Burger King once surprised everybody by openly saying that McDonald's fries are better than their own fries. Sounds strange, right? But this was a crazy marketing strategy by Burger King itself. In 2021, Burger King partnered with a delivery app called Rappi in Brazil. They asked the delivery executives to do something very crazy while going to the customer's house, pick up fries from McDonald's, and deliver it to their address along with their Burger King order. Why? Because Burger King's claim was while they have the best burger, McDonald's has the best fries. Yes, they had to call their fries not the best. But by doing that, they were able to successfully prove that they are truly Burger King. Customer reactions were crazy and this immediately went viral. However, this could not last for very long. McDonald's pulled out all his stores from the Rappi app, and Burger King sadly had to end this campaign.
