Why does, in terms of Invisible Guest, why positioning beats networking? Now, I often talk about the 4 stages of networking and the positioning stage is stage number 3. Now, why does that beat just a normal, plain, flat, boring networking? Networking introduces people. Positioning shapes expectations of the people you've never even met. Networking gets you into the rooms. But positioning, it changes what happens inside a room because there's already, again, your invisible guest that arrived not only in the room, but literally in here, in people's minds, because they've already formed an opinion about you based on what they're hearing, reading, and listening to. Visibility creates familiarity. Familiarity accelerates Trust.
