In this YouTube video, veteran Kathak dancer Kaberi Dutta Chatterjee, now 58, returns to the stage after a 27‑year break, performing a home recital together with her devoted students. The film captures her graceful footwork, expressive gestures, and the rhythmic dialogue with accompanying music, while interspersed commentary reveals her reflections on age, energy, and the joy of teaching. Her spoken instructions—mixing Turkish, Hindi, and English—offer practical tips on maintaining stamina, executing precise footwork, and embracing the spirit of the dance. The intimate setting underscores how classical dance can thrive in a domestic environment, highlighting the bond between teacher and students and celebrating the continuity of Kathak tradition across generations.
