It's a theology of distance where I'm down here and He's up there. The day after I gave birth to Levi, and I noticed the next morning when I woke up, there was distance between myself and Father that I put there because things went sideways. I heard Holy Spirit very clearly say, "You can use this to put distance between us, but you can also use this to draw nearer to Me than you ever have." Even in the midst of disappointment and questions that I will probably never have answers to, I saw and recognized His nearness and His dominion. When there's so many times we would rather believe the theology of distance. We need it to make sense. And it's a powerful thing to be in a situation that even now doesn't make sense to me, but still recognize that He's good. And that He— that— that his dominion was there.
