Hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, Driving Impact Top 5% Method Collective. This is Katheline Jean-Pierre, your podcast host, and today I have a special announcement. Our first ever live episode. Mark your calendars on July 22nd, 2025 at noon PT or 3:00 PM East. We're making history with our first ever live episode, Why Intentional Ambition Is the New Career Currency. So join us as we're going to be welcoming not one but two guests in our podcast for the first time ever. The first guest is Raw Goddess, and Raw Goddess is an author of multiple books, one of which is The Calling, and the second one is the one that she just released, which is named Intentional Ambition. She's the CEO and founder of Move the Crowd. She's also a soul coach and an entrepreneur, and she's coached very famous people like Gabrielle Bernstein, if you know her. She's an author of 10 New York Times bestselling books in the self-help category, and one of the books is named, uh, The Universe Has Your Back. She— Raw Goddess also coached Reshma Chaudhary, which is the founder of Girls Who Code. And then Raw Goddess spent 30 years as a cultural innovator and as an entrepreneur after spending a lot of time in consulting. And Raw's episode that was published in Driving Impact: The Top 5% Method is the one that was the most most popular one, and it's called The Universe Whispers Before It Shouts. So if you haven't listened to it, I'll make sure to play an excerpt after this. Now, a second guest is Shankar Desai. Shankar Desai is my former peer at Google when we were executives. So from building and selling Naked Apartments, his first startup, to Zillow, the real estate marketplace, he led multi-billion dollar portfolios in sales at Google as a managing director of strategy and operations, but also sales. So he's been able to scale multiple companies and scale his own career, but his secret sauce is the power of relationships. Now he left Google and he jumped and he started a new career as an entrepreneur again, where he launched Pebble.ai, which is the relationship coach for the modern age. So together, the three of us, we're going to reveal and discuss why talent alone is not enough anymore, and how intentional ambition, being strategic about your goals, your decisions, and your personal brand is the ultimate career currency. You'll be able to discover as well the difference between hustle and intentional ambition. We'll talk about how to set an aligned career direction. What are the real tactics to position yourself as high value, as a high-value professional in your field? And if you are ready to start directing your career with a lot of intent, join us. Be this person that I'm being called to be. Who do I think I am to do this podcast or take that stage or write that book? Or you all know, right? Or take that role in that corporation or lead those people. All the time. This is all the fear and the doubt and the insecurity that often can hold us hostage, right? Second question always is, anytime we find something we're passionate about, there's a belief that we have to trade passion for money. It is a big belief that either you got passion and you loving what you're doing and you're, you know, making a difference in the world, or you, or you, and you're starving, or you making the big bucks, right?
There is a dichotomy. Right.
That is, there's no way deeply ingrained in our culture. It's deeply ingrained in the zeitgeist. It's deeply ingrained in every single one of our belief systems that you have to trade. And that is the second place where I go to work because I believe, especially given the level of innovation and evolution that is occurring and the speed at which innovation and evolution are occurring in our society right now. I mean, listen, think about it. 10 years ago, did we know what a blogger was? 10 years ago, do we know what a— 15, okay, because I was, I was vlogging, I was vlogging in French. 15 years ago, do we even know? But, but like, there was never even a role called a blogger, and now you have people who are making massive content creators, you have blogs and podcasts, and you see what I'm saying? And if like, well, we didn't know what an influencer was. Now we know the work of influencers is older than dust, right? In other words, we've always had people who have been here to inspire us. We've always had people who've been here to guide us, but there's something about the democratization of technology and the way in which it's now allowed people to have the tools to answer their calling and their purpose more readily and more easily, which are things that we all should be celebrating because the truth of the matter is—
