In this brief YouTube narration, the speaker explains that nisse—elf‑like household spirits—are a central part of Danish Christmas tradition. Unlike Santa’s elves, nisse live within the walls of homes, emerge at night, and cause mischief. The speaker notes that nisse can be purchased, along with a variety of accessories and gear, highlighting a commercial market around the folklore. The segment concludes by promoting the latest episode of the "How to Live in Denmark" podcast, which focuses on Christmas nisse, and provides listening platforms (Spotify, Amazon, Apple Podcasts) and a link.

Nisse are a big part of Christmas in Denmark. Nisse look like elves, but they don't help Santa. They live in the walls of a household and come out at night and cause mischief. If you don't have a nisse, you can buy one, and you can also buy lots of gear for your nisse. The new edition of the How to Live in Denmark podcast is all about Christmas nisse.
