Justin Wolff, CEO of Junk Theory Skincare, explains why surrounding yourself with lifters—people who uplift and challenge you—matters more than the type of relationship. He describes his ideal community as contrarian mavericks who push boundaries and move differently.
Welcome to Driving Impact.
I've really surrounded myself by incredible people that are like-minded, wanting to do things differently, wanting to push boundaries, always elevating, you know, conscious leaders, things like that, that I think— you're talking about business people? Yeah, business people, but also, you know, friends, the kind of social community you surround yourself with. Like, I don't like pigeonholing people into these are my business relationships or these are, you know, it's like there's so much that the people around you can add to your life in different ways and in unexpected ways. You know, it's exciting to kind of surround yourself by people that lift you.
So it's kind of the criteria for you is creating a community of birds who flock together but are inspiring and energizing and maybe a little bit contrarians. Yeah. Who think differently.
Yeah. And, and move differently. It's great. You know, kind of mavericks in, in whatever space they are. And whether that's business related or, you know, friendship, community building, it's all, it's all great.
And did you know that like growing up you would become a serial eco-conscious, like social impact entrepreneur? Welcome to Driving Impact.
