Apple's next AirPods will have electrodes to read electrical signals from your brain, muscles, and eyes. Kashif Khan says the data reveals your attention, focus, and emotions in real time. Once Apple ships it, other companies will follow, calling it wellness tracking instead of surveillance.

Apple has quietly revealed what the next generation of AirPods is going to become, and no, it's not what most people think. It isn't better sound or better noise canceling. They're putting electrodes into them, which means the next AirPods are designed to read electrical signals coming out of your body. The electrical activity of your brain, the electrical activities of your muscles, and the movement of your eyes. Those are clinical measurements. If you went to a hospital for a brain reading like that, They glue electrodes onto your scalp. So why would a phone company want that? Because brain and eye signals tell you what a person is paying attention to, where their focus drops, and how they're feeling in real time without even asking them. Every device you own already knows where you are, what you buy, how you sleep, and how fast your heart beats. Attention and emotional state is the one piece they're still missing. My prediction is that every other company follows within a couple of years, Once one of them is reading your brain, the rest can't afford not to. And it won't be sold to you as surveillance. It'll be sold as focus scores or sleep tracking or wellness. If you found this helpful, make sure to follow for more because I post stuff like this every single day.
