Episode 370 is a short podcast segment with Kenny Keller and Taz Christman. Kenny recommends flying three times per week as an optimal cadence for helicopter private pilot training (allowing flight practice plus ground study), references his book Private Pilot 101 (free PDF available), and announces a book signing in Las Vegas on November 11, 2024. Taz closes with a safety-minded line advising pilots to "hit the hogs" (i.e., don’t fly when unsafe) and references Helicopterground.com.

And we have another tip for you from the private pilot 101 flying three times a week. There's nothing wrong with flying more than three times a week. There's nothing wrong with flying once a week, just once a week. It's hard to make progress. Flying every day might be too much. From this book, Private Pilot 101, I talk about how what I've seen in my years of teaching three times a week is perfect so that you can be flying, making progress in the helicopter, be studying in between. So you're mixing together the flight and the ground training in your in your personal study. Again, you can fly more than that, you can fly less than that. But three times a week really seems to be a key. So again, that's in Private Pilot 101 helicopter training blueprint. There's a free PDF down below. And then something new. We're doing a book signing in Las Vegas November 11, 2024. For top 10 checkride tips, Taz Christman and I put this out several years ago, but we've always wanted to do a book signing and we thought, let's do it. So we're doing it in Las Vegas November 11th. Stay tuned for the location and time of day. Get a hold of Heather if you'd like at 574-767-1797. If you'd like more information about the event and or flying with us in Las Vegas this year.
