In this podcast excerpt, Katheline Jean‑Pierre interviews a guest (identified as Henry) about the transformative power of LinkedIn. Henry shares recurring “magic moments” where his short‑form crypto‑capsule videos and other content have sparked career pivots, new business ideas, and even tangible gratitude from viewers. He laments that many professionals neglect a well‑crafted LinkedIn profile, arguing that personal branding is essential regardless of the organization one works for. Drawing on his experience as a former PwC partner, he notes that clients care more about the individual than the firm’s name. Henry also introduces the concept of the “silent majority” – a large audience that consumes content without overt engagement – and urges listeners to invest time in LinkedIn to reach this hidden viewership.

Do you have any magic moment that happened on LinkedIn or somebody that you met you thought was incredible? It's like, oh my God, because of LinkedIn.
Oh, it happens every week. I mean, I would get, I get weekly on a, if not daily basis, people reach out to me, especially with my content. You know, I create this 1-minute crypto capsule videos that I really try to give what's happening in crypto in 1 minute. I have my newsletters. I have so many videos of people that have changed careers. People have discovered a new passion, who discovered a new business line because of LinkedIn. Actually, even I even have at home, a section where people give me gifts, often physical. They're like, wow, you changed my life on this or that. So I really believe that for me, what amazes me with LinkedIn is the only platform that people care about because it's their image, it's their appearance. I'm shocked that I see people that don't have a proper profile page, that haven't updated their LinkedIn profile, that don't get the right amount of bio. And I think that for me, it really shows a lack of business and common sense. I, my last, my message that I give to everybody is that you have to be your own brand regardless if you work for any company, any organization, you as an individual have your own brand. And if you're not building your own brand, I think you're doing a disfavor to yourself. I'm a big believer in the future, it will be individuals that will be really sought after. You know, I was a partner at PwC for many years. Many people didn't know that I was a partner at PwC. They knew I was a partner at a big firm. They would send me any business, but they didn't care where I worked, which Big Four I was, I was working at. It's the same for law firms, especially for people in professional services. Same thing from a hedge fund. Again, people don't know the name of a hedge fund, but they care. They want to work with individuals. And I think LinkedIn is the one platform, the biggest, I think, unknown on LinkedIn is I call the silent majority. More people than you think consume your content. They may not like it, they may not reshare it, they may not comment on it, but people watch it. So spend time on LinkedIn. It's incredible. Well, thank you so much, Henry.
