Hi, my name is Valerie Alston, and I'm here at the Few Conference in Columbus, Ohio, and I just attended the Winning Conversations course that was conducted by Kenston Henderson CSP EPIC Experiences. We discussed the REM framework, which is respect, empathy, and maturity. And one of the ways that we use all those things was when we discussed about having difficult conversations and being able to be respectful to the individuals that you're having the conversations with, being able to employ empathy where that individual is concerned, listening to their thoughts as well, and then maturity level to be able to sit and listen to their thoughts as well. So with all of that combined, it made for a great discussion overall. I am going to take those techniques back and utilize them every day.
