In this video, the speaker shares how a tour of an industrial chicken facility profoundly altered their perception of food and sparked a shift to raising pasture‑raised chickens. The overwhelming smell and realization of the disconnect between store‑bought chicken and personal consumption motivated them to try backyard poultry, despite early failures. They report health improvements, notably the reduction of brain fog, and a deeper connection to the land. The speaker concludes by promoting a free chicken‑raising workshop and a community group for both beginners and experienced homesteaders, inviting viewers to join via a link in their bio.

Chickens changed my life. That may seem pretty dramatic to say, but in all reality, it's the truth. Before I became a RegeneraVag cheerleader, I found myself touring a chicken house facility. My experience there completely changed the way that I view food and the way I feel connected to the land. First of all, the smell completely knocked me off my feet. It's hard to breathe in there. And to think that I was eating this and feeding my family this, it really highlighted the disconnect that I had with the food that I eat. I hate to burst your bubble, but that food doesn't just arrive at Walmart. So from that experience, I thought, what would it be like to raise our own chickens? And I wrestled my way through it, failed a bunch of times, but pivoting from buying industrialized chicken from the store to raising pasture-raised birds, I'll just name one benefit. There's many. First thing that I noticed, my brain fog started to go away. And then of course, that becomes the gateway to all the other foods. But most importantly, it connects you to the land. And guys, we've been disconnected for far too long. We have a free chicken workshop in our school community at the end of the month. We have hundreds of people on this group from beginners to very experienced homesteaders. There's a place for you there. Check out the link in my bio.
