this other stuff becomes less and less. And that's a great thing.
Yeah, thank you for that. That's really great words of wisdom. And just one last question. How many supplements do you take?
You know, I use actually four products a day. I use the Humic and fulvic. In our fulvic 400x, we have a new product. I use a daily. We have a wonderful daily product that I use, which again, comes back to all the proper forms in the right ratios. That just applies a lot of the other missing things that we're not getting in our diet today. And then I use our cardioactive product, which I'm very active. I play a lot of golf, play pickleball. My wife and myself are outdoors a lot in my early 60s, so I'm really cognizant of cardiovascular health. And we've developed a product called Cardioactive that really just supports the whole cardiovascular system, helps with improved nitric oxide production, which is maybe another show which taps into everything. And that's it. That that's my regimen for the day. Yeah.
All right. I love it. Love the simplicity. Thank you. So hopefully people are going to recognize that just by dumping bottles and bottles of supplements inside their body is not only may not be beneficial, but it could be harmful. And think about how they want to prime this soil that's crucial to our happiness. So thank you so much for coming onto the show. I think it's very, very enlightening and interesting. Much needed discussion. So thank you for your work and.
Thank you for sharing and vice versa. Dot com. We certainly appreciate your partnership and support. And I hope this is a great message for everybody today.
