Dr. Joy Kong explains that we die because stem cells become exhausted, so the body can't replace damaged cells anymore. Without cellular turnover, organs fail to maintain basic function. This depletion causes wrinkles and gray hair on the surface, but the real damage happens inside as organs gradually shut down.

Why do we have to die? Maybe one day we're going to prevent that. But right now, we know that people run out of stem cells. If we are degenerating, degenerating, you know, things are running low on fuel, and then you're not replacing any of these damaged cells. You just, you know, wrinkles start to show, you know, hair start to gray, and then, you know, all the functions in the inside of the body, organs are also, also degenerating. You just don't see it. All you see is the outside. But guess what? You're aging everywhere. So one reason you're aging like that is because your body cannot replace. The damaged cells. So all your cells are getting older and your body's just not keeping up. Why do we die? Well, if you run out of stem cells to replace all the damaged cells, then your organs, you know, just start to not functioning very well. You know, eventually everything shuts down. We're looking at what can we do to prevent that.
