the largest organism on Earth? Not a whale, it's not a redwood, it's a mushroom. In Oregon, there is a single fungus organism in— shall I pronounce it— Malheur National Forest in Oregon. It spans across 2,300 acres, it's about 2,400 years old, and it weighs about 35,000 tons. And it's that same fungus that builds the structure in your compost pile. It's the same fungus that probably lives underneath you at your homesteads. So when you're making good compost, you're not building dirt, you're building an ancient organism. Guys, I had my friend Sam Parker Davies teach us how to make compost, all the ingredients that you need, and we're going to offer that workshop absolutely free in our school community. That video launches July 26th. If you're trying to find out how to make good compost, I'll see you there.
