My 1995 Planchette Story | The Science of Ghosts | Author Kaberi D. Chatterjee's story

In this inaugural episode of a new podcast series tied to her upcoming book WTF: What the Fuck I Found God, Kaberi D. Chatterjee opens with a dramatic hook about unseen 8‑dimensional entities before diving into a personal recount of a 1995 planchette/coin‑moving experiment she performed with her brother, his friend, and later her husband. She describes how a coin placed in a chalk‑drawn circle began to move on its own, spelling out the name of an Irish woman who had drowned, and how the phenomenon persisted in daylight, reacting to the presence of family members. Chatterjee interprets this encounter through a speculative physics lens, arguing that ghosts are formless “data” residing in the 8th dimension—an arena where, according to string theory, objects lose physical form and cannot be touched. She extends the discussion to the 6th and 7th dimensions, likening digital media, omnipresent video streams, and holograms to higher‑dimensional experiences, and cites popular scientists (Neil deGrasse Tyson, Michio Kaku) to lend credibility. The monologue also serves as a promotional platform for her book’s second edition, slated for release on June 20 2026 at the 50th Kolkata Book Fair, and teases a forthcoming series of podcasts that will further explore these ideas. Throughout, she urges listeners to comment on their belief in ghosts, promising that the episode will change their minds.

Stop what you're doing. Look at your hand. You think it's solid, right? You think you can touch anything because we live in a totally normal 3-dimensional world. But what if I told you right now, in this exact room, something is standing next to you that you can't touch? What? You can't touch it, and it has absolutely no physical form. No, I'm not talking about the Wi-Fi signal. I'm not talking about any radio signals. I'm talking about— yes, hold on to that thought. You are right. In the 8th dimension, according to string theory, In theory, there will be no physical existence of any objects that is present in it, and the objects will lose form whatsoever. Objects in this dimension will not be able to touch anything, nor can anything touch it. It is like our digital world, or like the souls of the dead, or the energy that dissipates into the universe after a person is dead. Which are formless and cannot touch anything, but it can go through anything. It can be anywhere, any part of the world. Whenever you think of thinking of it, it can be there and can move into any dimensions like ghosts. And according to quantum physics and string theory, they aren't magic. They might just be data from the 8th dimension. Welcome back to my pod. Today we are completely breaking reality. So my podcasts are going to be different from now onwards, totally off reality, okay? And buckle up for that. This is the first official podcast of our new series based off my book, my upcoming book, What the Fuck, I Found God. So we're skipping the boring intro about you subscribing and sharing, and I'll leave the link of the book below. Obviously it is getting published, republished from India, the Second edition of this book is getting republished for the Indian audience, and it's going to be launched at the Kolkata Book Fair, 50th Kolkata Book Fair. So watch out for for that, and hopefully I'll be able to be there with you guys when the book is launched. Let's talk about it. Let's talk about ghosts. So if before I start, let me tell you: Do you believe in ghosts? Yes or no? Right now, write it down in the comment section, because by the end of this video, end of this trip to the multiverse, your answer is going to change and you will edit your comment. I can guarantee you that. Okay, let's make this personal. And I, I used to laugh at ghost stories back in 1995, and none of you were born probably at that time. My brother, his friend, and I were at the exact age when you think you're too cool for religion Too smart for the supernatural and too wise, you know, for the market, for the upcoming world. So we were in my brother's bedroom having a sleepover, cracking jokes, and we decided to try an experiment. Blanchett. We took a piece of chalk and drew a massive circle on the floor, on the cement floor. We placed a single coin right at the dead center. We put our fingertips lightly on the cold metal and closed our eyes, and calling out for the soul of the legendary filmmaker, Shuttuji Ray, who had just passed, because we didn't know what else to do. And Ray didn't show up, but something did. Something did. And today, my brother's friend, if he's watching, my brother, if he's watching, they'll be able to vouch and say Yes, something did. Even my husband, he was also into it. We were not married then, but he was also into it. Coins started moving involuntarily. I wasn't sliding it, it wasn't agitated or jerking across the floor. It just began sliding from letter to letter, spelling out a name. It told us it was an Irish woman Who had died by drowning in a river in Ireland. Presently, I don't know. I'm just alone at the house. Some little, little. But you know, they can harm you. They cannot really harm you, and they do not want to harm. I've been there. I've done that. I know they do not want to harm you. I got terrified. I pulled my finger away, and the coin stopped dead instantly because it needed all three of our energies to motivate to move at that time because it had come through all three of us. The moment I put my finger back, it surged with energy again. It was literally draining our physical 3D energy to manifest itself. This wasn't a one-time glitch. This woman followed me, followed my brother also. We did it in broad daylight with my cousins watching and my aunt walking in and out of the room, and the coin would still move all across the floor. It was, it was getting agitated when it saw my aunt walking in. What was the name of this woman? Walking in and out, so we tried to, you know, close the door, at least keep the door closed. At that time we didn't even need concentration, we just touched the coin and it would appear. It was so nearby, she was so nearby. She even spelled out the name of the man I would marry. At that time we were just going around. 2 years later I married the guy. And it's been 31 long years of marriage. We got so scared after that, a few days later we stopped Completely. But for 30 years, I've been asking myself, 31 years, what was that? This is where science flips your brain upside down. Are ghosts just 8D data? Are they from the 8th dimension? Because if you read my book, you'll find out what are the dimensions, like first dimension, obviously second, third, you know. I'm talking to you guys who are already into this kind of thing, you know, physical dimensions. And since science is almost, you know, theoretically being able to observe dimensions, theoretically we are already there mentally. And what happens when people— how does science prove something? When you imagine that first, that's the time science starts proving it, right? So this is where science flips your bean upside down. String theory states that when you reach the 8th dimension, physical objects lose their form entirely. Nothing can touch anything else, and nothing has a shape. So think about our digital world. A Wi-Fi doesn't have a shape. A YouTube video doesn't have a physical body. A WhatsApp call is just a formless energy traveling through space. We can't see the Starlink links that send us Wi-Fi. We cannot see those, measure those radio waves. So if we can believe in intangible radio waves— when you flip a remote to switch on your TV, you cannot see the invisible ray that is touching the TV screen, or the, you know, exact way you're telling the— you're talking to the remote. You believe in that. But you cannot believe in ghosts, that they too exist in this entire ether space. Physicists and theologians actually agree on one core rule: energy is never lost. So when a body dies, the physical shell is gone, but the energy, the soul, dissipates into the universe. Very recently, I heard a podcast by a very famous scientist, Neil deGrasse Tyson. You must have heard of him or must have been following him. So I've been following him quite closely, and who said that it would take an energy from a cremated body traveling at the speed of light to reach Andromeda Galaxy in just 4 years. So in 4 years, the, the energy from a cremated body would travel into space if it is unblocked, if it is— if it doesn't have any Maya or any Attachment to the world, it just travels through space, and it can. It is so much released; it just goes into the with all the dimensions past goes past the dimensions into the outer into the outer space. So what if we uns what if that unsatisfied energy slides into the eighth dimension? Eighth dimension is where unsatisfied energies live. They are energies who have not fulfilled their desires in the planet. And they have gone without them planning to go, and on the right— not on the right time. So they still have attachments left on this planet, and they are in the 8th dimension. So if that energy slides into the 8th dimension, it becomes formless, floating piece of data that can move across dimensions but cannot physically touch our 3D world. It can glide over us, it can move through buildings anywhere in the It can move across dimensions. It's a ghost. When we did plant shit, we weren't opening a magical portal. We were accidentally letting in that 8D energy frequency interact with our 3D hardware. I just came back from the 7th dimension. What? But wait, it gets wilder. To understand how these entities interact with us, We have to look at the dimensions right around it. I just came back from the seventh dimension. Wow! This makes a very good YouTube video next, right? As I explained in my book, this book WTF What the Fuck I Found God. In the sixth dimension, you conquer space and time. You can be multiple places at once, and you can take on many forms. Honestly, humans have already awkwardly been trying to hack the 8th dimension today. When you upload a video, YouTube video on YouTube, the thousands of people are watching all over the globe in different time zones. You're already existing in the 6th dimension because you are, you are existing, you're omnipresent. You are existing in different parts of the world at the same time. Or when you use a 3D hologram to appear in front of whole room all the way across the world. You are virtually breaking the space-time continuum, right? Think about the ancient stories of gods who appeared— who appeared to have been floating down on massive chunks of light to give messages to prophets, right? What if they weren't floating on clouds? What if they were just advanced humans from a different, higher dimension? Sending a 3D virtual hologram or making a 6D WhatsApp call to our ancestors who didn't even understand technology at that time. They thought it was magic. Conclusion: What the fuck is a brown god? Look, science is still a toddler. A few decades ago, scientists swore the atom was smallest thing in the universe. Now they built a massive collider to find the Higgs boson God particle. Now physicists like Michio Kaku are saying that the string is actually the smallest thing in the universe. Like what scientists thought baloney sometimes ago are exploring the possibilities of those ideas today. Science is just imagination Every time we think we know something, from the subatomic vibrating strings of the 11th dimension to the massive ever-expanding cosmos, you have to ask the ultimate question: does God exist in these tiny strings or in the giant multiverse? My answer? We find out in the book. And you will find your own answer in the book. And I want you to say, yes, found God. These higher dimensions—I mean, when I'm talking about these higher dimensions, and I'm thinking of this podcast reaching you thirty years ahead of time, maybe I won't be there. But when you read, when you hear this, you will be telling me, didn't find God then? We found God. Right? These higher dimensions and parallel universes are the exact places ancient cultures called heaven or hell or paradise. It's where our formless 3D, 8D energy goes when we die, swallowed by the wormhole and transported to a completely different plane of reality. It's a massive jigsaw puzzle and we are just beginning to untangle it. If your mind is officially blown, hit the subscribe button right now, okay? Because I'm going to come up with a series of podcasts after this, hoping, hoping that, you know, I can do this before the launch. The first launch date of the book with a different cover, which I'm going to give— the book hasn't been published, so there's a different cover. This is the first edition cover. So this new book, this book you'll find in Amazon anyway. But second edition is coming out with much more updated because everyday science is evolving so much. When I published this book in 2021, facts have like changed hugely. So I have this book is updated, which is getting published in 2026 on June 20th. It's the official publication date. It's getting published from Kolkata, and I want you guys, Kolkataans, to read this book. Book because it is perfect for you. So drop in your comments and share this with a friend who loves an existential crisis, and keep your eyes peeled for my upcoming podcast. See you next time. Bye-bye.
